I was never a Christian, I wasn’t raised Christian, and in fact my aunt who raised me is a witch. I found Jesus the end of last year and my view point of life completely changed.

We live in a world where people spread this idea that religion has never done anything positive for anyone. Once someone starts to realize that’s not true, they can’t go back to living how they did before.

Yeah, I don’t like that some people are treating it as a trend. I truly believe God is calling us back because Jesus is returning sooner than we think or know. I think so many people are getting internal urges to come back and start their relationship again or for the first time. It’s incredible how many people it is happening too. ❤

I found God after I lost my Mom at 23, well it took me 10 years to fully believe but my Mom always said everything happened for a reason and I believe my last gift from her was pushing me towards God. Long story but nice to read someone had a similar experience. God bless you ❤
Honestly, I’m also a God girl now, and I think society and people in general strayed too far away, and the lack of morals actually lead to a lot of bad in many people’s lives. Speaking for myself, having no upbringing in church, it’s been incredible discovering God, and how good it feels to be have faith. Very exciting movement. The one part I don’t love is that in certain “cool” churches in FL, there’s a lot of performative aspects like, of people trying to be the coolest/ best Christians, and that kinda disappoints me… but hey, if we’re all trying to be better versions of ourselves then excellent.
I agree and sadly those churches are working a little bit on the enemies side because they value, being relevant as opposed to teaching the truth 😭 sadly. Do you have sound teachers to learn from otherwise? I would recommend a pastor named Paul washer! Or Tim Keller, and a woman missionary named Elisabeth Elliot! That's why I stopped going to churches in my area in Florida and I find that virtual churches are better for me because they care less about being cool and being in God's word.
I was deep in occult actually. And a spiritual war saved my life. I went to take a "nap" (I wasn't tired so IDK why) and when I closed my eyes I wasn't asleep, but I couldn't open my eyes. It was strange and I was sitting in the middle of light and darkness. I'm not kidding, this dark entity was like hey come on you hang out with us all the time. You don't have to be scared blah, blah, blah. Then there was a light entity (Jesus or an angel IDK) but he just spoke and the demon got scared. I was so torn because again occult was my life but I was terrified of what I saw from the demon and felt comfort from the "light side". I could even hear the voices of my family praying for me and for Jesus to save me. I woke up after I said "I choose you Jesus." Well this happened 5 or 6 years ago, but ever since then I've been slowly moving away from occult practices until last year it was like the dam broke and I was just done with it. I accepted Jesus into my heart and have been living to be closer to God ever since. And it's true about friends! I have a really good friend I met 2 years ago and we have become so close because she shared her own testimony with me. And now I have another friend I met at a pageant who is a God fearing woman and such a pleasure to call a friend. God can, will, and did!

The part about friends I can totally relate. I’m still having trouble finding my “people”. A lot of my friends in the past idolized crystals and new age stuff. I could never relate and felt like I had to hide my faith around them. It was exhausting. Fast forward to today, I’m still praying that God helps me to find friends that share the same faith and love for God as i do.
you will love trust me. I grew close to two amazing people last year who exhibit God’s love and God continues to bring me closer to people who are faith literally every day. Mind you over the summer I was feeling lonely because I felt like I didn’t have true friendship. He’ll do the same thing for you sis keep having the faith ❤️
I def relate! I was into witchcraft for years and when I converted it was hard to find friends, but He brought them to me! I intentionally prayed for them in detail while He was working on me. Keep praying and on His timing it’ll happen!! Trust me it’s worth the wait ❤️🔥

