The Caribbean passports in Tanzania are visa-free and you can stay as long as you want, and this also applies if you are interested in relocating to Tanzania for good.
Charles Musiba thank you for dropping by and that’s for your subscription. we are hoping that’s the case but we are still working on residency to stay here.
@@LeraBrowne What are your plans? Are you interested in establishing a permanent residency and work? What kind of work are you thinking about? Sorry for my intrusive questions, but I am trying to gauge out what will be the best way for you to proceed. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dar es Salaam, there is a Diaspora Desk and you should try to go and meet them, they may have information that might help you navigate through those bureaucratic processes (thanks to the British colonial rule :))
Charles Musiba Oh yes, there are some navigating to do but we have managed to figure out some ways to get things done with the help of some subject matter experts here. Hey Guys! My first time watching your channel! I've seen you Lera Brown in the comments of some other youtubers. I just cant pinpoint. i'll be there first week of September!! Im excited!!! I'll be watching more of your videos. Very informational and useful video!

@@LeraBrowne Yes Ma'am. I just got off the phone with Ethiopian airlines, bc my flight changed, and they had to arrange another flight using their sister company to fly me to a different city since they weren't flying out of my city anymore for the month of September until October. I said, hell naw, I'm leaving in September, you all have to find a connecting flight to fly my child and I several hundred miles away to connect to your airline. They were extremely nice and helpful, and it was all included in my previous flight price. Thank the Lord!! So if anybody is reading this, get ready for flight cancellations and detours as you edge closer to your flight date. I've heard of these things, but never thought it would happen to me.

I'm so glad you are catching up. As for time keeping, man, it's hard. I'm a Tanzanian and I know it's frustrating. Time keeping is never an issue to most. You would agree to meet at 10am and the person shows up at 12pm with no "sorry I'm late" or a lot of excuses.
Rev K lots of excuses, it’s so hard to get use to that. Just today someone had to come to fix the door at 11am, no calls no text but showed up at 2:15 and expect me to be there. I left at 12:30. It is what it is for now I am not letting g it bother me much, I just leave.
@@LeraBrowne That's what I'm talking about. I had have a fair share of my life in Europe and and currently in the US and I know your frustration. Still, I love it all the way every time I'm back home with my PEOPLE. I hope that you simply live with it and move on. Remember, no tips for any work done (good or bad) in Tanzania. Nice going guys. Sry they treated you like a foreigner D; its that blu book...its not personal..lol. It's cool to learn that Caribbean locals are straight tho...thats wats up!
The AU, or atleast the black part of it, should come up with uniform visa rules that apply to the special conditions of the diaspora. Anyone from Brazil to the US, of African descent, should be given at least 6 months of visa free residence. If the person decides to stay, he should be able to apply, at a minimal fee in that time, and be eligible to apply for citizenship 3 years later. The 10 to 15 year process currently in place from Zambia to Botswana should apply only people who are not of African descent.
Makala Hanjika I am 100% agree with that suggestion. Automatic citizenship, in that case if you want it. It’s just so frustrating and the steps and process you have to take to get a 2 year residency and still have to reapply every two years and spend more money. I really believe it’s should be from a continental uniform angle and not individual countries.
Linda Bahar hello Linda, thank you for checking in. Sorry I realized I said 1.4tzs. It’s 1.4mil TZS per month. That’s about $600 depending on the rate.
