You will get it sir Chris. It disappoints me that anyone would knock you for utilizing chain drive. YOU ARE THE CHAIN DRIVE MASTER! Don't let them get you down. Keep Rolling 🎉
I'm a big fan of his chain systems. I still think he could design a chain-driven rally raid buggy that could complete Dakar, or the Baja 1000. I have been a weekly watcher for many years now, and I have all the faith.
Chris great job! I like your music in your videos but in this one with no music it was fun and refreshing to be able to hear you work. Like ASMR videos out there. thank you.
Hi Chriss I always put the brake fluid in the nipple end and pump it up. But if that can't be done, I get a jam jar, with some fluid in, then i grap a thin hose, attach the thin hose to the nipple then into the brake fluid and pump the air will bubble through the brake fluid and no air can come back in. Great video Chriss, that was an amazing amount of twist travel, great stuff. I cant wait for your next video. Have a great day. Maybe swap the 16t and 17t back around only then you could rev a bit in first still going slow for more tourque as the engine needs to be at least 2-3 grand revs to get the starting tourque.
This thing is such a mean looking beast! (But should not just be mean looking!) It's really grown on me!!! I THINK IT NEEDS TO BE RENAMED 'Ultra4-mini' Maybe U4M? Sooo cool dude. Your cage design talent is on full display here, man! Now you just need it to crawl rocks, and crawl rocks, or sprint, on command!!!!! Put a big engine in there! Maybe a big sport bike engine????
Damn what a beast, can't wait to see you crawl like rocks or steep hills!! but please lower the tire pressure when you're crawling, It'll grip so much better
Motorcycle engines are designed to produce power at higher rpm, you've multiplied the original weight many times and need to rev to it more, bikes don't have a large flywheel keeping it rotating like a car.
Dude you never disappoint i always say that i wish i could work with someone like you to learn how to fabricate ive been a semi truck an trailer mechanic for 8yrs but the work you do is what i really want to do great work bro 🤙 ps. I like 4 stroke builds i know its been easier to run 2 stroke but the 4stroke have the torch and sound ridiculous 😅
If you need small master cyl for other projects, look into VW Beetle and WV van units. They made 2 different ones, some of them had a small reservior on top, the van ones had a remote reservoir.
I honestly think you should relocate the oil pickup in that sv650 engine, they are known to blow up when people wheelie those bikes and you're pretty much wheelieing that 😂
Re brake bleeding... I found that taking the calipers off and holding it with the bleeder as the highest point and shaking then vigorously... Shake the piss out of them! Them pull the bleeder completely and look down the hole watching for the fluid to fill the void then just plug the bleeder back in and voila the plus one gravity bleed! Only required when using multi pot calipers with hiding places for the air bubbles.
may as well step up your game, muh homie.... you are building some sick chassis, you can easily build a mid sized buggy and use subaru and S-10 parts, maybe 1 ton axles. You know those V-tec honda engines are pretty spicy and cheap cheap.
Altho i didn't hear anything brake when you drove off the go kart chassis the first time the rock crawler didnt level out and stayed leaning i wonder if you need springs to level it out
Do you have residual valves in your brake system? If not, your caliper pistons may be retracting too far, causing excessive pistons travel before engaging the pads to the rotors.
Did you bench bleed that mastercylinder , always bleed the mastercylinder before hooking up the brake lines, that will cause a sponging brake pedal if you don't
I’m super curious how much this cost to build I have zero clue how to do it but my mom has been battling cancer and she loves off-roading something smaller like this would be perfect to get her out on some trails again on her good days.
Rock crawlers crawl over rocks. They aren't meant to go super fast across terrain dude. Can you stop trying to cater to the next "whiz-bang" commenter, and just build the over-engineere sh*t that is fun for you, like you used to? That's what helped built your channel bro. #muchlove
just switching the 18 and 25 against each other would had almost the same gearratio than it has now. at the beginning 0,72, now 1,325. A ratio 1 between engine and gearbox should be in between and just perfekt. also you can get rid off the middle axle and drive two chains parallel to handle the torque.
Man you really need to start painting your projects everyone of them are rust buckets there all amazing but rusty 😂 they will last longer and look better ..
🤣🤣🤣Made my afternoon! This whole thing makes me want to build something of my own really bad. But I am 67, broken, and I have zero metal working tools. Minor problem... I find myself thinking about finding an engine off of something broken. But this is New Mexico, and engines get beaten to death here. I'm like a kid stuck in an old fart's body. How the hell did I get here? 😀
Ummm after that first kart frame flex test with the left wheel way up on there (touching the shock), when you got back down the front suspension looked all crooked and broken when you were flat on the grass right before you climbed back up it and got stuck... Am i the only one that noticed that?
Hey mate re brake issue.... and probably completly nothing to do with your issue... but pedal ratio has been a fix for some issues I have seen in the past. Seemed too have more luck with a hanging pedal with bigger brakes. But im also aussie so possibly full of shit.....
You might weld a little half moon steel plate(or bolt on might be smarter) that wrap around the shocks right where the tires would rub at....max out and tire slides on the plate at all 4 corners. A 2 inch reese type hitch on the back would be useful for towing and/or hauling a little shelf around to carry things.
Ok....not to criticize you ...but you can not expect a lot of torque from a high reving motorcycle engine.... motorcycle engines live happy at 5-10 k revs they make there torque higher in the rev range not at idle....you need a low rev diesel to rock crawl if it was me😂

