You can dodge most all aspect missiles fine given the circumstance, but missiles with IRCCM like that are more advanced, meaning that you have a zero percent survival rate instead of like 50%.
That was technically the case prior too (F-4C at 10.0 vs Su-25BM, Jaguar IS at 11.0). Still a really stupid change especially because now it isn't a max uptier situation lol

I think Gaijin was always hesitant to make big changes because they clearly don't understand or know the intricacies of their gameplay well enough to get it right. I think that's why they rely so heavily on incremental changes and statistics. Bit embarrassing , like it's still in beta.

Honestly the F8U-2 is really fun to fly right now, mostly thanks to the wing rip changes. You can actually put all the performance mods on it and just fly, really only needing to tap down when you get close to blacking out, no real risk of instantly snapping your wings anymore. New favorite plane of the patch, easy.
Yep, I've been ripping it around the skies for a few hours now and yet to rip my wings once. I've gotten to 14gs for a couple seconds multiple times, and even hit 16gs once, but no rips.
@@lucascam9212 It's not just usable, its one of the best planes in its BR bracket now with the BR changes lmao. Even without the wing rip changes it would still be good, but that change made it go from good to absolutely insane.
With the aim9e's you can pull a hard turn and temporarily move outside its gimble limit to get more shots pointed towards a target, just a small fun fact for players that might end up needing to use them, its super helpful since the missile only gets like a 15g turn max and its way more reliable to just use your own momentum to aim the missile and let it do the small adjustments.
With these early missiles especially, you have to make sure you aren't pulling any AoA. It doesn't matter if your nose is pointed at the bandit, if you're pulling 20 degrees of AoA to get your nose on, you're drifting off to the side by 20 degrees. That's why the missiles are flying off to the side because they still have that inertia flinging them off the rail.
fun fact: the Belgian F-16A is 13.3 just because it has AIM-9Ms. This makes it sit 0.3 higher than the JAS-39A, who has the same amount of 9Ms, but also 12x more countermeasures and an HMD. Oops.

People are generally biased against the F-5C for some reason. Probably because they see it a lot in battles. But the F-5C is a mid aircraft at best. And it takes tremendous skill to use it effectively because you only have guns to rely on, unlike some mig21 with 6 R-60s and a rocket for an engine.

Yeah, since the last update I played for a bit, but the damn game is so filled with new bugs and broken things that worked before, that I start loosing interest in the game. Such a great concept of the game, but unfortunately gaijin.
19:50 they cucked it counter missions also and changed them to small despite them being 2 inches wide by 3” x 5” long and apparently Geisen cut off for making something. A large counter measure is 55 mm. Which is mind-boggling because the countermeasure flare the aardvark uses is a RR 119 the literal best countermeasure that America had for its time. And a flare weighs 2 pounds.
Japanese T2 and F1 jets, as well as the japanese f104. All no flares in a br with all aspect missiles. Not to mention they're not the best at dog fighting the jets at that br since most things are faster and more maneuverable.
Since there are so many weapon groups on a lot of planes nowadays at least for ground attack weapons i have switched to using seperate binds for them all, CTRL for rockets ALT+CTRL for Rocket Salvo, Space for bombs, Alt+Space for air to ground missiles, Right Alt+Space for Guided Bombs. I use X to spool and fire air to airs but I wish we had separate bindings for fox123
ah yeah, the J35XS at 11.3...it is like J35D(10.3) with extra 12FLRs and 2 extra AIM9Js....it does not even have RWR...and it gets uptiered like 9/10 times :(
Your missile at 7:40 went off course not "randomly" but because you fired it while pitching the aircraft hard. Your plane has momentum, and the missiles inherit that momentum when they detach, and if you've ever seen the classic demonstration of swinging a weight and then letting go you can see that the weight does not continue in the path of the circle (your direction of travel) but in the direction it was going when you detached with that momentum (remember, your plane is pitching up above the actual direction you are moving!)
The reason why your missiles arent "going where its pointed" like at 4:12 or 7:40 is because of plain physics. The missile is going to keep its momentum because it has nothing to rotate it anymore except for its rocket motor, which doesnt work that well cause it's a 10g pulling missile. I kinda assumed you knew that already cause you understood that missiles needed to be lead For better launches, you should both lead your missile and wait till your plane stops pulling aoa

So, if you're in a 2-circle with someone pulling 20 degrees of AOA in the process, and shoot when he's in your crosshair, the missile doesn't come off pointing at the target. It comes off pointing 20 degrees behind the target, and then has to make up the angular difference before pulling lead. This has been a mechanic for as many years as I can remember FR though. This plane was aight before at 10.0, but now it's the very definition of mid in every aspect. One may now even say outright bad...

i am currently playing the JA37D was BR 11.3 and before the update it was tottaly fine now its BR 12 since there are only a frew BR 12 jets like the F-4J us and UK version, tornado F.3 and mirage F1C-200 i get constanly up tier to BR 13 i have only had 1 down tier out of 40 games alot of the other BR 11.3 jets before the changes have stayed at that same br untouched most of them are premium i think if the currently BR 12 jets where BR 11.7 just like the MIG-23ML that was br 11.3 before it would be totally fine. But now its just a pain to play the new BR 12.0 and for some reson i had a frew games playing agenst F-16C's for some reson. This update i crazily broken.

