Very good trek. First we go to Aanand wadi then to peb fort. While returning we went to matheran side. When you reach railway track then take left turn towards neral. You have to do 1-2 km walk to reach near panorama point. From there you can call taxi from matheran through their representative for going to matheran base or neral or Karjat. Second option is to do 3-4 km walk towards matheran. Reach dasturi parking point from where u will get taxi for matheran base or neral or Karjat
Amazing video and stunning footage of the trail! I 'll like to add a couple of lines about three more trekking routes to Vikatgad for the benefit of other trekkers- 1. A faint trail originates from Maldunge (accessible from Dodhani) to reach the col further north of the one that lies on the path from Fanaswadi. A narrow trail goes over the saddle to join the route from Fanaswadi at the col before rock patch. 2. A very very risky traverse can be done from the Nedhe of Nakhind, passing through the peak of Nakhind and crossing a couple of small hills to reach the aforementioned col to join the route from Maldunge. 3. Nakhind Pass route- This is a variation of the usual route from Fanaswadi and by far the most confusing trail: A lone faint trail(which actually goes to Vaghachi Wadi, base village of Nakhind) goes north from the 3rd tower. Look out for an opening in the forest some way after passing the forest beneath fourth tower and hike up the draw due east to reach the col and then proceed along the saddle. All three routes are not often used and are riskier and more exhausting than the usual routes from Fanaswadi, so they shouldn't be attempted without a guide and experienced trekkers. Stay safe and Keep exploring :) P.S. I 'll like to embed your video in a two blog posts about Vikatgad. Here are the links: 1. Subscribed, pretty good and informative. If you have functioning grp of trekkers who regularly trek then please share info. Would love to join. By the way, drones? Not legal in India brother :p
