Hello Grany, welcome to TZ! We have been here for about 80 days or so and loving it here. Welcome!
I know that area. I have a beach plot land near there. I live in Seattle now buy I'm Tanzanian.
Listening to older people talk about the simplest things is so interesting. I can listen to them talk all day, they have thd best conversations. I wish my grandmother was alive, she would've been my BEST and only friend on earth. Hi Ganny, love your channel...
I am proud of your being brave enough to make the journey. Thank you for sharing your perspective and experience! I am trying to get my husband on board to relocate. We plan to visit in 2021.
Enjoy your visit when you come, which I know you will.
Hello. I just found your channel. I was looking to see if there were people my age repatriating to TZ. I want to come to TZ, I just don't want to go alone.
It's best to have contacts on the continent before coming or come with someone. I didn't have any of those but I chose to come anyway. I didn't have the finances to visit before moving here, so it was all or nothing. I took the chance, and I don't regret it.
I agree !I am thinking of retiring after being permanently laid off due to Covid. I have been looking at Tanzania for a few months. Plan on visiting next year and making a decision.
Glad to see someone closer to my age that made the trip!🙂

Beautiful home and surroundings. Does Tanzania have a problem with Water or Electricity being shut off? I hear Gambia has a problem with power and water. I'm relocating to Africa and having a heck of a time choosing between Tanzania or Gambia. Does Tanzania have a problem with power or water?
I've only been here 3 months now and lived in two places other than this house. I have had the electricity go out and so far, the longest it's been out is an hour. I haven't had any water issues but I buy bottled water.
@@gannyelifetravels Right, bottled water! ( I'm shaking my head, why didn't I think of that.....🤦♂️). Sounds like I could deal with the power going out once in a while. Thank you. I hope you're enjoying the beautiful sounds of Tanzania.
Same. Can’t decide between the two
We had such problem previously, but since 2010 the Government has been trying harder to get other sources of energy such as natural gas which is running right now but also there is on going construction of H.E.P country mega project in Selous game reserve, this one is gonna even lower the price of electricity in Tanzania. Choosing between Gambia and Tz also depends on what are you focusing at?? These are two different countries with different opportunities and culture. Yees it's true that We are all Africans but we have also cultural variations, Tanzania for instance, We don't applaud colonial languages people here prefer to speaking Swahili, I wished I wrote this reply in Swahili 😁😁😂🤣. So if you are coming to Tz get ready to learn Swahili in the long run
@@gannyelifetravels Tanzania is going to have super cheap electricity when Julius Nyerere hydroelectric power station being constructed on Rufiji River is completed.
Welcome to Tanzania Ganny👏🏽
Thank you and welcome to my channel.
in Africa, people do no build one -bedroom homes in this kinds of area
Just subscribed sister,,, thank you...
the rent prices are what interest me but you failed to mention any prices during the walk
Hmm, I,m sorry. I thought I listed it in the video. Anyway, the rent for that house is 600 USD. 3600 hundred for 6 mos up front at move-in. This seems reasonably high for some people but because it came fully furnished with everything, including eating & cooking utensils, iron and ironing board, and all new appliances: refig, stove, and washing machine, I saw it as a steal compared to what I paid in the states for a one-bedroom unfurnished.
@@gannyelifetravels give thankhs beloved for your reply it is quite helpful. my Sun is considering moving their along with me. Question, what employment opportunities are available? what business do you feel that Tanzania needs that we could fill? Eye would love staying in contact with you. Eye plan to be there in June for 2 wks to survey observe and relax. Eye recently lost my dear wife of 26 years so eye plan to reflect on the beach a lot. give thankhs again beloved...peace And blessings
@@michaelstallworth1674 The employment in any country of Africa is not something foreigners can easily obtain due to the job situation, which they're usually held by the citizens of that country. Anyone who goes there must be self-employed, is coming to open/invest in a business, or who already has an income to live on. There are many, many business opportunties to succeed there. When I was in Tanzania, I qiickly saw the opportunity for one-stop shopping.
Please hold the phone horizon thanks

Yes
Hey Ganny, what is the average price for a house in Dar Es Salam? Did you use a shipper to ship items in a container from the U.S. to Dar Es Salam? If so what is the average shipping rate?
Also, what did you choose Tanzania?
The housing cost varies and it depends on the location. The city is higher than rural areas. You can also negotiate a price with the owner. The cost can range from $100 USD and up. I came to Tanzania to wait for Keyan borders to open. I sold my household things, and I came with only two suitcases.
@@gannyelifetravels That was bold of you to up and re-locate to Tanzania. I wouldn't mind relocating some day. Although, l don't know if it will be Tanzania.
By the way, what camera do you use for your videos and how do you edit the videos?
I wonder what the value of the house is?
I have know idea.
What is she doing not specific She is vague. I see house pictures from afar no details at all. Where is the house she chose?
The reason I did not mention the house location is because I was just looking around with no intentions to rent in that area, and I did not know anything about the house location. In the description box below I list Christopher as the go to person to find that out if you are interested. However, when I did choose the house, that's when I learned of it's location and in doing so, it wasn't my intention to disclose it for safety reasons.
Make sure you let me know name of realtor
