And now I know I'm not the only one who screen casts school stuff to the tv for the kids to follow along lol Me and My Feelings has been a great resource for us!
Love the basket! We have a Kindergartener and tot so we have broken our basket into two segments. Over breakfast: Poem for the day, calendar, poetry recitation/math flashcards, current read aloud book. Over morning snack (which falls after our hour of outside play): Bible, Scripture/catechism, and then we loop (one daily) of either OT Books Song, NT Books Song, daily affirmation (from Jaimie as well), days of creation song, or missionaries prayer:) We did MB all last year, but had it combined and I have found breaking it up is perfect for us! We are on week 7 of this school year so I think we've found a sweet spot.
oh, I love those daily affirmations, I need to get those! I have never heard of Thistles and Biscuits, but love what you showed that you have from them and definitely going to check them out!!! Thanks so much for sharing so many great resources, so many that I haven't seen before and can't wait to check them out ☺
Love Jamie's affirmations! We use that in the mornings as well. It's so beautiful and empowering. This is a great selection to start off a good day! 💕💕
We don't call it morning basket since I've never had a basket, we just call it Together Time. We do a prayer, Bible Memory verse, Five in a Row, Laying Down the Rails, and Notgrass history, science, and on different days we do Spanish, music, art, and catechism. And sometimes we may do family read alouds but usually we do those in the car or in the evening.
