One thing I’m waiting for from is the ability to se the tasks onto the Watch instead of either Overdue or how many tasks in the line of the day. Things 3 does much better on that matter...
Have you noticed that when you complete a reminder the filled in circle looks identical to the same colour circle after you select it on the markup tool palette? Do you think they should redesign the completion circles? Should they be squares? Should there be a checkmark? Should they add an animation?
Carl: very timely, I have been contemplating making the switch to Reminders from Todoist, mainly for Siri use with my iWatch. The dilemma is my company work computer is a Surface Book, the company is on Office 360. Yet, they have issued me an iPad Pro as well. Reminders does not synchronize with iCal, what’s your thought, stay with Todoist? I do like the simplicity of Reminder, and its free.
Carl Pullein Thanks, I did make the change over to a full Apple productivity set up, seems to be working great. Just wish Reminders could show up on iCal.
I am trying to repeat daily on a certain time but can't seem to make it work. When I click on Time, it also brings up days. I want EVERY day.....I do set it to repeat daily, but a date is still selected and it doesn't repeat. Help....
@@Carl_Pullein Thank you. I will give it a try. Such a simple task to be so hidden. I had been using this reminder for a year with no issues on IOS 12 and then struggled here. Thank you again.....
My guess is the thinking is that as it is easy to just tap the Notes icon that would just be considered feature creep and duplication. The image is attached to a note, not a task.
Hello Carl, Took me a bit to figure out that Flagging is a separate function from Priorities, similar to a star function in other apps. Love your videos!
On iOS while viewing an email say "Hey Siri, remind me about this". Siri will create a reminder in your default list with a link back to the original email. You can also select a piece of text in the email and then tap Share, Choose Reminders and a Reminder will be created with your selection as the Subject line and a link back to the original email. On MacOS you just simply drag the email over to the reminder app and drop it in.
You can highlight the text in an email and share that with the share sheet. The highlighted text and the link back to the email will show up in the task.

Ooh, I haven't played around with Reminders on my Apple Watch except to collect shopping list items or to show me a specific list using Siri.
The more you use it the more you love it👍‼️❤️👏✅
That's so true, Mike.
Will you make an updated version for iOS 15?
Working on it right now. Should be coming out in the next month, Nancy.
Thank you Mr. Pullein
You’re welcome, Karim
This was very helpful. I have mine all set up now!
Glad you found it useful :-)

That might come in an update.
Not sure if you have checked out Microsoft Todo Recently but its also got a massive update. Seems were living in the golden age of task managers lol.
You might just be right there.
Can you set the Reminders app so that your most recent dated reminders come up at the top of the list instead of at the bottom of the list?
Do you mean in the project view? In project view you can manually move tasks around.

What phone do you use? If its an iPhone, do you have an Apple Watch?
Spencer Carruth Series 5
You can access Reminders though the web too.

Hi Karen, when you write the task write it like this: “do this task every day at 7am” you will get the repeat that way.

Since we can add attachments then Apple should add that View Attachments feature from the Apple Notes app.

My location-based reminders does not work, is anyone else having the same issue? How can i fix this?
I reset the geo-location of my house and office. That fixed the problem for me.
You choose the default list for reminders in the Settings app. Open Settings then scroll down to Reminders.
Yep. Got it now. Thanks, George.
Carl
Looks very slick but I have an iPad, a windows PC, a windows laptop, and two android phones. Todoist works better for me.
Yeah, that is likely to be a bit of a problem, Nick.
Hello Carl,

Yeah, took me a while too. Got It figured out now though.
Still no easy way to add an email into Reminders. What a miss.
Not really true: On iPad with drag and drop with multiple windows it works quite well but not on the iPhone what’s annoying me a lot...
@@Bloerch2 No bueno on the Mac. If Apple would just add a share menu to Mail.app........
