    I saw the Legacy for the first time today at the dealership. I fell inlove. Very nice. I drive a Crosstrek now. I just love Subaru. Legacy is my future BMW. Thanks for the review!

      Having owned a few BMW’s, I’m now looking at Subaru after getting screwed on maintenance.

    Great review! And of all I have seen of the Legcy it's the first one to really explain the *practical* function of the paddle shifters!

    Beautiful car, love that information screen. The foreign car companies are taking over the sedans, to bad GM and Ford aren’t smart enough to realize that people do want them. People will get tired of suvs.

    Not very many reviews on the Legacy Premium. Most reviews I can find are for the Touring or the Limited or maybe the Sport. When I buy a car, I usually go at least 1 step up from the Base model. I have a 2021 Premium now and it has everything I want and then some. I also did a factory order so I made sure I got whatever add-ons I wanted.

    I have one. Very good car, not sexy but if you need a good car to throw millage on then its perfect. I have leather and a sunroof and it's pretty solid. Subaru says that if they take care of the maintenance then you shouldn't have any trouble with the cvt.

    I hate that plastic filler cheat piece where there should be glass in the C pillar. A lot of automakers do that to save money I guess, but the straight edge back door cutoff is lame. I like the C pillar glass like in my '07 Legacy or on a new Accord for example. Or a proper Hofmeister kink totally contained in the door is fine too.

    Great review. The local dealer is selling one about $3k above MSRP as a CPO with about 2000 miles. Is that a good buy with the extended warranty on a nearly new car? Also, thoughts on the cloth seats versus someone who has always had leather?

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  3 года назад

      Would stick with leather and if you have to buy in this market, that isn't bad, but you can always find/make a better deal.

      used costco auto program. selected dealers will see at msrp with small doc fee. but must leave 500 deposit and wait about 3 months for delevery. this is the best deal tight now.

      I'm guessing you have never owned a car with paddle shifters. I do and I find them very useful on steep downhills and driving in snow.

      @@boblewis331 I'm guessing you don't know what a cvt is. There is no gears on a cvt. The paddle shifters are just making the transmission act like there are.

      @@boneheadnumber1409umm it lets the cvt hold the ratio the very same as a regular automatic would.....it doesn't have gears but it can still hold the "ratio aka gear".....

      Interesting, my 2014 legacy is almost 8 years old and ZERO problems. It has started 100% of the time, never broke down, ZERO in maintenance cost other than routine. Transmissions has been great

      I got a Toyota forerunner with 400,000 miles on it regular maintenance truck runs like a top and shifts perfectly ! I have two Subarus go bad at 170,000 miles also the rear brake light leaks water into the vehicle if you ask me the interior parts are cheap The only good thing I could say about Subaru is that they drive good in the snow I put A new transmission in the vehicle and I’m still having issues with it when it comes to Subaru you’re talking big money when you take it to the dealer new transmission was 8000 I took mine to the dealer The last time I took it to the dealer it was over $4000 I got two new axles The next time I took it in the CV boots need to be replaced that was $800 also I had the transmission fluid changed twice during ownership $650 ! The timing belt was replaced along with the water pump that costed $900. Altogether I’m 49000 in the hole on the vehicle and it’s at 170,000 miles my mechanic says to scrap the car at this point!!!

      @@gratefulwindssailing I don’t know why but that is a little hard to believe. Subaru is the number one car brand here in Montana every one has one here. It might be the type of car you had. Was it a Legacy or Impreza?

      I used to drive a 2004 Subaru Forester. Has a lot of miles on it and still ran like a dream for a long time. Just recently got a 2021 Subaru Legacy and I haven’t had any issues with it. Doesn’t feel cheaply made and has a ton of safety features.
