Why are these clippers so loud? Is it worth it??

Yea I’ve had mine a little over 1 year and they are annoyingly loud. They are good clippers but mine tend to get louder when I throw on the purple attachments. They seem to rattle more and I’m constantly oiling the blades to quiet the chatter. I’ve even tried to smooth out the cover buy cold working it to fit better with less rattle, I’ve added rubber bands as well and it’s still loud. It also sounds like over time it’s gotten worse. I paid $270 for mine so yeah, for that price they should be quiet like the Babyliss Pro Skeleton Cordless trimmers that cost me $160. Andis needs to come up with a better product for that price.

I have these and luckily the sound is not a huge issue. I’m only using them for small short jobs. And now Stylecraft has the Mythic and game over. Andis better respond and quickly. Gold clippers for more money won’t cut it. Shout out to a DC. One of my favorite cities of all time.

There was a video saying that the lid is the problem. You may have to take of the lid and bend it slightly (by hand) where you feel the noise is coming from. TEST by turning on and pushing down different section of the lid to determine where to bend.

Andis made a mistake by rushing their product out, to compete with Wahl 100 Anniversary model, and a constant nagging from the Barber community being impatient asking for a swift release, is my opinion...and BOOM 💥!!! Now we’re stuck with a $300 “Master” that sounds like a hollow screaming turd 💩...and Andis is like: “Please be patient...” 😳....🤯

I had to put tape around the plastic bracket that holds the cutting blade in order to get them to run softer in sound. Duct tape works the best

With the clipper powered on, try and gently adjust the tension screw on the right side of the clipper with a flat head screwdriver until the noise goes away and the clipper feels good. In my case, I had to slightly turn it clockwise but it might differ for you. I was getting pretty desperate until I finally figured this out. Make sure that after you are done with the tension screw, you check the blade and readjust it if necessary. Hopefully this helps.

Try putting a new blade on it.
Had a loud one in shop and put a new blade on it and that helped.
Seems plastic piece on cutting blade wears out.
Happen to my cordless outliners and I replace plastic piece on cutting blade and loud noise stopped.

Did two things and it fixed it. I trimmed electrical tape to go around the lip for the lid. And also cut 2 little pieces to go in the V's where the tension clip pushes on the top blade. Clean really good with alcohol before doing it. Worked great so far.

@@jonscottcuts well I took off the whole blade setup and cut electrical tape big enough to fit the whole cam follower and put the blades back on. I noticed it was quieter but not to my recommendation so I cut another piece and shoved it off on top of the other piece bc once you take it off the second time the first piece of electrical tape is stuck to the rotary motor. I guess the more tape the quieter it gets. But it worked for me. Try it and let me know how it goes and oh yeah... subscribe to my channel. I will do a vid in depth if you find it difficult.👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Put a Ceramic blade on them I got two sukers, switched out the bottom blade they fire 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 OG I paid 30$ bucks for each clipper 12$ for two ceramic blades. Quality quality clippers......
