    This should have 10X more views. Such a well crafted overview of Readwise. Thank you for putting it together.

    This was a terrific video on the power of ReadWise. I’ve been a long-time subscriber of ReadWise, but looked past how powerful ReadWise can be on its own. I’ve been exporting highlights to my notes app when all the while I should have kept things simpler and just used ReadWise. Your video helped me see that. Thank you!

    One of the best videos I watched in RUclips . This content deserves more reach . I read a lot of articles but this is perhaps the best and honest explanation on how to actually manage the information .
    Thank you!

    What strikes me every time you share content either on your newsletter, your Skillshare courses or here is the kindness & will to educate honestly. It's a rare quality, I wish all teachers would need. Thanks for all your work, it will last!

    Thank you so much for your insightful videos and the incredible work you do on this channel.
    I recently came across the documentary film "The Impact" (2024), which delves into critical global issues such as geopolitical conflicts, terrorism, and societal manipulation. The topics it covers are extremely relevant and urgent for our understanding of the current world situation.
    I believe your expertise would bring an invaluable perspective to this film. Could you please consider commenting on, analyzing, or breaking down at least a segment of "The Impact"? It would be immensely beneficial to hear your thoughts on the themes discussed in the documentary and how they resonate with the ongoing global issues we face today.
    Your analysis would not only help in understanding the film better but also enhance our comprehension of these pressing matters. Thank you once again for all your exceptional work, and I hope to hear your insights on this important documentary soon!

    Great content. For those of you who don't like subscriptions, Omnivore does everything readwise/reader does; and for free.

      Hi thanks! I tried Omnivore a while back and found it great for the 'Read-it-Later' functionality. I also remember it having an awesome TTS. However, from my understanding, it doesn't offer the Highlights Review & spaced repetition capabilities that drew me to Readwise as a Highlights Manager-actually, I haven't found this feature in any other app but it's now an integral part of my system. It does get confusing because Readwise (the highlights manager) and Readwise Reader are two separate things. I wonder now if Omnivore provides a similar highlights review workflow... may be time for me to check it out again.

    Excellent video. Please do make a video about your reader shortcut. It looks like an outstanding and useful idea. I agree with you that the best way to remember content is to interact with it multiple times. Also, your IDEA methodology is a good MEME 👌for your idea processing workflow.

      Thank you so much! I am glad you find this useful. I just published a video on the Shortcut (it's for Readwise-the highlights manager-and not Reader though): ruclips.net/video/sJ4JWAv8xao/видео.html

    Hi, I really enjoyed this video, how are you pushing your reading highlights into day one?

    • @afadingthought
      @afadingthought  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi! I bring the Readwise highlight into Bear with the Shortcut I mentioned (more details here: ruclips.net/video/sJ4JWAv8xao/видео.html) and what ends up in Day One is just a manual write-up/reflections that I send in my newsletter (as mentioned on 15:15). So, I don't bring highlights directly from Readwise to Day One though I think the Bear Shortcut could be modified for this purpose.

      I like how you do the journaling on day one. Would love to have a video that explain the thought process.

      @@mickeycheong14 I actually have a whole class on on Skillshare on my journaling system. I talk more about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/fSk6h8VFij8/видео.html
      I hope to share more about it on the channel in the future; I just haven't gotten around to it.

      I watched the skillshare course. Pretty good for notes > journaling. Would love to have one that capture Readwise highlights > learning journal.

    Great video! I have a question: If you change a highlight in Readwise, doesn't it conflict with the hightlight in Reader? I mean, what would happen if you change the highlight in Reader once it has already been changed in Readwise?

    • @afadingthought
      @afadingthought  7 месяцев назад +2

      Sync is currently one-way only (from Reader -> Readwise), so modifying the highlight on Readwise doesn't change anything back on Reader. They are still somehow "connected", since I can easily link back to the original source in Reader from within Readwise, but the highlight itself doesn't create conflict.
