Giving shift + a as a default keybind for air just proves they don't even play their own game
hundred percent, that’s something that wouldnt even reach the playtesting stage due to the sheer stupidity of binding that to movement keys

What you missed is that there are two new keybind for dropping chaff and flare individually without the chaff / flare selector. Those are "Fire chaff" and "Fire flares".

@@DasDaniel007 No, he is only talking about the "Switch countermeasures" button, I am talking about the other two separate buttons.
now an option to play with very limited cas in ground rb. cas is still a major problem in ground rb. i dont mind that its their its a good thing in the basics just cas is almost untouchable from the ground and a lot easier to get lots of kills. and just cap one point die and cash in the kills from 15 km away.
Everyone but Russia has to deal with cas. They are the most overpowered in every aspect.
@@gus8310 in every br they are either the top dog or a shared 1st place as top dog. Their is no br to my knolidge where ussr/russia struggles. And in 10.0 and up they are way way to strong. Russia is on both teams quite a bit nowadays wich is telling. To few play other nations as a result of their opness.
@@bencarmine3032 I agree. My point was that they have all bases covered. Their cas cannot be touched by any other nations AA, and their AA is in range of everyone else’s.

Yeah 4 games in a row i got 2 of my best tanks taken out by a heli 8km out
I have a way to get rid of this once and for all
Step 1 go to controls and type in the search bar : visual weapon selector
step 2 disable this setting by pressing the unbind key or use an another keybind which would not interfere with your gameplay
Havent been able to get a single small match in top tier so far
Me too but the grind has gotten worse you can't compete with Fox 3 if you have Fox 1 and I'm researching the new plane

Just not really at BVR... but most of my personal combat is WVR and there Fox 1's work just as well as Fox 3 not counting the flight model for them... like MICA or something

Thanks for bringing attention to the Visual weapon selector... i WILL be using it, heck, sounds useful to me, but you are right in that it is a bad shortcut bind, so imma rebinding it. Thanks!

That new menu bound to Shift A was very annoying. Glad I was able to quickly unbind it. Same with the flares and chaff separator keybind.
Honestly they should have made the weapon selector menu more ergonomic, it should have probably been more like the Fortnite emote wheel so you can change weapons in half a second by pressing the button and moving your mouse in the general direction of the icon on the wheel, and then confirming your choice by letting go of the button or something like that. They could have done this for countermeasures aswell tbh.
My opinion aside, it would be really cool if they didn’t automatically bind new functions.

Thank you for the tips on how to get rid of the new keybinds. I use Shift/L ctrl as throttle and it really annoys me when I'm trying to WEP and roll at the same time. (Holding Shift and A/D cancels out the roll.)
same I use shift and L-ctrl then scroll up for chaff now and scroll down to flares
Yea I hit it so many times and was like I think people need to know how to turn this off.
Wait, did you not know how to change keybinds? You got to high tier without changing any keybinds at all?
@@Arcain321 The new keybinds I mentioned apply to all tiers, not just top tier. The reason I couldn’t change them was because I couldn’t figure out the name of the keybinds. (I realize now that I could have looked harder)

I like flying low, between buildings in helis in GRB. Shift+A keybind got me to crash twice lmao.
The chaff and flare selection keybinds was such a bad idea. I couldnt rotate my plane with A+D even if i did not pressed shift. I noticed i couldnt fly properly with my 57mm Mosquito. I got shot down while tried to turn it off in ground RB. Thanks Gaijin!

the shift A and D was especially annoying for me because I use shift and ctrl for elevator
When I play tank en my 3pv camera wobbles around as if it was on a big flexible rod at the back of my turret and it is super nauseous, I can’t find the settings

How do you make wt to have longer render distance?? Mine render fences like 50meters from me and im at movie settings, is there a mod or a crew setting or what?
Im on xbox series s and i have a longer render distance than that, hmmm
Are you on pc? There’s a slider for that, I think it’s called tree range. It’s for all small objects not just trees. However keeping it shorter can be useful, since some objects won’t render at distance. Tanks will think they are hidden when they are not and you can just shoot them
I was wondering if I would be able to make a line up for Ground RB where I use German Tanks and have a USA Plane in that line up, I’ve never tried it and I’m wondering if it’s possible?
No that is not possible unless the nation has a Lendlease/ Captured/ event vehicle of another nation.
While the keybind they chose was not ideal by any means, once changed having the ability to quickly select exactly what weapon type you want is easily my favorite thing out of this update. For players who carry 3 different weapon types it saves time to select the one you want instead of wasted times and wasted clicks.
The Radar auto switch is what I’m finding the most annoying. I can’t have my MiG-23ML manually in MTI mode anymore. As I usually keep closer to the hard deck as it makes it harder to hit my plane with a radar missile.
Same how do I even get it into mti mode now
I have this weird setting that popped up this patch when I’m playing a jet i use alt+____ depending on what key bind I have set but now when I hit alt and either w or a this vertical and horizontal guidance message pops up and I can’t figure out what it does or how to get rid of it.
Yaw axis for aimed weapons and Pitch axis for weapons aiming is the setting.
Its for using bullpups or nords on jets.