It’s kind of scary because I feel like this Christianity wave is hitting all of us all at the same time and I’m happy to see it. I finally stopped fighting God and trust him again in 2023 and now I feel even more closer to him and I’m glad I opened my heart to receive his love, discernment and clarity. I was raised catholic but I’m open to something new starting with reading the Bible lol. Hopefully, 2024 will be the year more people will open their eyes, see the truth and choose kindness more. I have been both Catholic and Protestant. Both have given me benefits. I have learned that God is BEYOND earthly forms of religion; and I have outgrown the earthly institutional forms. Jesus and I are friends. He is with me at all times. The one thing I got from reading the ENTIRE four volumes of Butler's "Lives of Saints" during my early Catholic days: SAINTHOOD IS ABOUT CONNECTING WITH GOD FROM YOUR HEART, NOT YOUR HEAD. The saints all demonstrated that. They focused on their DIRECT connection, and still remained catholic by membership. They did not concern themselves with the earthly buildings. They were "Friends of God" by their connections of their hearts. The HEART is where God lives, and people who remain Catholic or Protestant can find sainthood regardless of their affiliation.
I’ve been a Christian but real Christians in my opinion let their lives speak for themselves no announcement needed. My content occasionally is about my faith on RUclips but it is who I am.
As Christy said above, evangelists are naturally going to be more vocal. There are all also teachings on endeavoring to lead a quiet life, letting your conduct be the testament of your faith rather than your words, and letting the wicked continue in their wickedness and the righteous in their righteous works, etc. It is a matter of using wisdom to know when to speak up (letting Holy Spirit give us the words to say in such moments) versus remaining silent and retaining our peace. But whether compelled to say something or not, our actions should always glorify the Father. If the fruit of my life in Christ isn't evidence enough of his worthiness, then my words are ash.
Wow! The synchronicities are real! I started going to church again on New Years Eve and have gone every Sunday since. I decided that this is going to be my year! However, my big "test" was when I crashed my car the other day and have to get some very costly repairs at an auto body shop. For a couple of days, I really beat myself up for it, but then I decided that I wasn't going to let this incident keep my down. I'm blessed to have just enough to cover my repairs and I'm blessed to have the support of my family and my new and old church friends. I appreciate you for this video, Kelly! 5:49 Last semester I transferred to a new school, so I don’t have very many good friends, and I haven’t truly connected with any of my classmates. This semester I have 3 new classes. One of those is public speaking. On the second day of class we had to give 60 second speeches about ourselves. I found out about half of my classmates were Christian! Which was already amazing in itself, but then something crazy happened. The morning before the third day of class I prayed that I’d be able to build friendships and a community with the Christians in my public speaking class. Then as I was getting ready to go to school I watched RuslanKD’s video reacting to this one. When you started to talk about community I was like WOAH. I was so surprised because I had just been praying about exactly what you were talking about at 5:49. Thank you for this video Kelly. I can tell God is working through you. 🫶
The enemy wants us to think that being “spiritual” = divination and religion = God. In reality, neither religion nor divination are of God, or at least what religion has become is certainly not godly. Every time I describe myself as a spiritual person, people automatically assume that means witchcraft- it does not. When I say I am a Christian, people think I’m a religious spirit- the religious spirit is not of God. We are spirits inside a body living in the world, but we are not of the world and we are not our bodies. God is a spirit, and so our relationship with him through His son Jesus Christ is a personal, spiritual relationship. It requires us to walk by faith and not by sight because everything in the world contradicts what God tells us and teaches us, so we have to leave the world behind and seek Him.

You are so spot on about being tempted and side tracked. After I humbled myself and asked God to show me the right man for me, turned out I had already met him. I didn't realize it until I stopped giving any attention to options that were distractions and drama. I just had to practice keeping promises to myself and to be patient. Unrelated but we're wintering in Austin and planning a side trip to Dallas. Hoping to meet some new folks (not of the occult variety lol) and have a change of scenery. It's bitter cold in Wisconsin.
I honestly love this for you! I gave my life to Jesus in November 2022 and kinda checked out from social media. The way my life has changed since then is mind-blowing. I am so much more aware of the spiritual traps set out by society and even social media. We really do live in an upside down world. I've had to distance myself from a lot of my worldly associates and went through a very lonely season. God, however, saw me through it. I learnt a lot within that season. All the things that I thought mattered all of a sudden seem so trivial to me. I know that God is currently preparing me to be a wife and wants me to enjoy my walk with Him. I trust that His plans are pure and better than anything I could have even imagined. And I pray the same for you. I pray that God will enable you to keep using this platform to share the gospel and that the Holy Spirit continues to speak through you, so not only will people hear, but they will also understand. May God continue to bless you and work through you, and may His favour and grace follow you all the days of your life ❤
my sister married a christian man, and we became close with his family. I began to see so much love, generosity, and community between them and their friends, church, etc. My husband and I (fiance at the time) had our own upbringings (me catholic, him jehovah witness) but had strayed away and never really connected with either, yet the desire to have a relationship with God never left. One day we decided to go to their church, and 3 years later, we haven't stopped going. We encountered a love like none other. I've experienced miracles, healing, and things I can't explain other than the God we serve is a GOOD God. Our lives are changed forever. :'-) I appreciate your openness on your channel Kelly. THIS. When my then boyfriend (now husband) brought me to his church, which he had not attended since his teens year, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. The amount of love in a single setting was unimaginable. God intended us to lean on one another and to have community, something our modern day culture lacks severely in. His walk with Christ got derailed after his father’s death. But one day he felt super convicted out of the blue and told me “We need to go to church.” And the rest is history❤

