[hd] Hey guys, I'm alive. This is my first time editing Non/Disney in over a year. I wasn't sure I was capable anymore; any inspiration and motivation to edit just disappeared. I thought I hit the age when I couldn't edit anymore, and I thought for a while that maybe it was time to move on. I've had a large amount of significant life changes in the past year, and I've really had to work on my mental health. Now that I'm doing better, my desire to edit came back.
Many of you may know about my late boyfriend, Josh. He died 5/18/13 at just 23 years old. This April he would have turned 32. This time of year is always hard for me, and I was inspired to let out those emotions through editing... so this video was made. I think he would have really liked it.
The timing on finishing this video couldn't have been more appropriate either... this morning my granddad passed away. So although this video is dedicated to Josh, it's also now dedicated to my Papa Neil. He's been very sick the past few years, so honestly it's a blessing that he's finally passed... but it doesn't make it easier to deal with when it finally happens. Doing the final touches on this video was difficult and brought new meaning to the project.
I don't know how active I'll be moving forward. I'm giving myself zero expectations to edit, and if I do, then great. It might be a video a year, it might be every month, it might come in bursts, I don't know. I do have some personal family videos in the works; I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's something I'm focusing on moving forward.
Thank you to all of you who are still here and still follow me. Thank you as well to all of my editing friends over the years, even as some have stopped editing. No matter what, on hiatus or not, the editing community has always been a source of comfort and support, and a great creative outlet. I still have plans to pursue this as a career, but that's had to be put on the backburner.

This is so beautiful, the voiceovers really hit it home for me ❤️ and I’m so sorry for your loss.
My grandpa passed away last year after being sick for a long time. I was happy that he could finally rest but it still hit hard when the moment came. It still hurts from time to time but every day gets a little bit better.

Holy shit, I started breaking down when I saw this video. The editing is flawless, and I the voiceovers are absolutely perfect.
I just lost my grandpa on mother's day, 2 days after my birthday. He was my best friend. Thank you for making this edit, and im so sorry for your own loss. I will treasure this video.
