Been doing that for years myself !! If your like me and seem to catch a carp every spring at the start of crappie season and they run the line off ....SNAP !! But you still have your expensive crappie rod !! TIGHT LINES YA'LL!!
@GrandLakeGuy as long as there is not any tag end sticking out, i cant see how the tyoe knot really matters. If a big, strong fish spools you, its prolly breaking anyway. Unless youre like me, and keep a 40lb braid backer on it.
I use that not for everything turn it on to my reels turn on to my lures tying on to my flies that's the only not that I use but I put a double knot at the end
You made my life much easier! Thx for this demo. I will be using it in all my reels.
No problem! 👍
Commonly known as a slipknot

I just cut and retie when it gets low. Fresh line is always good
10 Granny knots never fail me
😆 🤣
If you put your loop on the other way it will cinch as you real, still an effective method.
Yeah, just a slip knot
Overhand knot with slip knot
Why knot tie a uniknot loop?
The smaller the knot on the end the better. Big knots cause line to spool uneven then you have problems when you get down to 1/4 mark
