She got to the Metropolis palette, said we needed it, and I paused her video, drove to my local Sephora, looked at it in person, bought it, and came home. My favorite RUclipsr's are too much of an influence on me!!! Oh well, I am going to use the heck out of this palette. It is stunning!

I have it and what I noticed more in person is that you can pick any four shadow quads and it makes a complete look. The placement made much more sense that way. Each group of four is complete and unique.
You were lucky. Jena Frose in Canada got this palette w EIGHT shadows broken! Mine was packed decently & arrived fine. I don’t normally get broken products (except cheap stuff breaks once in awhile), but like I’m saying as an example 2 days ago my C Color Cosmetics Fairytale2 had 1 broken shade. It’s a dupe for Too Faced Gingerbread but I’m normally about that dupe lyfe but this palette has me SO shook. It took me all of 30 seconds to decide once I saw it was available. You look so nice Michele I loved all the swatches & ur look. I’m v happy w mine so far too! I appreciate the obvious hard work that went into this video. It’s the best Metropolis palette I’ve seen so far! I personally am in love w the color story. I feel like I have a smattering taste from a bunch of palettes she’s made. It’s a feast for the eyes!! I need to watch your PML MS VI review. I got that & im irate w Mother P. for a number of reasons. I don’t think I will buy anything else from her except her ten pans w the special formula. I thought the same when I first saw it, what won me over were the pics of the used palettes people took at the event with Natasha! You could really see the textures and shade subtleties then! I ordered mine from Sephora yesterday am, still eagerly awaiting shipping! The cream to powder shades look so smooth and pigmented. This palette looks like there are endless possibilities 🤗🌺

So glad you got this review up quickly! I have warm, "deep" skin, and I was not interested in this palette until I saw the swatches on the dark model. The colors seem less 90's grunge (compared to the promo pic of the palette) and more sophisticated... so now I am intrigued. Also, that Esum brush (W35) looks SO good when demonstrated. When you use it, I'm like: "Mmm-hmmm.. yes." I probably don't need it, but I NEED it. I just hope it's soft enough for my super sensitive eyelids.

Those green/khaki colors are amazing.. the eye look you did using the green/ bronze shades were spot on for fall! I think I need this palette!
I instantly loved this palette. I felt the color story did not look like everything we have seen out already. It has the autumnal shades, but also draws other hues that are more wintery shades as you mentioned. I also think it complements a lot of her other palettes like Gold, Sunset, Sunrise, Star and the green-brown 28 palette. It can give you a range of looks too. I have deeper skin and I am definitely looking forward to picking it up, but I will wait for the next sale. Someone commented on ND's frequent releases as of lately and I personally don't mind it. I think people who are collectors will want everything from a brand, but traditionally people just buy the products that interest them.

I ordered it yesterday on launch day at 4am and it finally shipped this evening, so I should have it by Friday hopefully. I’m so excited! Holiday makeup releases have been a weakness of mine, but even if I only get one palette this year I’m glad it was this one!
I agree with your statement that this palette is much more appealing in person as opposed to online. I was dead set against purchasing it at first, because I already own every other palette ND has released. I was afraid of too many duplicate shades. Instagram and YT wore me down eventually🤷♀️😄I'm glad to have it as part of my collection, the quality is nothing less than amazing.
Love your eye look! Going to have to try it out. Mine arrived today. Stunned at the fast shipping! With the ingredient list, I remember Natasha saying years ago in an interview she did for Beautylish, that if the eyeshadow contains mica/talc at all, and the palette is made in Italy, that ingredient has to be listed first by law, regardless of the quantity used. So happy with this palette. Perfect size, so many choices, and great for travel. I can see a ton of quads in the layout, which will make using it so much easier. You are so right about being able to see the texture really making a difference! Plus good lighting helps--obvious statement, but it's surprisingly hard to find good images of makeup products. A lot of professional marketing shots are super "flat" and harshly lit/washed out. Your video of the "Green/Brown" palette helped convince me to buy it because I could actually see how pretty it is (which I already suspected, but turns out, the lighting in your videos is very accurate. Thank you :-) ) I think this palette is gorgeous and I'd totally take one if someone was giving them away LOL, but I won't be purchasing it as I never have liked the whole hot/yellow/gold/orange color range. I'm more of a cool/moody/grungy/silvery color fan. So I seldom like enough of Denona's palettes' color stories to pay the price she charges. (Whereas, for instance, Essence, Stila and Viseart always have enough color stories which appeal to my somewhat goth eye.) Thanks again for the super high quality review! You rock as always. :-)

Love love love this look! I"m so into the grungy greens atm. I think an overwhelming green palette is too much this is gorgeous!! I think this is going to be my first ND palette.
I ordered it yesterday on launch day at 4am and it finally shipped this evening, so I should have it by Friday hopefully. I’m so excited! Holiday makeup releases have been a weakness of mine, but even if I only get one palette this year I’m glad it was this one!

I agree with your statement that this palette is much more appealing in person as opposed to online. I was dead set against purchasing it at first, because I already own every other palette ND has released. I was afraid of too many duplicate shades. Instagram and YT wore me down eventually🤷♀️😄I'm glad to have it as part of my collection, the quality is nothing less than amazing.

Love your eye look! Going to have to try it out. Mine arrived today. Stunned at the fast shipping! With the ingredient list, I remember Natasha saying years ago in an interview she did for Beautylish, that if the eyeshadow contains mica/talc at all, and the palette is made in Italy, that ingredient has to be listed first by law, regardless of the quantity used. So happy with this palette. Perfect size, so many choices, and great for travel. I can see a ton of quads in the layout, which will make using it so much easier. You are so right about being able to see the texture really making a difference! Plus good lighting helps--obvious statement, but it's surprisingly hard to find good images of makeup products. A lot of professional marketing shots are super "flat" and harshly lit/washed out. Your video of the "Green/Brown" palette helped convince me to buy it because I could actually see how pretty it is (which I already suspected, but turns out, the lighting in your videos is very accurate. Thank you :-) )
I think this palette is gorgeous and I'd totally take one if someone was giving them away LOL, but I won't be purchasing it as I never have liked the whole hot/yellow/gold/orange color range. I'm more of a cool/moody/grungy/silvery color fan. So I seldom like enough of Denona's palettes' color stories to pay the price she charges. (Whereas, for instance, Essence, Stila and Viseart always have enough color stories which appeal to my somewhat goth eye.) Thanks again for the super high quality review! You rock as always. :-)

Hi! Michele this Metropolis Palette is the one I will be picking to go into the fall and holiday season. Michele you definitely drop the mic🎤on this when I look at the palette it is definitely more deep tone friendly just right for me. I passed on her mini five shade palette with that olive to wait for this one. Worth the wit in my opinion. Thanx M

I've been DYING to see your review on this palette! Thank you so much for uploading it so fast! I just started dipping my toes into luxury makeup and recently bought the Gold palette and Mothership V from Pat Mcgrath and fell in love with both of them!!! I was thinking about getting either Mothership VI or Metropolis (yet I might wind up getting both XD) and I'm curious which one you like better.
