- In War Thunder Germany has plenty of premiums at the higher tiers of ground forces but in this video we cover the Leopard 2 PZBTL 123 which is a 10.3 Leopard 2a4 premium for Germany. This tank is very average but being average can also be a very good thing for a tank in War Thunder.

bought it some time ago and grinded all the way to top tier within around 350 ish hours using almost only the leo 4 premium, great thing

About the ammo: I recommend using 17 apfds and 3 heat rounds for a total of 20, this is in general for every leopard.
I barely use the 3 heat rounds, they are only useful when facing armored cars behind cover where you can pen him and made the tnt takedown the crew without a direct hit.
In rare cases i run out of apfds, and when this happens, i usually have 8 kills already and the match is about to end.
The leopards are great tanks to hit and run, they are very strong behind a hill where you can cover a wide area and let your team capture a point, plus with the laser rangefinder, thermals and "orbital optics", it is so easy to spot and achieve "sniper" reward.
For last, aim to the center mass of enemies when they are showing his front, it depends the nation but it is always the lower plate or between the turret and hull to get one shots. In side shots, aim between the driver seat and the hull where the turret is mounted, always works.
I hope it works for new players in top tier. If it was me, this could save me a lot of deaths.
I think the TURM III is probably the best as it’s unique and decently high rank

@@bread3161 depends what nation you like most and tanks i like Russia more because of auto loader and ka50 but that's just preference, germany is in a good place right now cant go wrong with the leos 2a5-7

How do you change the colour of the camo net?
Carrying a few HEAT is essential for the Leo as against light tanks you dont have a .50 cal that can pen their sides and rears. Its a good tank...it sells well in RL 😅
I got like thousands hours in this game i was needed something to grind out the German tech tree then i saw there thing i instantly bought it. It pretty good tank i bounced lots of shells i bringing like 12 shells to dont get ammo racked from hull. I got like 3 kill every match. So its a really good tank my other thing was the turms but idk it is worth it?

Did exactly this a year ago. It did help me grind but just know the learning curve is steep and be patient with yourself. The play style at high tier is entirely different and areal eye opener. You must be much more cautious. Learn to peek ridge lines with your bins and play it as a sniper. High tier is really awesome but dudes will snipe you from 2000m if you expose yourself instantly. Have fun it's a great tank just don't get too frustrated!
I'm about to unlock the tech tree 2a4 and will get a talisman for it to have a poor mans PzBtl lol

That's my plan one tank left and then I will be able to research it. I hope talisman sale will be next month
Buying Tam 2 ip and then talisman on leo2a4 during sales is a better and more economical choice
The top round is a bit below average, you often can’t pen the lower front plate on Soviet tanks. Also, the thermals aren’t high res. Other than that, it’s ok
The leopard 2 was one of the first german tanks that had thermals so you cant really say anything, also dont go for the front all the time, go for the side and if you go front go under the turret.
As a noob I bought it and I suffer with it
I started with the ww2 tanks then I moved to premium tanks and learned overtime
I’ve finally bought the leopard 2a4 and I’ve curved stomped the enemy
The only drawback was limited ammo to 16 so I can avoid getting hit on the lower plate… yeahhhhh I need that ammo…. But I don’t want to die by getting one shotted
Just bought it as my first top tier after grinding all the way to 6.7, even brought in my tiger 2 and got a few kills haha, thanks for the tips

take only 25 ammo with you and you will survive a lot more shots you don't want more than 1 row off ammo in the front.
For me 15 is great. If you take 15 ammo there will be no ammo at the front only at the back of the turret. Its a great way to increase the survability. I just bought it and its fcking amazing 8 battles 6 win and 36 kill in Realistic.

Low quality thermals I just use it to scan areas most of the time I turn them off
