I am currently on a weight loss journey myself. I started at 198lbs now I am 175lbs. I am counting calories and doing portion control but sometimes the portion can't hold me 😀 but I try to keep it real. I exercise daily and walk alot. My goal weight is 170lbs and I am 62 years old
Have lost a total of 21kg still counting in the last 7 months... At first, I avoided carbs like a plague but not anymore.. I eat noodles, rice, pasta and the rest and still lose weight.... I just make sure I take lots of fruits and vegetables, constant exercise, portion control and I have a special detox recipe I use to detox at least once in two weeks.

Thanks for this. My hubby says he wants to stop swallow cos of his tummy. He now wants to eat rice most nights and i tell him u cant eat all this rice at night!when its not lunch
Exactly it's not just about the rice but very much about portion control as well as how the rice was cooked and what he is eating the rice with because at the end it might be as bad if not worse than swallow
I like white rice, I try brown rice atimes. But I use Nigerian Ofada rice lately. I like the intense aroma. It reminds me of my childhood, my grandma's Sunday family lunches with the rice.

Walking is such an underrated exercise. The iPhone health app has a step counter so as long as your phone is on you, it will automatically count your steps. Simply taking regular walks will help you feel less tired, increase your energy levels & help maintain or reduce your weight, depending on your calorie intake plus how long & frequent your walks are. Start slow & steady if you’re usually sedentary. I started with 10 minute indoor walks (there are home walking videos on RUclips) in my bedroom because I have anxiety about people watching me exercise. Then I graduated to walking to my junction in the mornings to buy cut fruit to eat with my breakfast. I now walk beyond my junction & buy the fruit on my way back home. On average, I’m now walking 3000 steps on weekdays & 5000 steps during the weekend when I do my chores & have more time to take longer walks. I used to take about 1,500 steps on week days & 500 steps or less at weekends because I’d stay in bed all day, hire a cleaner & order out. My ultimate goal is to comfortably walk 10,000 steps daily but I’m not going to rush the process or work within a set timeline. I’m just focused on slowly building my body’s endurance so that walking can become a sustainable habit for me. This puts less pressure on me & helps me enjoy it. I listen to music, the radio, a podcast or an audiobook while on my walks. If you live in a warm climate, go walking during cooler hours of the day so that you’re not discouraged by the scorching weather. I go in the mornings before showering for work. The air is so cool & fresh at that hour. It has become my “me time” & I look forward to it when I wake up.

You are very correct. There is this perception that rice makes you gain weight. But, your clearly explained is not the case which i agree.We need in take of more veg in our cabs. Very interesting session.

Really enjoyed this video and you are so beautiful. I personally eat brown rice, white rice made me bloated and heavy after eating it, but with brown rice I didn't have that issue. Also brown rice takes longer to cook but definitely its important to combine all the tips you mentioned with whichever rice. Thank you.

Hi winnie thank you for this video. I'm finding it difficult to lose weight most especially belly fat I hate it so much. You talk about rice, but most often I eat rice with variety of soup. Is it really health to do small rice and soup with vegetables in your plate? Can you use soup as protein ?
