Yes they either don't know what is this mode used for or they are not being professional and upload a video with this turned on and complaining. One thing I noticed about supersaf is that before he was way more accurate with the results and was more passionate about doing these things. Now he is like hey look at this video I know you will click it cause you were my followers for the past 5 years and this is not working for him.
That and the fact that he never enabled (or disabled) the S21 Ultra's built-in motion stability feature lmaoo. If you look up other videos of people using the S21U's camera (in 4K, 60FPS) whilst walking, there's literally almost no video judders/shakiness as they have motion stability enabled lol. My man here had a decent idea for comparison, but didn't setup the S21U correctly at all (or took it out of the good, preset configuration) lol. So there's not a viable comparison here, unfortunately...

You may also have noticed that the audio results differ greatly when using front or rear facing cameras - front facing, the Samsung seems clearer and the iPhone lacking bass. Rear facing, it starts going the opposite with the iPhone having slightly clearer and full sound. Note that clearer doesn't really mean which one has louder mid or high tones, which is the scope of most people's analysis of audio. It involves things like can you hear individual sounds in the mix, can you hear the atmosphere of the surroundings, can you hear the accent in a voice. Does it sound like you are there? This is also dependent on your listening/playback device. Edit : It also depends on the situtation as after reviewing more of the footage, both phones start doing the wind reduction thing and losing some audio quality because of it.

Coming from a samsung guy (who just switched to IPhone 12 pro max btw) Samsung has always had issues with video and its camera software. They have made progress leaps and bounds and this device looks great - but it seems like it's still not quite there yet. iphone always takes top prize in the video dept - but the gap is closing. If Samsung can just get their software processing down, they will be amazing.
i respectfully disagree, the iPhone has better portrait, & video but the Samsung has better night mode & zoom detail. in some cases i give it to the iPhone & in other it’s the Samsung. it’s all about preferences atp both devices are incredible
An interesting observation off the bat. At the very beginning during the intro, pause the video randomly. The iphone's front camera tends to blur much more on the pause while the galaxy seems to maintain a degree of clarity and sharpness much more consistently and reliably. Useful for taking pictures from video.
Okay so : iPhone got : portrait, Dolby Vision video and night video. Galaxy got : Standard video on all lenses, wide angle, ultra wide, zoom, selfie, night photo AND micro. Samsung won for me.

I think another important take away is that the iPhone, being so overly optimized as it is, is already as good as it will ever be. The Samsung is very new, with very new software, even pre-release software. The Samsung will only improve over the coming months, while the iPhone will stay the same.

I'd say overall, the s21 U won. The front camera especially. Samsung has definitely worked on the whole camera system, especially stabilization (though there were some instances where the iPhone was better).
Great video thanks! What I don't understand is that the S21u in low light should in theory blow away the iPhone. The S21u when pixel binned to 12mb has a total light gathering size of 2.4 microns per pixel whereas the iPhone only has 1.4 microns!
The Samsung seems to have a smoothening filter over the pictures and videos that gives a softer look but results in loss of detail, don’t know if there is a setting that he forgot to turn off or not. The Samsung does give you more for your money with the ability to zoom 100x, 8K video, 108 MP, it also has support for 120Hz for the screen when the iPhone is only 60Hz
I bought the s21 ultra 3 days ago and watched the comparison with my s21 ultra, and for my personal camera use im so glad i made the right choice and got the s21 ultra
For video, I like Samsung on the selfie camera and Apple for the rear (except when zoomed in) as the iPhone's on the selfie camera seems a bit too warm and the S21 Ultra seems a bit too pink on the rear camera. Samsung wins on zoom and most photos to me. I like Samsung's night mode better, too. iPhone definitely wins with its portrait mode though. Overall , they both seem like amazing cameras. One thing that was an issue on previous Galaxy phones though, is that if you're on a video call with the selfie camera (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Duo) then the camera view would crop in pretty significantly and cause it to look like you're super close to the camera and cut off part of your face. Is this fixed with the S21 Ultra?
Coming from someone who has used Samsung phones for the past 10 years, I feel hugely deflated and disappointed with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The removal of so many features which seem unnecessary & counterproductive have let it down this year along with a few other gripes. One issue I have is that I find the iPhone camera to be much better in most instances over Samsung. I'm happy to see the front facing camera has been hugely improved but the video on the Galaxy was jittery, poor quality and just awful to look at. It's a shame because I always felt Samsung won the battle of camera quality but iPhone takes the cake over the past couple of years For the first time, I feel Samsung have made it easy for me to either switch over to Apple or just switch to sim only for a while. I was speaking to my colleague about potentially upgrading from my Galaxy S10 and he said "why would you upgrade to a phone that offers less (No expandable storage No charger Screen resolution downgraded (unless you get the ultra model) No MST payment No earphones No headphone jack) & for more money?" I must say, other than a few upgrades, he has a point haha. Hopefully we'll see some better options later in the year or maybe I'll have to wait a year or two before the upgrade becomes worth it. This is all completely my opinion of course & it's great seeing so many people pleased with the new phone :)!

The sound quality of the mic on the Samsung is just insane! They’ve really improved stabilization as well.
I don't think it's that much better. And, personally, I prefer if the video does not look so super stabilized. That's just my preference tho

But heating issue is still there
As battery life is good no problem with heating.

What an excellent review, Bravo Sir. I'm kinda leaning towards the IPhone12 Pro Max but like you said they both are great.
For video, I like Samsung on the selfie camera and Apple for the rear (except when zoomed in) as the iPhone's on the selfie camera seems a bit too warm and the S21 Ultra seems a bit too pink on the rear camera. Samsung wins on zoom and most photos to me. I like Samsung's night mode better, too. iPhone definitely wins with its portrait mode though. Overall , they both seem like amazing cameras.
One thing that was an issue on previous Galaxy phones though, is that if you're on a video call with the selfie camera (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Duo) then the camera view would crop in pretty significantly and cause it to look like you're super close to the camera and cut off part of your face. Is this fixed with the S21 Ultra?

and as we know that the Galaxy S21 Ultra still uses pre-release software, and if the S21 Ultra has got the final software it will look amazing
I think samsung showing the natural colour and iphone is enhanced the colour . But samsung always my fav ❣️,

You always love the iPhone shot more than that of the s21 ultra. In almost all your comparisons.
Coming from someone who has used Samsung phones for the past 10 years, I feel hugely deflated and disappointed with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The removal of so many features which seem unnecessary & counterproductive have let it down this year along with a few other gripes. One issue I have is that I find the iPhone camera to be much better in most instances over Samsung. I'm happy to see the front facing camera has been hugely improved but the video on the Galaxy was jittery, poor quality and just awful to look at.
It's a shame because I always felt Samsung won the battle of camera quality but iPhone takes the cake over the past couple of years
For the first time, I feel Samsung have made it easy for me to either switch over to Apple or just switch to sim only for a while.
I was speaking to my colleague about potentially upgrading from my Galaxy S10 and he said "why would you upgrade to a phone that offers less (No expandable storage
No charger
Screen resolution downgraded (unless you get the ultra model)
No MST payment
No earphones
No headphone jack) & for more money?"
I must say, other than a few upgrades, he has a point haha.
Hopefully we'll see some better options later in the year or maybe I'll have to wait a year or two before the upgrade becomes worth it.
This is all completely my opinion of course & it's great seeing so many people pleased with the new phone :)!