Idc what people say, air br should be tied to production date, that way each plane only faces planes it would actually see and not something built 20 years later. Alternatively decompress the all brs of air not just top tier.

I feel like the J35XS is also in a relly fu*ked place. 10.7 so its always uptiered into the SARH and Planes carrying 30+ Flares. Sure the XS can carry 9Ps (6 of them) and has a 30mm Cannon but it carries 12 counter measures with no RWR. The 9Ps are entirely Mid by that point if not lower and 120 Rounds in a weird placed cannon make the thing literally pay to lose. You are entirely closed off to playing like a Ninja to get any assortment of kills.

No need, really. You pick big rocket, you cut the burner while there is still some space between you and missile (not necessary for most thing, but you can meet Aim9L in planes without flares, so this is advisable) and then you yeet the rocket. Note that this doesnt work against radar missiles.
Honestly Idk why but the Vark gets completely destroyed now honestly if they want to mess with its BR at least bring back its acceleration close to what it was when it was released
quick tip for when you get those weird angles with the aim9Es, roll the plane around full 180, the missile gets a better launch that way most of the time, Why? idk
I've had early sidewinders turn right and vanish even though the locked target is in front of the aircraft and it happens quite frequently and the sparrows are just as bad
BR changes made the F-4S worse too, got sent to 12.0, and always faces 12.7 or 13.0, never down tiers. Always fighting MiG-23 and F-14, or AV-8 w/ AMRAAM
So everything moved up pretty much so the f104 can go to 10.0 the mig19 to 9.7 and super Sabre to 9.7 and the squadron hunter to 10.0. Then decompress the compression from 9.0 to 8.0 and it's like they made a good change

Took them long enough. The plane having weak wings irl is no excuse when you can pull 17g's consistently on an F16C and not rip.

It doesnt change anything for mirage f1, it is the same planes that have fox3 than before
@@Skramort The F1 is now 12.0, planes like the SU-27SM and MiG-29 SMT are 13.0. it absolutely changes things for the F1, and F-4 Phantoms for that matter. They now face planes with 4 fox 3's and 4 IR missiles.

Things that benefitted was the unaffected 9.7s like t2 in theory facing less aim9l and r60mk but in most of the games I played I'm still fighting a10a and su25k
Because they werent actually moved. Now you cannot meet them at 9.0, but thats about it.
Idc what people say, air br should be tied to production date, that way each plane only faces planes it would actually see and not something built 20 years later. Alternatively decompress the all brs of air not just top tier.

I dont play WT anymore but i watch the videos, is F4C at 10.7 now ? thats one of the reason i stopped playing always the dumb BR changes, F4C was my favorite Phantom bcs of his BR at 10.0

I feel like the J35XS is also in a relly fu*ked place. 10.7 so its always uptiered into the SARH and Planes carrying 30+ Flares. Sure the XS can carry 9Ps (6 of them) and has a 30mm Cannon but it carries 12 counter measures with no RWR. The 9Ps are entirely Mid by that point if not lower and 120 Rounds in a weird placed cannon make the thing literally pay to lose. You are entirely closed off to playing like a Ninja to get any assortment of kills.

No need, really. You pick big rocket, you cut the burner while there is still some space between you and missile (not necessary for most thing, but you can meet Aim9L in planes without flares, so this is advisable) and then you yeet the rocket. Note that this doesnt work against radar missiles.

Just dont take anything small. Because stuff like mighty nouse/S5K can only defeat aim9b and r60.

Aim-7D's were actually really good in early match high altitude BVR at 10.0. Probably not so much now, with it facing R-24R's.
I can't find an up to date spreadsheet of the br changes anywhere
quick tip for when you get those weird angles with the aim9Es, roll the plane around full 180, the missile gets a better launch that way most of the time, Why? idk

I've had early sidewinders turn right and vanish even though the locked target is in front of the aircraft and it happens quite frequently and the sparrows are just as bad

I like the changes, MiG-21bis got a very nice buff
BR changes made the F-4S worse too, got sent to 12.0, and always faces 12.7 or 13.0, never down tiers. Always fighting MiG-23 and F-14, or AV-8 w/ AMRAAM
So everything moved up pretty much so the f104 can go to 10.0 the mig19 to 9.7 and super Sabre to 9.7 and the squadron hunter to 10.0. Then decompress the compression from 9.0 to 8.0 and it's like they made a good change
You should try out the F-4E, it's in a really good spot now with the br changes since you can't go up against 4th gen fighters anymore
At least some things are playable
