the fact that iroh had the royal artifact all along is the proof that azulon wanted him to take the throne after he passed away and Iroh was supposed to give the artifact to his son after he became fire lord. At least he had the chance to give it to zuko who s also like a son to him.

All her life she was raised to be a prodigy warrior, she had no other interaction with other kids her age, besides Mai and Ty Lee. Literally At 14 years old, she made Fire Nation soldiers fear her.

This is my theory as to why Roku stayed to fight the volcano and why he fought it the way he did. His primary objective was to give the villagers time to row fairly far from the island to avoid being hit by flying debris and to not be boiled alive in the ocean when the lava hits it. Also, I'm not a physicist but I believe if you just dump a bunch of water on an active volcano you'd only make it worse because the rapidly heated water could cause massive steam explosions.🤷‍♀️

17:57 Roku did open all his chakras, opening the 7th the chakra at the crown of the head deals with letting go of earthly attachment. It does not mean not being allowed to love, avatars can still fall in love get married and have a life with a significant other but they must be able to let go of that love when the time comes if necessary because the avatars first and most important duty is to the world. So by opening the 7th chakra you are not bound by your own earthly ego, desires and love for people in your life you hold dear. Otherwise the avatar could just fall apart if they lost their love or be manipulated by someone they love and lose sight of the avatar's purpose or betray it's duty worst case scenario. This is why it's so important to be able to let it go if needed.

Therefore achieving flight is not possible for an avatar.
Therein lies the difference between accepting that some things may need to be let go to carry out your duty as they avatar and letting go of all attachments, including any perceived duty to the world.

@@theinsurance2450 No his only earthly attachment was P'li and when she died he had nothing else. Ideals are not attachments. Attachments are things that can make you stray from ideals due to emotional pressure or someone using that attachment against you.
Also he never cared for the world let alone had a spiritual duty the same way the avatar does. The idea that there was nothing else weighing him down was that he no longer had anything to prevent him from just going "ok bye" and leaving forever. He had his ideals and goals but those can change on a whim. The thing that makes ideals and goals weighty is the when those create bonds between you and others.

24:37 Remember guys, Iroh was the crown prince before Ozai usurped him by falsifying Azulon's death wish about wanting the thrown to pass not to Iroh but to him. The royal artifact was probably passed down to Iroh either by Azulon himself or by some other previous heir, since he was the rightful heir, and he probably kept it to himself, especially cuz the decision to crown Ozai came out of nowhere in such a short time. If you think about it, the time frame from Iroh's son Lu Ten's death to Azulon's death and Ozai subsequent coronation was probably extremely short, and probably not long before Ozai's ascention, it was thought that Iroh is about to be the next Firelord as per usual, since he's the firstborn.

Azula was groomed from birth to be her father’s favorite. Firelord Ozai is a second born, like Azula, and raised his kids like it was a competition to see who would replace him. They go into it more in the comics, but basically once Azula showed promise in fire bending Ozai paid more attention to her, and her mother never really tried to stop that. She had all his hatful ideas poured into her. She was scrutinized more than anyone by that evil man. Her mom let it happen, choosing Zuko over Azual time and time again. And the rest of the family (including Iroh) dismissed her. Ozai was the only person who saw her potential and it poisoned her. She is 14 in the show. She’s still a kid, who is trying to impress her parents and make a name for herself. She is like Zuko in season 1 if he didn’t have Iroh.

Ok so here’s my theory on the chakras: I think when the Guru talked about detachment it isn’t isolation or rejection of connections like you let go of your personal connections instead, you do not let those connections tether you too much. I have the same thing with Jedi and their views on detachment. You don’t deny yourself connection but prevent them from controlling you. That means that if you do lose someone you love like Katara or Padme, you don’t go dark side to avenge them or prevent their deaths by any means possible including breaking nature.
I think that’s what the Guru was talking about when he said the chakras were connected. Each pool leads to the detachment one, so Aang should have looked back to the other lessons: ie, accepting the nature of reality and teaching himself to let go of the attachments so they don’t rule him.
    I hope this makes sense.

I won't say too much because it could lead to spoilers, so I'll just say this:
Zuko and Azula are the product of horribly abusive and neglective parents. BOTH chose a child to "raise" and cast out the other. Ursula was no better than Ozai.
Zuko became compassionate because of his mother, Azula became psychotic and power hungry because of her father.
You can think of it like this; parents divorce, they each choose a child to take and ignore the others' existence (like parent trap) except they still live together.

      @turtlesandmoreturtles4140 4 месяца назад +1

Ursa was just as bad as Ozai? She was forced to marry him, so you could argue neither child is her responsibility. Also you're saying they each mimic their favourite parent then list positive traits for Ursa and bad for Ozai which is true but also destroys your earlier point about her being just as bad. And Ursa may have never rejected azula, it's just because Ozai saw her firebending power he preferred her and raised her as he wanted.

One interesting thing about Zuko and Azulas relationship with their parents is that it’s highly based on natural real life dynamics.
A common saying is “A man’s first love is his mother, and a daughters first protector is her father.”
So Zuko having a relationship with the mom and vice versa with Azula and their father makes complete sense and is actually based on real life inter-family social dynamics.

Zuko’s decision for good or bad might be undetermined, but the fact his decision will impact the fire nation IS determined. Iroh is explaining why this is the case, because of his ancestry. 9:51 is the EXACT MOMENT Azula confirmed Zuko was lying about the Avatar being for sure dead!

The reason why Iroh gave the cold shoulder is because he has been gently pushing Zuko thru out the seasons, the last time before piercing Aang with lightning was the one time he went Straight with him. Asking him "What do YOU want ?" and it still didn't work, well it does as we know but he wasn't about to repeat the same mistake again, not before Zuko himself shows progress, so he can make wisdom on his own.
