Made a mistake and lost my career job. The stress caused insomnia... then depression. 😫... ruminating, keeps me in stress mode. I don't sleep anymore. Like a skip on a record,.. i just repeat the story in self-pity.
Firstly thank you for posting these videos. They saved me numerous times and really helped. You are spot on with what happens to people suffering from anxiety & OCD. I use alcohol to self medicate and it back fires every time. It would be interesting if you could do a video on this 💛✌️
Thank you your compliment and I am so grateful if my videos have been helpful. I made this video a while back on addiction and anxiety. It often goes hand in hand, but can become progressively more problematic with time. ruclips.net/video/JNvEbQIiosU/видео.htmlsi=TWc03xAyPixXYE_k
Another great video, thank you.❤ The timing was good, because yesterday I finished a writing order just one minute before the deadline. After that my body started shaking immensely. 😢 I already know this sensation and so I did not go "double down" and panic about the sensation. Instead I did some of my "Animal Flow" exercises which are physically very demanding and I need to concentrate very well on them to do them. The shaking stopped in minutes and afterwards I was exhausted but could sleep very well. 😊
@@PaigePradkoTherapy Yes, it was so over the top, I mean nothing really bad would have happend if I missed that deadline... But I am still so used to sacrifice myself for the needs of others. Animal Flow (developed by Mike Fitch) is a mixture of yoga, bodyweight training and capoeira. It is challenging for people who are not fit at all (like me) but the flow and animal-like movements are very beautiful and fun to learn. They also can be done anywhere and at all ages.
Hey Paige, I'm almost 100% recovered. I have small episodes of DPDR (derealization/depersonalization), and they don't happen every day. They hardly bother me anymore. But one thing that's been bothering me and interfering quite a bit is the strangeness of my own voice, well, not exactly strangeness, but rather an excessive attention to it and my expressions of emotions. Have you ever met someone who has gone through this? Do you know how to help me?

Hi Paige I’m stuck in DPDR it’s horrible 😣 from the moment I wake up till I go to sleep I even wake up with panic attacks and now I’m getting depression from this I feel like I will never be normal again 💔😭😔
I’m so sorry you are experiencing that. If you believe your dpdr has been brought on by anxiety and panic, my panic course may help you. www.paigepradko.com/panic-quiz
@@HigorMatos, yes. And you’re right, it is horrible. Do your best to not ruminate or analyze your doubts. Remind yourself it’s OCD. Shift your focus in the moment to something else even though those thoughts are floating there in the background.
@@HigorMatos, everyone is different. I typically use a combination of approaches including ERP (more response prevention focused) and combine that with the I. A.M. Technique of (Identify, Allow, Shift focus in the Moment), and I-CBT (Inference-Based CBT).

Sometimes that stress response is so unnecessary. I would love to learn more about your Animal Flow exercises. Sounds interesting.

Are you doing one on Autism tue cause for ocd in many if they have had it from.birth
Hi Tom. That is a great suggestion and is on my list of videos to make. You’re right about the co-occurrence of Autism and OCD.
