Thank you. I definitely needed to hear this. I’m over working myself. & I’m constantly exhausted. It was fun at first and now it’s becoming a task. I ran into a situation where my client hated her hair, and I ended up giving her a full 300$ refund 🥺 I was so tired that I didn’t do my best. I felt so defeated. This was the first client that hated my work, so I definitely took it to heart. Thank you again ❤️
Hi, absolutely overworking yourself can definitely take away the joy and fun of it. It's important to take breaks so you have time to breathe and fall in love with your craft again. I can definitely relate to to having to over a full refund, the day it happened to me I took it so personally but I learned from it. I know it sounds cliche but it's part of our journey. No problem at all :)
I’ve always had the idea to do hair. But so scared of many things. This video has helped me so much, I deal with a lot of anxiety & other things. Thank you so much!
So glad you made this video because I am a hair braided and have been for over twenty years and I recently retired but lately I’ve been thinking of starting again but the things you stated are so freaking true. I hope more people watch this.
I really loved this video and it taught me so much about just the small details it takes to start in this field and it's really going to help me start to build my foundation for myself and a strong promising sidehustle.
This video helped me so much honestly I just started doing hair I was originally a makeup artist so this is new territory but people I know I get mad at me because I always low ball myself and charged like $40 to do a full head of box braids but now I’m trying to up my prices but make it reasonable without also not trying to be perfect each head. This video helped a lot thank you!
I'm so glad to hear, I definitely feel you on people being mad at you its a process. But with all the work you put in, its only fair you are charging reasonably for the amount of time you put in
If I was your friend I'll be upset w. You too😅 @ least charge $80+ I done $40 once for box braids. Now I've been out of doing hair for almost 2 yrs, but I'm not going lower than $60 for kids & no lower than $80 depending on certain braid styles & no lower than $40 with other styles because eventually I want to do silk presses etc.💖🔥
I really want to give up because the first two clients I had didn't really work out like I planned and I didn't even get my money haha, but I guess it's because I was so naive at the time, now I'm just practicing and trying to learn more about the business so I can start of stronger this time😫
I understand, I gave up as well and sometimes its difficult. I worked for free as well but you just gotta keep practicing and working and your business will grow. Feel free to check out our episodes where I talk about the business and other tips
I'm dramatic as well so I can relate 🤭 and today I just looked at one of the pictures I took recently and realized that my lines are much cleaner ( I currently practice on my sister's hair bc I can't get clients...) 🥺🤍
yes someone that can relate lol. Thats just how it is overtime your work will improve and you might not even realize. Before you know it you will be booked constantly
Yes you can. Make a FB market post saying you need models for hair braiding photoshoot. Tell them they have to pay for the hair. Buy the hair and charge them double what you pay. Take 2-3 clients. You will get the practice you need and you'll get exposer. Then create a style seat with those pictures and get ready for the moon because that's where you are headed. 😍
I actually stopped braiding hair because i didn't feel like I was skilled enough. But i think i need to get back into the habit and book at least 2 clients a week... This side its hard because i charged my prices without braids because i can't supply the braids
Thank you so much for your advice. Now I learn 2 things from this video..I have question: How many clients can I take for a day for beginner braider? Some say depends on your work pace but I want to know the exact number of clients can I take a day?❤
@@MadeInDivineAuthority thank you so much for responding. 🥰🥰 I've been waiting for your response because I'm planning to open up my hair braiding business🧡
Thank you so much for the tips. Plsss what advice do you have for someone who is slow, my work is good but I 'm slow and its giving me concern. Thanks in anticipation
Hi, I can definitely give a more. detailed video on this but for me I noticed once I started to do the same thing over time I just naturally picked up speed
@@MadeInDivineAuthority Thank you so much, I dont mind if you can do a detailed video. Infact, I will appreciate it.I am so slow that I do box braids for 10 hours. This has discouraged me to look for more customers.
Thank you!! I can braid but I need to work on the neatness and a few other things....I am looking into paying 500 for one of these classes but was wondering if it's worth it. I'm a face to face learner
Hi, if you are going to pay that much an in person class is best. Especially when those fine details like neatness. If its online I think that's quite a lot of money since they can't correct your mistakes. Also make sure that you vet that they are a great teacher not just a great braiders
Love your channel and good job on this video. It was so nice for RUclips to recommend your channel to me. I am also a small youtuber like yourself. Just watched all of your videos.

i realize I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream new movies online?
@Thaddeus Jad Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)
@Nixon Elian definitely, been watching on FlixZone for months myself =)

Omg, thanks for the video I feel that way when I see my mistakes, but the client never sees what I'm talking about, they always love the end result.