Yup, I was atheist at 18-20, got too many distractions from the enemy, then dated a girl that practiced occult (without my knowledge, she hid it), and I got fat, depressed, and broke. Went back to Catholicism by 23, now I got a great physique, a job in I.T., savings, close to finishing my bachelors in C.S., peace of mind, and discipline. Never going to abandon the faith again and will be cautious of strangers that aren't apart of/aligned to the Christian faith.
Brother-in-Christ, please be careful of the Catholic church. As a former Catholic myself, I have learned the hard way that much of the Catholic church's doctrine is not biblical. Sadly the Catholic church places more emphasis on man-made traditions than on God's Word. Please read the Bible for yourself so that you can rightly discern wolves in sheep's clothing. Both periods were in childhood when I had not choice in the matter and lived with my mother first (who put me in Catholic school) and then with my grandparents (who were Baptist). I went BACK to Catholicism at 18 and remained so until my early 30's. There is much POWER in going BEYOND the EXTERNAL trappings of ALL religions and going to the HEART of the matter: LOVE. LOVE is what connects us to God, because God IS Love. We are made in the image and likeness of God/Love. When you make love operative in your life, it really does not matter whether you belong to ANY church -- Catholic OR Protestant. The Institutiional BOXES, called "Churches" are NOT where God lives. God lives in the Heart. One of the things that I did for myself as a Catholic was read the ENTIRE FOUR Volumes of Butler's "Lives of Saints." I studied ALL of the saints that were in the catholic calendar. There was ONE THING that they had in common: they ALL FOUND OUT THAT DIRECT CONNECTION WITH GOD THROUGH THEIR HEARTS WAS THE WAY BACK TO GOD. That is what made them Saints. Although the Catholic Church officially canonized them and declared them "Catholic Saints," the TRUTH is that they were just SAINTS, or "Friends of God" through their devotion and DIRECT experience of the Connection from the HEART. They never became "ex-Catholics." They never declared themselves such. Because they were born into Catholic realms and families, they accepted such, but they did not become stuck with labels. They just focused on their DIRECT CONNECTION with God and Jesus and let the institutional church be in the background of their attention. So, that's what I do. (even though I am not a saint). The institutional church will fall away NATURALLY as a result of your focus on what really matters: connecting with Jesus with your HEART and letting your heart rule your life. There's no need to be "careful" for the Catholic Church or to warn others. People have the right to explore and experience things for themselves. I never tell people to stay away from the Catholic Church, because the period during which I was Catholic was a necessary experience which helped me MIGHTILY when I needed something spiritual to cling to. It was a source of much upliftment and comfort to me. I EVOLVED and GREW BEYOND the need for it NATURALLY. So, I harbor no ill will. There is beauty in ALL religions -- as WELL AS that which stunts people's growth. But people are at different levels of understanding. The Saints became Saints IN SPITE OF the Catholic Church. It did not stop them from connecting with Jesus or rising ABOVE the Church. It worked until it no longer worked for them, and they went on to GLORY in Heaven regardless.