Builds a mini "rock crawler", never really rock crawls with it then complains about it being too slow with the gear reduction that would make it perfect for rock crawling then proves at the end of the video why he probably should've left it alone. You can't build a purpose built vehicle (by his own naming) and expect it to be good at everything. If he did any research on rock crawling, he might know that... The only compromise would be looking for a gearbox that gives you the low gearing for rock crawling like the thing is built for with a high range that would let you go from obstacle to obstacle faster.
You're clutch control is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen how is it you've been building and riding buggies for years yet still haven't perfected clutch control lol 😂😅.
You will get it sir Chris. It disappoints me that anyone would knock you for utilizing chain drive. YOU ARE THE CHAIN DRIVE MASTER! Don't let them get you down. Keep Rolling 🎉

Chris great job! I like your music in your videos but in this one with no music it was fun and refreshing to be able to hear you work. Like ASMR videos out there. thank you.
Spongy brakes check all brake lines are braided, if not hose will expand instead of pushing slave cycinders
Well said
It's 2024 can we say slave? 🤣
@@crystaldragon141yes we can stop pushing a narrative
@@grilledcheesesquarebody guy made a joke, and he is right. They are not called "slave cylinders" anymore.
@ because apparently that is offensive now. Are they not still slaves? They are only activated by the master cylinder right?
Looks like so much fun to drive
Really impressive machine!
Waaaw The rock crawler again, thats a crazy suspension, its great

That thing looks sick now 👍
Damn what a beast, can't wait to see you crawl like rocks or steep hills!!

Always great content mate👍
Do you calculate brake master cylinder vs brake caliper piston bore? The right ratio should give a good pedal feel
What a beast, will be good to see it on some trails flexing 👌🏻
22:07 "What am I stuck on?" 🤣
You put it there lol
master!!!!!
Motorcycle engines are designed to produce power at higher rpm, you've multiplied the original weight many times and need to rev to it more, bikes don't have a large flywheel keeping it rotating like a car.
Fantástico amigo, agora não tem onde não passe!!!Boa sorte!!!
Love it!! Good job!

