      you know... as a marcissist myself you idiots kind of piss me off to be honest. EVERY God damn person on this planet is narcissistic to some extent. Lack of narcissism means you don't love yourself, and if you don't love yourself you don't have confidence in yourself, and if you don't have confidence in yourself you're disappointed with yourself, and if you're disappointed with yourself you start hating yourself, and when you start hating yourself.... well, you get the idea... hopefully....
      See how it works? Narcissism (love of your own self) is NEEDED for humans to live happily, and you're saying "you're narcissist" with such hate and arrogance that you're the pitiful ones, actually.

      In what manner did it "work"? You ended a relationship for no good reason if you only did it because you thought the other person might do it first. As with George here. So you beat them to it. Grats. You do realise that the point of this sketch isn't to support pre-emptive breakups because it is silly to assume the worst. You'd only be creating the conditions that make a breakup inevitable. You talked yourself into it and now you're merely trying to retroactively justify it. If you feel you need to breakup with someone, do so. If you don't then don't. Don't create solutions to problems that don't exist. It's just too much work! Enjoy each other until it is not the case and move on. Trust me, that other person will survive your savage rebuff.

      You say that he poisoned his fiance, like he meant to do it, and we all know, that her death was an accident. I mean, George was a complete narcissistic a-hole, and there is a plethora of situations that George instigated and/or took part in that we can look at to define his character. Situations, that would turn even a seasoned criminal's stomachs, but, I don't believe that George was a cold blooded murderer.

    Remember that it was actually Elaine who ruined this relationship for him. George is often put in terrible positions by others and doesn't have the competency or confidence to overcome it. He really liked this girl and was treating her well and his insecurities once again screwed him. He is a lot more likeable when you dig deeper into who he is. Most of his dysfunction came from his psychotic parents. In the early seasons especially he really isn't a bad person

      Depends on your partners' level of insecurity. I'm sure there'll be a lot of examples from people saying it either has worked for them or not. Truth is it varies from person to person, can't really state it really works unless you mean in your particular case.

    • @omikronweapon
      @omikronweapon 4 года назад +1

      It can. But don't forget this is a show. If you believe this was a smart move on George's part, you forget a few key points. One: she didn't want to break up at all, he just got insecure, leading to two: he díd have something to lose, a nice looking girlfriend. Not to mention it's a shitty move, and if she ever found out he did it júst to get out on top, she'd leave him after all. Who wants to be with someone that plays mind games like that.
      In the real world, if you're a George, the best reaction you'd get is "ow wow that sucks, I'll guess I'll move on, I got ten guys waiting in line anyway". Or more likely: "Do you think you can do better, little troll?!"

    • @sunkintree
      @sunkintree 3 года назад +1

      @@jorgeeduardodussanvillanue46 It only works because you are actually willing to walk away. Meaning it's not a trick. If it were a trick and you tried breaking up and it actually worked, you would be incredibly sad. The idea for George is that he doesn't care anyway. He wants to leave the relationship he has no control in, unless he gains control in it. It's a win no matter how it works out. In this way, it always 'works'

    • @Ondkloss
      @Ondkloss  8 лет назад +9

      +whiteshadow59 That's interesting! I can assure you it is not my cutting, but rather the TBS syndication that has caused this. I knew that they had cut some seconds of the end segment of some episodes, but did not know they had cut seconds in the middle like they have done here. Of course there is also the more notable change in aspect ratio, losing some information in the top/bottom, but getting a wider view, which is also exclusive to the TBS syndication.