And somehow it never occurred to me that the source of this block could come from the enemy! But I feel you are right and I need to ask God to help me find the right path to pursue in my artistic endeavors ❤
I totally feel this. For years I was in a circle of flaky friends who only called me when they wanted something. Eventually, I said I had enough and distanced myself from that entire group. One thing I didn't anticipate was not being able to fully participate in my favorite hobbies without that group. I tried other avenues and found a lot of unsavory people. I realized those just weren't for me. One day, I was walking on the beach (I'm in Florida) and passed an old lady who asked me if I knew Jesus. I said yes. I didn't go to church, but I was raised Christian and keep and respect many of those values. The old lady said she could tell, I assumed because I was fully clothed at the beach. A week or two later, I meet my boyfriend, a priest (Episcopalian). We met on Reddit of all places. The man is everything I was looking for in a partner: tall, handsome, kind, intelligent, patient, family oriented, loves anime/Asia culture. We have so much in common, and we are looking into building a life together. He tells me that the state of the church as a whole, isn't very promising, so he's transitioning to the medical field. One issue he pointed out to me is that there are so many people who are Christian but leave the Church or the religion all together. The Church sees this and is struggling trying to reach out to young people, but there are a lot of people who have negative views of Christianity. The Churches can't go on without young people.
I encourage you & your man to find an on-fire church! the Spirit of God works better than concert-level production or any youth outreach program. 🙌😇 they’re out there!!
Community is part of the reason why I ended up getting baptized last year after being raised a Christian and being lukewarm. Community 100% helps. It’s actually hilarious that that interaction scared you out of moving to Austin when moving to Austin helped strengthen my faith. Been here for 2.3 years now. it’s actually crazy because Austin is also actually the first place I experienced the spirit of racism (like blatant racism, a woman driving down east 6th verbally attacked me calling me the n word with the hard R)😂 I promise we’re here. I gotta say don’t let that stuff scare you away because they’re more discreet in overtly Christian communities. Let the Spirit lead you!! He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and self control!
This is good to know! And honestly the best church I found was in Miami. I really enjoy going to Austin Stone when I’m visiting. It just proves that a good community goes along way, regardless of the stereotypes of the city.
I have been going to a weekly bible study with my mom for the past few months. A lot of the messages surely convict me. But I am delighted to discover how God will continue to work through me and course correct my path. Kelly I would like this 10x if I could. I grew up catholic. My mom, a fervent Christian prayer who never ceased to remind us to pray, go to church and stay close to God. As I grew up I started getting bored with praying, skipped church and living worldly. I didn't realize how far that habit was keeping me away from God. Until last year, I started going back to church, pray everyday, starting to slowly but surely follow him. I will admit that it's not easy task because of temptation. But when I feel like I can't pray that means is the moment to kneel down and pray. Thank you for the good message. You are truly a gem content creator❤

I became a Christian again in 2022 when I gave Jesus a try after realizing that I was happiest as a kid when I was a Christian, and that nothing in this could help with my anxiety/depression anymore. After giving my life to Christ, I feel like my life and mind has transformed in the best way possible. Last year, I started noticing that a lot of people were becoming Christians, too! I thought it was just me lol, but I love it!
Their becoming newfound Christians to mislead and also make money off the gospel. But I’m not worried, those will be greatly punished. That’s a sin that is very bad. People think they can be sneaky and play God pretending to be a innocent prophet
A lot of people though just see it as a trend to be Christian and they don’t actually know what it means to be a Christian. Being a Christian means having a relationship with God and your called to spread the gospel. Instead of Christianity just being a trend that dies out overtime, let’s spread the gospel so people actually know what it means to be a Christian.

Girlll I really needed this message. Life has gotten pretty lonely after recommitting my life to Christ and some days are definitely harder than others. I also moved to Austin recently so that’s definitely another factor in the equation. I’ve learned it’s a quiet walk when you’re being led by Jesus (yet also finding peace in knowing that). I’m still searching for community here, but also learning how to build it in places that I’ve already been planted like my job or hobby spaces. I ended up in Dallas 3 years ago from LA - no real reason to move here, just a "feeling". Once I got here, it felt right and everything was at peace. My relationship flourished, and I ended up signing up for 1 single dance class in 2022 where I met someone who is now a close friend of mine. We felt drawn to each other for some reason, and she invited me to her church. I haven't had any local friends here until I met her (so 2 years), and now i adore the church we go to and have a growing friend group of Christian women that fills my heart with how good God is and how he brought me to Dallas for a reason. Before moving to Dallas, I'd been running from God for years without knowing it so my life has changed so much in the last 12 months. Love your new platform & what you're doing with it. I just recently found a relationship with God and I have never felt so supported and loved. I think since 2020 there has been an uptick in people coming to the Lord. I've specifically noticed a lot of influencers deciding to follow Jesus. It's beautiful to see. It was great to see you pray at the end. The world is changing rapidly and it's imperative that we watch and pray.