12:42 Key is the weakest link. Just weld these 2 sprockets on either side of the same hub.
Rigid shaft, bearings, pipe, then sprockets.
If you need small master cyl for other projects, look into VW Beetle and WV van units. They made 2 different ones, some of them had a small reservior on top, the van ones had a remote reservoir.
Is there a plan to remove the rust and paint it/finish it properly at some point? It makes me itchy just looking at it so forlorn and weathered.
I honestly think you should relocate the oil pickup in that sv650 engine, they are known to blow up when people wheelie those bikes and you're pretty much wheelieing that 😂
Aqui é Brazil 👍

What a hero...😀
Love your builds and talent Chris! I just don't understand why you wont get yourself a brake bleeder tool. they are simple and cheap lol
Altho i didn't hear anything brake when you drove off the go kart chassis the first time the rock crawler didnt level out and stayed leaning i wonder if you need springs to level it out
I would hazzard the guess that not breaking the vehicles, while testing, is Not a tightly kept secret.
Do you have residual valves in your brake system? If not, your caliper pistons may be retracting too far, causing excessive pistons travel before engaging the pads to the rotors.
Your video is much easier to watch without that music going, loving it!!!
19:33
Those sounds from the lathe scare the shit out of me lol
Did you bench bleed that mastercylinder , always bleed the mastercylinder before hooking up the brake lines, that will cause a sponging brake pedal if you don't
Chris you seriously need to invest in a few batteries LOL
Get bump stops for the shock shafts
LETS GOOOO🎉🎉🎉
Oh, my, goodness.
I’m super curious how much this cost to build I have zero clue how to do it but my mom has been battling cancer and she loves off-roading something smaller like this would be perfect to get her out on some trails again on her good days.
think you need to plumb in a residual pressure valve and an adjustable proportioning valve wouldn't hurt
I can help you tune those airshocks to where you won’t need bump stops.
If you swap to a Recluse Clutch it will prevent you from stalling the engine at slow speeds
Rock crawlers crawl over rocks. They aren't meant to go super fast across terrain dude.

😂6:39 сказал русское слово "давай"? Или мне послышалось?))
Put steering on the rear wheels as well.
I love the work you do but it's always such a shame to see the rusty frames.
WindRock TEST?
if all 4 corners are being ran from that master cylinder. you'll probably need a car sized master..
bleeding brakes is a 2 man job, one needs to be on and off the brake whilst the other is open and close the bleed nipples.
just switching the 18 and 25 against each other would had almost the same gearratio than it has now.
at the beginning 0,72, now 1,325. A ratio 1 between engine and gearbox should be in between and just perfekt.

Yeah, I'm sure they were designed to drive on the sidewall and the side of the rim like that..... 😂
All the haters are experts at fabricating bulshit from a keyboard ,not out in the shop doing it👍🇺🇲
Yeah, I can build fancy circular stairs and other woodworking projects, but beyond ideas, I'm inferior to his skills.
@scottwright388 spiral staircases are dope!! Have you ever seen one that some guy created that uses no screws or nails? It's in like a cathedral
@evilbeetlekustomscreations4965 I know the story that you're thinking of. I've assembled a couple spiral stairs, but circular stairs are different.
A little math would tell you exactly what size sprockets to run.
💯💪😎
Man you really need to start painting your projects everyone of them are rust buckets there all amazing but rusty 😂 they will last longer and look better ..

Your seat needs a lot more back, head and neck support very dangerous‼️
if brake disks are to thin brakes will be weak and spongy
Soooooooh
That engine will not make much torque until 5kRPM at least
What happened to the muscle car project?
Hpw about let the lad build his own machine and keep your negative thoughts to your self checked his past vids he knows how to bounce

Your brakes probably are no working because you did not bench bleed the master before bleeding the entire system. Try that first.
Always "bench bleed" all master cylinders.
gearing too tall for sure.
EDIT: First gear low should barely give 1 mph in the power band.
🤩☺🙏👏
First 20 seconds is a big FU to the haters.
Hey mate re brake issue.... and probably completly nothing to do with your issue... but pedal ratio has been a fix for some issues I have seen in the past. Seemed too have more luck with a hanging pedal with bigger brakes. But im also aussie so possibly full of shit.....

RC is looking good with the upgrades Chris. Natural workshop sounds are better than royality free muzak IMO.
So you want a rock crawler, not a rock sloth.

arf for fuck sake, who cares
waiting a whole weak for this shit
ok, stalling the engine once is normal, stalling it twice is a mistake. stalling it 5 times - you are an idiot
😁😃😰
That thing is awesome ill trade you for my rzr
