Haha wouldn't consider myself a tuner, but that's what this series is about is sharing some of the knowledge I've learned in my years playing with these ECUs.
@@Baggedvy Change the fuel cut rpm high and low, keep in mind these ECUs are only capable of having a limiter up to 6350 any higher it will remove the limiter all together.
I'll make one I think, it's the kind of thing I can do any day as doesn't require the car etc haha, I may even go over NVRAM setup at some point but I'd need to find a VS/VT or l67 to play with for that video.
Great video youve inspired me to play around with these now, would you possibly share maybe something with us starter out guys so we can compare and learn from?
From my experience and I've done this a bit, the cheaper ones wear out quickly and don't work anywhere near as well, this $50 cable is a mid range, the high end are 150+, I have a lot of people messaging me having issues and a lot of the times it's cheap cables.
This requires some explanation, yes you could edit your auto ecu but some of the stuff you'd need isn't defined, so you could set the getrag flag and VSS etc and the car will run and won't have an engine light etc but it will have rev hang, the way to get around this is to match the throttle follower tables to that of a manual (but this table isn't always defined).. So my suggestion would be to go on PCM hacking and grab a factory manual bin (they have a topic full of stock auto / manual bins for different models), grab the factory manual bin for your model, disable vats (or get it linked), and write the whole bin to your ecu (not just the calibration), that way you have a full factory manual OS and everything should be perfect. Take note and be careful because if you flash the wrong bin on or for some reason it fails you will be left with a bricked ecu! So I'd recommend getting a 2nd hand ecu to try this with (any out of an N/A VX / VY V6 will work).. With that being said any VX / VY N/A V6 bin can be flashed onto the flash ECUs (don't try flash memcal bins to flash ECUs, it will brick your ecu).
Good video, have been looking on and off for something for a while now. now I can tinker :)
this is great please keep going we need tuners to help

@@CHR0M3x how do you raise the limter ?

Looking forward to the next lesson mate 👌
Dig this video, good little stepping stone into tunerpro. 👌
Cheers!
Can do a video on the fuel tables and timmimg tables
Bang on bro 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽great starting point
Not a bad run down mate, keen as beans too see the memcal version of this video

@@CHR0M3x make a series & do both my friend, I’ll happily tune in 👌🏽👌🏽
@@CHR0M3x Please yes yes yes yes yes yes love to see this
Hey mate can you do one on how to tune na ecu to run l67 for people doin top swaps on vy’s etc

Sorry I missed this comment, what are you after? pcmhacking.net is a brilliant resource has a lot of info.
How would I command the ecu to hold first gear and not shift to second?
Is it possible to change the ECU in the VT to a later model? I know it came up with something about if you try to put a VT flash Cheers Graham
You're better off sticking with the VT ecu and running an NVRAM, real time tuning then.
@@CHR0M3x thx u. I don't know wot nvram is. But try googling it thx
When you say @48 seconds.
Only for the N/A .
Isn't the L67 ECU able to be programmed like your doing here?
Different method, watch my memcal video for that one.
Will any ALDL Cable work? Don't feel like spending $50 on one unless I need too, have found cheaper alternatives

So if I done a manual conversion can I use this program and select manual gearbox and it should run properly?

Can you make a video showing how to make it hold first gear I see you mentioned it but didn’t elaborate thanks
Will touch on that among other things in a future video!
Mint bro! Will you be doing a video in the future doing fuel mapping and transmission shift timing? Very keen to try this on the daily shitter
@@ThomasWarner-j4e Yeah mate, probably be on a dyno for some of those..
do you know if theres anything for the ve's mate?
There is HPTuners and EFILive, might be some other stuff but nothing free that I know of unfortunately.
Can you turn off the airbags thrue this? I have a vy2 i am turboing and will be tuning anyway
Nope airbags have nothing to do with the tune.
pull the srs fuse it stops the beeping and from my most recent accendent im pretty sure turns them off
To turn airbag off you need Tech2 scan tool.
@@SmokeHound69 thanks bro
Can you do ghost cams on tuner pro
Yes but I've never played with it as it sounds horrible on Ecotec, it's just a fuel swing sounds nothing like cam in my opinion
Fix that dint dude! 😉😹
The dents are part of the cars character 🤣