I finished the interview you had about coming of the "Christian closet" and I just want to say, you being who God created you to be is such a blessing to witness. Your personality is amazing and I love you as a sister in Christ! I don't know how to say this without sounding weird but you remind me of a very good friend I used to have pre-covid. She was just like you, she was unapologetically herself and she also looks a lot like you. I loved her a lot and still do but she fell away from the faith. She basically has done the exact same thing you have been doing but in a worldly way. She dropped all her Christian friends and her Christian lifestyle. She still has a bible verse in her bio but her actions are all for the world. I just wanna say again, thanks for being you. I forgot just how much I loved her funny wild self. Honestly, I’m also a God girl now, and I think society and people in general strayed too far away, and the lack of morals actually lead to a lot of bad in many people’s lives. Speaking for myself, having no upbringing in church, it’s been incredible discovering God, and how good it feels to be have faith. Very exciting movement. The one part I don’t love is that in certain “cool” churches in FL, there’s a lot of performative aspects like, of people trying to be the coolest/ best Christians, and that kinda disappoints me… but hey, if we’re all trying to be better versions of ourselves then excellent.

That's why I stopped going to churches in my area in Florida and I find that virtual churches are better for me because they care less about being cool and being in God's word.
I was deep in occult actually. And a spiritual war saved my life. I went to take a "nap" (I wasn't tired so IDK why) and when I closed my eyes I wasn't asleep, but I couldn't open my eyes. It was strange and I was sitting in the middle of light and darkness. I'm not kidding, this dark entity was like hey come on you hang out with us all the time. You don't have to be scared blah, blah, blah. Then there was a light entity (Jesus or an angel IDK) but he just spoke and the demon got scared. I was so torn because again occult was my life but I was terrified of what I saw from the demon and felt comfort from the "light side". I could even hear the voices of my family praying for me and for Jesus to save me. I woke up after I said "I choose you Jesus." Well this happened 5 or 6 years ago, but ever since then I've been slowly moving away from occult practices until last year it was like the dam broke and I was just done with it. I accepted Jesus into my heart and have been living to be closer to God ever since. And it's true about friends! I have a really good friend I met 2 years ago and we have become so close because she shared her own testimony with me. And now I have another friend I met at a pageant who is a God fearing woman and such a pleasure to call a friend. God can, will, and did!

The part about friends I can totally relate. I’m still having trouble finding my “people”. A lot of my friends in the past idolized crystals and new age stuff. I could never relate and felt like I had to hide my faith around them. It was exhausting. Fast forward to today, I’m still praying that God helps me to find friends that share the same faith and love for God as i do.

It’s kind of scary because I feel like this Christianity wave is hitting all of us all at the same time and I’m happy to see it. I finally stopped fighting God and trust him again in 2023 and now I feel even more closer to him and I’m glad I opened my heart to receive his love, discernment and clarity. I was raised catholic but I’m open to something new starting with reading the Bible lol. Hopefully, 2024 will be the year more people will open their eyes, see the truth and choose kindness more. I have been both Catholic and Protestant. Both have given me benefits. I have learned that God is BEYOND earthly forms of religion; and I have outgrown the earthly institutional forms. Jesus and I are friends. He is with me at all times.
The one thing I got from reading the ENTIRE four volumes of Butler's "Lives of Saints" during my early Catholic days: SAINTHOOD IS ABOUT CONNECTING WITH GOD FROM YOUR HEART, NOT YOUR HEAD. The saints all demonstrated that.
They focused on their DIRECT connection, and still remained catholic by membership. They did not concern themselves with the earthly buildings. They were "Friends of God" by their connections of their hearts.
The HEART is where God lives, and people who remain Catholic or Protestant can find sainthood regardless of their affiliation.

As Christy said above, evangelists are naturally going to be more vocal. There are all also teachings on endeavoring to lead a quiet life, letting your conduct be the testament of your faith rather than your words, and letting the wicked continue in their wickedness and the righteous in their righteous works, etc. It is a matter of using wisdom to know when to speak up (letting Holy Spirit give us the words to say in such moments) versus remaining silent and retaining our peace. But whether compelled to say something or not, our actions should always glorify the Father. If the fruit of my life in Christ isn't evidence enough of his worthiness, then my words are ash.
Wow! The synchronicities are real! I started going to church again on New Years Eve and have gone every Sunday since. I decided that this is going to be my year! However, my big "test" was when I crashed my car the other day and have to get some very costly repairs at an auto body shop. For a couple of days, I really beat myself up for it, but then I decided that I wasn't going to let this incident keep my down. I'm blessed to have just enough to cover my repairs and I'm blessed to have the support of my family and my new and old church friends.