I agree with you, I always wondered how do they always get higher FPS. I have pretty decent Gaming PC that can run any games smoothly and i only get like 50-80 FPS in War Thunder...
Why did they add smaller battles for air but not add tank only mode? I dont want to grind for spaa that will most of the time be used for aircraft and Im not interested into aircraft, even with a premium plane its still boring to play and it takes a long time. Also in the gamemode all aircraft should be excluded, including helicopters.
Because you can’t keep expanding queues, ground already has night battles. If you put tank only mode that would be 3 different queues for RB.
@@DawgIVLife why were the night battles even removed in the first place?? They didnt even had to reintroduce them as a seperate mode. Also they added stupid weather that is basicly night battles, so why even bother with them, and how many players play night battles and I wonder how many people would like a gamemode with only tanks.
How is spaa only useful for air game modes? It doesn’t unlock planes? Or is used in air battles? If you don’t like cas, use spaa? Until they change the game, git gud
@@Arcain321 and why would I spend my time on spaa when I can get for that spent RP a tank that will fill my lineup? Also I would rather research some light tank or anything else instead of spaa, sure the new spaa's have AAM but does it even matter when an aircraft can just use chaff/flares or be 8 or more km away and point and click with ATGM's, and what are the chances of there being only 1 aircraft, there is a higher chance of there being more aircarft than spaa's on your team. Also how about you get good at reading, I didnt say that spaa is usefull for air gamemodes. Also most of the spaa's are shit, some are great but still lack in some areas, for example I like sdkfz 251/21 but if an airplane goes above you, you are screwed because you dont have enough elevation. 2nd example kugleblitz goes against jets, which sometimes is and isnt a problem, depending on a match being a uptier or downtier. And the US has a lack of spaa, and USSR is mostly good with spaa atleast till BTR-ZD, after that I dont know, also Sweden beginning spaa's suck because of the lack of rotation speed and I lost interest in sweedish vehicles I dont know how are they above rank 3.

shift + a is a bad keybind but damn, people really hate change. this is a SMALL thing at the bottom of the screen. you act like it is a GAME CHANGER and clutters your screen.
Here is another example they added the crew voices I don’t care to hear crews talk I am able to turn that off. I don’t need this weapon selection tool why does it have to be on the screen, player choice will always be better than being forced to use something.

@TheSuperbadkid nope unless you have a targeting pod aircraft then it lets you which makes me think it’s a bug and should be fixed.
Is ANYONE experiencing the problem of trying to designate something on the mini map and when you click the left mouse button, the main gun fires and no mark is displayed? I have also encountered this when I attempt to change the number of shells taken into battle with the sliding bar. ANYONE, please help if you know how to fix this.
I had to change that weapons selector thing from Shift+A cuz that shit got me killed I have shift as a different keybind with something else and I hopped on the game and started playing AirRb and I dove on a enemy and when I did I hit Shift to use the regular setting I had but instead it took me to the weapons selector and at that point you can not steer your vehicle so it face planted me into the ground and I wasn't to happy I had 5 kills and would have had a 6 if that didn't happen. Damn BS selector mode..... I changed it the second I ate dirt. I WAS RIP Shit cause of that keybind bull$h!T.
I have Problem with War Thunder.
After i installed the update 'Seek & Destroy' , when i run War Thunder Client (eac_wt_mlauncher), it writes: Fatal error, Exeption.
I tried literally everything, i started it from the launcher, i checked the files, i installed new drivers, i restarted my laptop, and even deleted the 'cache' folder.
I'm telling you, nothing works, the Developers just ruined my launcher 😦
In case you ask, i'm with the following PC specs:
HP ProBook 455G1 (a laptop),
16GB RAM DDR3L,
Video cards:
AMD Radeon HD 7640G (integrated with the processor: AMD Radeon A8-4500M APU 1.90GHz),
AMD Radeon 8750M (removable and replaceable video card),
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Pro (not activated),
and my War Thunder files are 52.6GB, Full client.
Please help!
In the warthunder files there should be a folder for Easy anti cheat, open it up and you should see a repair EAC program that might fix this issue.
Why dont you just delete the keybind for it? (Weapon selector)^^

Bro, just scroll through Control settings and look for the KeyBind and remove it, its not difficult
First off, if they put new controls in, they should NEVER keybind them for you. We're 40 patches in, no one has the space for them to just put things wherever they feel it should go.
Second, FFS, everytime they add ANYTHING ELSE they put a yellow flag to draw your attention to it. WHY DONT THEY DO THAT TO THE CONTROLS THEY CHANGE??

It’s a market skin but if iirc it’s super expensive since it’s from one of the first boxes.
This update is the worst update in years. The sound is borderline shit. All sounds are muffled, feels like playing with helmet on. It's horrible.
moving crew slots is the dumbest implementation since it only works for a single preset
That’s how you would want it to work though? Means each preset can be custom to what you need.
