    I might blow your mind here - maybe not - but that set of bottle cages comes with one of each opening. If you switch the one that's on your seat tube with the one on your down tube, they'll both face left on your bike. Appreciate you and what you do!

      If you are brave you can get a used bike many places. Another way is to visit a Bicycle Recycle that has a partial bike and used parts to pick through. We got the major stuff together pretty well. I had a good bike shop do the final assembly because I haven’t worked on a bike with internal cable routing. I ended up with a great road bike for not much $. Best of luck.

    So spooky...I ordered a DV9 in tan for an XC mtb build project last week....SRAM GX eagle 12 sp...rockshox SID Select+ 120mm fork...dropper post...the works...so this video was some great validation hahaha. Enjoy the bike

    Since everyone is asking, its about $7050 USD if you add up all the parts (Oct 2023). The GX Transmission stock build from Ibis is $5300 retail, and comes with Shimano XT brakes, and a Fox Factory 34. I get you went "mid level", but doubt that a carbon wheelset and AXS dropper lines up with most peoples definition of working class.

    A friend of mine gave me a Trek 7300 and I'm building it into a bikepacker. Ryan at Dirty River Cycle helped me pick all components. I'll be doing the work myself which adds to the excitement.
    That's a great service they offer.

    Where I think this service would stand out is in areas of builds where it isn't as straightforward. Let's say you need a new bottom bracket and cranks. What offset do you need on your chainring? What sort of bottom bracket does your frame need? What kind of chainring mounting system do you want, and why?
    I know it was a sponsored video but it genuinely could be helpful for those things that not everyone knows about

    I got my own hard tail this month. The goal was to return to all the spots where I had to hike a bike on my gravel bike rides and take it to the bike park to learn how to mountain bike. The hard tail wasn’t a silver bullet-I didn’t instantly start ripping down those chunky descents. But so far, so much fun. Really cool being a beginner again, learning how to turn, pump, jump, and all that.

    Does the DV9 feel like a trail or XC bike in terms of position and stack height? Do you feel you have your weight centered, on the back wheel or pushing more on the front wheel?
    I'm asking because I have a problem with low stacks, having pretty long legs (180cm, 86inseam). Thanks

    • @jamesmcmann8536
      @jamesmcmann8536 Год назад +2

      My shop said the DV9 is a XC rocket ship. That said, the stack isn't that low. But the stays are short if you're tall and ride on the balls of your feet.
      The forks on the complete builds can't fit a true 2.6. I'd like a Float 34 130 with 2.6 tires on each end. That would help with the stack and BBH while making it more a fast trail ripper.