Last semester I transferred to a new school, so I don’t have very many good friends, and I haven’t truly connected with any of my classmates. This semester I have 3 new classes. One of those is public speaking. On the second day of class we had to give 60 second speeches about ourselves. I found out about half of my classmates were Christian! Which was already amazing in itself, but then something crazy happened. The morning before the third day of class I prayed that I’d be able to build friendships and a community with the Christians in my public speaking class. Then as I was getting ready to go to school I watched RuslanKD’s video reacting to this one. When you started to talk about community I was like WOAH. I was so surprised because I had just been praying about exactly what you were talking about at 5:49. Thank you for this video Kelly. I can tell God is working through you. 🫶

The enemy wants us to think that being “spiritual” = divination and religion = God. In reality, neither religion nor divination are of God, or at least what religion has become is certainly not godly. Every time I describe myself as a spiritual person, people automatically assume that means witchcraft- it does not. When I say I am a Christian, people think I’m a religious spirit- the religious spirit is not of God. We are spirits inside a body living in the world, but we are not of the world and we are not our bodies.
God is a spirit, and so our relationship with him through His son Jesus Christ is a personal, spiritual relationship. It requires us to walk by faith and not by sight because everything in the world contradicts what God tells us and teaches us, so we have to leave the world behind and seek Him.

You are so spot on about being tempted and side tracked. After I humbled myself and asked God to show me the right man for me, turned out I had already met him. I didn't realize it until I stopped giving any attention to options that were distractions and drama. I just had to practice keeping promises to myself and to be patient.

I honestly love this for you! I gave my life to Jesus in November 2022 and kinda checked out from social media. The way my life has changed since then is mind-blowing. I am so much more aware of the spiritual traps set out by society and even social media. We really do live in an upside down world. I've had to distance myself from a lot of my worldly associates and went through a very lonely season. God, however, saw me through it. I learnt a lot within that season. All the things that I thought mattered all of a sudden seem so trivial to me. I know that God is currently preparing me to be a wife and wants me to enjoy my walk with Him. I trust that His plans are pure and better than anything I could have even imagined. And I pray the same for you. I pray that God will enable you to keep using this platform to share the gospel and that the Holy Spirit continues to speak through you, so not only will people hear, but they will also understand. my sister married a christian man, and we became close with his family. I began to see so much love, generosity, and community between them and their friends, church, etc. My husband and I (fiance at the time) had our own upbringings (me catholic, him jehovah witness) but had strayed away and never really connected with either, yet the desire to have a relationship with God never left. One day we decided to go to their church, and 3 years later, we haven't stopped going. We encountered a love like none other. I've experienced miracles, healing, and things I can't explain other than the God we serve is a GOOD God. Our lives are changed forever. :'-)

THIS. When my then boyfriend (now husband) brought me to his church, which he had not attended since his teens year, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. The amount of love in a single setting was unimaginable. God intended us to lean on one another and to have community, something our modern day culture lacks severely in.
His walk with Christ got derailed after his father’s death. But one day he felt super convicted out of the blue and told me “We need to go to church.” And the rest is history❤

Yup, I was atheist at 18-20, got too many distractions from the enemy, then dated a girl that practiced occult (without my knowledge, she hid it), and I got fat, depressed, and broke. Went back to Catholicism by 23, now I got a great physique, a job in I.T., savings, close to finishing my bachelors in C.S., peace of mind, and discipline.
Never going to abandon the faith again and will be cautious of strangers that aren't apart of/aligned to the Christian faith.

