The way he leaps off of rooftops is full of the exaggerated swagger of a black teen. It gives me goosebumps every time he does it.
I love Miles Morales, and personally the end to this game hit me harder than the ending to the original.
I didn't get why people hated Miles Morales. Everyone was saying that the game was too short and Miles is not Peter.
That's the point of the game. The game was short because it took place primarily in Harlem instead of the entirety of Manhattan like Spider-Man PS4. Also, yea he's not Peter. That's the point of the game. He has to learn from scratch, practically, that he can be his own thing and not stay inside Peter's shadow. I especially liked this game because it was much more personal than PS4 SM. While the PS4 game was big, it didn't hit as hard because Peter has already been Spider-Man for a few years and he was used to maintaining somewhat of a balance between his normal life and superhero life. Miles is still learning. Also, Miles Morales takes revolves primarily around his family (Phin was practically family when we see her) and the ending of the game hits harder because of this.
It’s rare that I subscribe to someone so quickly, but after your Unmistakable Humanity of TLOUP2 video and this one, I’m so hooked. Amazing stuff. Would love to be on your level of video creation. Will definitely be an inspiration for the future. All the best👊
Explained it beautifully, the main lesson take away is how we can ALL be Spiderman, by taking the lessons and wisdom of what is around us to make the world a better place
Personally, I found Jedi Fallen Order's themes and story more of a summary of 2020 on how to preserve and proces all the trauma of the past year. Especially the ones that bleed into the current one but that's just me.

It really is nice to see Miles gaining much more fanfare.
I'll never be a huge fan of his original comic run, but the new games and movies have lent him a much greater deal of depth and realism. He's like a more in-tune with the community Spider-Man, and that's a very refreshing pace. I don't need him to fill the role of Peter and Peter doesn't need to be the one always interacting with the community (it may be a part of him, but it isn't anywhere near as relevant as Miles). There's a balance to it that I really appreciate.

11:13 While I get your point there, I always saw the newer DOOM games as avenging humanity. Yes, the Slayer ignores almost everyone he meets but by the point of Eternal I started getting the sense that it wasn’t just about John Wick-ing the demons over a rabbit anymore.

I have never played these games, as I am not much of a gamer, but I will say that I appreciate the references to Spider-verse, which is probably my favorite Spider-Man movie. I will say though that I am somewhat interested in playing these games now

While I may be wrong, if he did, it would likely be something of a mashup of the topics explored both here and in the Fallen Order and Clone Wars videos he did. i.e. looking out for the common man and the failures of old dogma.

Underrated
This video made me realise that Peter parker is slowly losing his status as friendly neighborhood spiderman less and less not by choice but by circumstance as the threats he is dealing with become bigger and bigger and threatens of all of new York rather than just a few streets and a small group of civilians and miles introduction as spiderman couldn't have come at a better time for Newyork it happens before Peter loses that little guy persona as more villains will soon reveal themselves such as goblin and more.

Miles Morales is always going to be a tokenized character. If he was the same personality in an original character...dude, kick ass! But no, we got a lesser Spiderman; in which case, why settle for second best when you can get the original?

Hello, pretty good video, I was wondering fi you had thoughts on The Walking Dead Series by Telltale, particularly S1 and S4 which rather uniquely covered a rather human stories of reconciling dillemas of bestowing right lessons in different contexts and having faith in each other, the importance of choice and it being deprived with conscription, etc.
S4 especially has been really good and i was curious if you had opinions on it.
I've never played past S2 in The Walking Dead series but your description of some of the themes has piqued my interest. I should probably check it out soon. I always thought it was expertly written drama, but it's been years since I thought about it, so maybe the whole thing is worth a revisit then!
@@ArTorrPresents well, for me, S2 had some good intentions, like showing Clementine's growh from events of S1, starting out alone, depressed and without direction, ultimately rejecting corrupted version of mentors within Kenny, Jane and Carver(though i think Kenny having Carver's role as originally intended would've been cleaner narrative decision), and learning to come into her own, and take up guardianship herself like Lee did with her by taking on AJ was well done, but pacing didn't really allow for moments of character bonding.
S4 in comparison essentially is a mirror of S1, Lee and Clem start out as strangers nonetheless bonding and giving Lee something to strive for, while AJ and Clem already start out as only people in each other's lives;
S4 has them settle down vs S1's constant being on the move,
Clem in S1 is a kid with strong moral compass but no survival skills, so Lee's dillemas are about getting her through events wtihout breaking her heart, while in S4, AJ only knows the harsh world and its rules, so he's good at survival, but he has completely black and white outlook on things whcih makes it difficult for him to integrate in a society. Another theme covers the importance of choice both to the player by making decisions as well as characters having agency and what being conscripted would deprive them off, illustrated with numerous characters who can be contrasted with being given ability to develop and grow vs being deprived of that choice and being stuck in their problems.
it feels like a pretty appropriate ending to the TWD series, where need for survival is already gone, the worst of Walkers is eroded through society adapting to it, so now the question is less about how to survive, but more about how to rebuild, what kind of society to form, and difficulty of reintegrating, which is something last story arcs of comics also covered.
How to live and stop being the walking dead, only trying to survive basically.
What did you think about Ghost of Tsushima?
I liked this game a lot but I like the original better because of 4 reasons 1. The game was longer especially after adding in the DLCs 2. I liked the combat mechanics better because being able to electrocute everyone with every 6th punch(gadget) felt like cheating 3. I hated miles in the first game because of how annoying he was in the DLCs and in the main game being one of the dumbest characters (who sees people shooting machine guns into a crowd or a bunch of convicts raiding a military base and decides hey I should go in there when I don’t have superpowers yet) and I couldn’t entirely get that taste out of my mouth for this game 4. They screwed up what the tinker was supposed to be he was an old white guy not a young Hispanic girl I understand diversity and stuff but you could have made a new villain or used one just Roxxon you didn’t have to change the character background just for diversity. However all in all I still really like the game

But she acts so butthurt that she thought Miles wanted to join her cause which is kind of understandable, but she’s an urban terrorist. She also needlessly (during that chase in the middle of the game) smashed some driving cars with people in them, those people are dead.
When Miles warned her about the bomb would kill the entirety of Harlem, She obnoxiously accuses him of lying, (again) sure, he did lie about wanting to join her cause but that was nothing compared to everything she did, which makes her look like a blinded hypocrite.
And honestly; her last moment redemption moment felt forced and kind of unearned