Both periods were in childhood when I had not choice in the matter and lived with my mother first (who put me in Catholic school) and then with my grandparents (who were Baptist).
I went BACK to Catholicism at 18 and remained so until my early 30's. There is much POWER in going BEYOND the EXTERNAL trappings of ALL religions and going to the HEART of the matter: LOVE.
LOVE is what connects us to God, because God IS Love. We are made in the image and likeness of God/Love. When you make love operative in your life, it really does not matter whether you belong to ANY church -- Catholic OR Protestant.
The Institutiional BOXES, called "Churches" are NOT where God lives. God lives in the Heart.
One of the things that I did for myself as a Catholic was read the ENTIRE FOUR Volumes of Butler's "Lives of Saints." I studied ALL of the saints that were in the catholic calendar. There was ONE THING that they had in common: they ALL FOUND OUT THAT DIRECT CONNECTION WITH GOD THROUGH THEIR HEARTS WAS THE WAY BACK TO GOD. That is what made them Saints.
Although the Catholic Church officially canonized them and declared them "Catholic Saints," the TRUTH is that they were just SAINTS, or "Friends of God" through their devotion and DIRECT experience of the Connection from the HEART.
They never became "ex-Catholics." They never declared themselves such. Because they were born into Catholic realms and families, they accepted such, but they did not become stuck with labels. They just focused on their DIRECT CONNECTION with God and Jesus and let the institutional church be in the background of their attention.
So, that's what I do. (even though I am not a saint). The institutional church will fall away NATURALLY as a result of your focus on what really matters: connecting with Jesus with your HEART and letting your heart rule your life.
There's no need to be "careful" for the Catholic Church or to warn others. People have the right to explore and experience things for themselves.
I never tell people to stay away from the Catholic Church, because the period during which I was Catholic was a necessary experience which helped me MIGHTILY when I needed something spiritual to cling to. It was a source of much upliftment and comfort to me.
I EVOLVED and GREW BEYOND the need for it NATURALLY. So, I harbor no ill will. There is beauty in ALL religions -- as WELL AS that which stunts people's growth. But people are at different levels of understanding.
The Saints became Saints IN SPITE OF the Catholic Church. It did not stop them from connecting with Jesus or rising ABOVE the Church. It worked until it no longer worked for them, and they went on to GLORY in Heaven regardless.

And somehow it never occurred to me that the source of this block could come from the enemy! But I feel you are right and I need to ask God to help me find the right path to pursue in my artistic endeavors ❤
I totally feel this. For years I was in a circle of flaky friends who only called me when they wanted something. Eventually, I said I had enough and distanced myself from that entire group. One thing I didn't anticipate was not being able to fully participate in my favorite hobbies without that group. I tried other avenues and found a lot of unsavory people. I realized those just weren't for me. One day, I was walking on the beach (I'm in Florida) and passed an old lady who asked me if I knew Jesus. I said yes. I didn't go to church, but I was raised Christian and keep and respect many of those values. The old lady said she could tell, I assumed because I was fully clothed at the beach. A week or two later, I meet my boyfriend, a priest (Episcopalian). We met on Reddit of all places. The man is everything I was looking for in a partner: tall, handsome, kind, intelligent, patient, family oriented, loves anime/Asia culture. We have so much in common, and we are looking into building a life together. He tells me that the state of the church as a whole, isn't very promising, so he's transitioning to the medical field. One issue he pointed out to me is that there are so many people who are Christian but leave the Church or the religion all together. The Church sees this and is struggling trying to reach out to young people, but there are a lot of people who have negative views of Christianity. The Churches can't go on without young people.
I encourage you & your man to find an on-fire church! the Spirit of God works better than concert-level production or any youth outreach program. 🙌😇 they’re out there!!

Community is part of the reason why I ended up getting baptized last year after being raised a Christian and being lukewarm. Community 100% helps. It’s actually hilarious that that interaction scared you out of moving to Austin when moving to Austin helped strengthen my faith. Been here for 2.3 years now. it’s actually crazy because Austin is also actually the first place I experienced the spirit of racism (like blatant racism, a woman driving down east 6th verbally attacked me calling me the n word with the hard R)😂 I promise we’re here. I gotta say don’t let that stuff scare you away because they’re more discreet in overtly Christian communities. Let the Spirit lead you!! He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and self control!

This is good to know! And honestly the best church I found was in Miami. I really enjoy going to Austin Stone when I’m visiting. It just proves that a good community goes along way, regardless of the stereotypes of the city.
I have been going to a weekly bible study with my mom for the past few months. A lot of the messages surely convict me. But I am delighted to discover how God will continue to work through me and course correct my path.

Kelly I would like this 10x if I could. I grew up catholic. My mom, a fervent Christian prayer who never ceased to remind us to pray, go to church and stay close to God. As I grew up I started getting bored with praying, skipped church and living worldly. I didn't realize how far that habit was keeping me away from God. Until last year, I started going back to church, pray everyday, starting to slowly but surely follow him. I will admit that it's not easy task because of temptation. But when I feel like I can't pray that means is the moment to kneel down and pray. Thank you for the good message. You are truly a gem content creator❤

I became a Christian again in 2022 when I gave Jesus a try after realizing that I was happiest as a kid when I was a Christian, and that nothing in this could help with my anxiety/depression anymore. After giving my life to Christ, I feel like my life and mind has transformed in the best way possible. Last year, I started noticing that a lot of people were becoming Christians, too! I thought it was just me lol, but I love it!
Their becoming newfound Christians to mislead and also make money off the gospel. But I’m not worried, those will be greatly punished. That’s a sin that is very bad. People think they can be sneaky and play God pretending to be a innocent prophet
It's very sad. It upsets me. There are so many lost souls who want to believe in something and they are being lied to.
A lot of people though just see it as a trend to be Christian and they don’t actually know what it means to be a Christian. Being a Christian means having a relationship with God and your called to spread the gospel. Instead of Christianity just being a trend that dies out overtime, let’s spread the gospel so people actually know what it means to be a Christian.
There's also a cost to count that comes with being a Christian. But Jesus gave His life so it's now our time to pick up our cross.

Girlll I really needed this message. Life has gotten pretty lonely after recommitting my life to Christ and some days are definitely harder than others. I also moved to Austin recently so that’s definitely another factor in the equation. I’ve learned it’s a quiet walk when you’re being led by Jesus (yet also finding peace in knowing that). I’m still searching for community here, but also learning how to build it in places that I’ve already been planted like my job or hobby spaces. I ended up in Dallas 3 years ago from LA - no real reason to move here, just a "feeling". Once I got here, it felt right and everything was at peace. My relationship flourished, and I ended up signing up for 1 single dance class in 2022 where I met someone who is now a close friend of mine. We felt drawn to each other for some reason, and she invited me to her church. I haven't had any local friends here until I met her (so 2 years), and now i adore the church we go to and have a growing friend group of Christian women that fills my heart with how good God is and how he brought me to Dallas for a reason. Before moving to Dallas, I'd been running from God for years without knowing it so my life has changed so much in the last 12 months. Love your new platform & what you're doing with it. I usually don't comment but I really have to say that part where you were talking about even being open to receiving God's love really hit me. I just recently found a relationship with God and I have never felt so supported and loved. I'm not sure about the Bible part of it all, but I am open to learn more and not put past experiences in the way of me learning from the Bible ❤️
What a great topic. I have encountered many counterfits sent to you so you settle and many repeat lessons (some are almost idential since I am apparently a pretty literal person 😂). Once you represent the light, you have a target painted on your back for sure.
I think since 2020 there has been an uptick in people coming to the Lord. I've specifically noticed a lot of influencers deciding to follow Jesus. It's beautiful to see. It was great to see you pray at the end. The world is changing rapidly and it's imperative that we watch and pray.

Thank you for sharing about being comfortable waiting for Gods plan in finding your husband despite satans distractions. I recently had come to the realization that I need to wait and God has his reason to keep me single so long. Most likely to protect me from unnecessary heartbreak that I cant take. Even though its hard its nice to know there are others who share the desperation of being single but also allowing the Lord to strengthen us to wait for Gods plan. ❤
Hi Kelly, I have been going down a rabbit hole the past hour watching random videos of yours. I finished the interview you had about coming of the "Christian closet" and I just want to say, you being who God created you to be is such a blessing to witness. Your personality is amazing and I love you as a sister in Christ! I don't know how to say this without sounding weird but you remind me of a very good friend I used to have pre-covid. She was just like you, she was unapologetically herself and she also looks a lot like you. I loved her a lot and still do but she fell away from the faith. She basically has done the exact same thing you have been doing but in a worldly way. She dropped all her Christian friends and her Christian lifestyle. She still has a bible verse in her bio but her actions are all for the world. I just wanna say again, thanks for being you. I forgot just how much I loved her funny wild self. You remind me of her but you are so unique and created wonderfully and fearfully. God bless you and his peace be with you. I hope maybe you two can meet and she can see the wonders of Jesus again. (Also I rarely comment ever so this is how serious I am about this!!!)
