I'd love to test one out and I own dozens of large choppers in all price points so it'd be cool to see where it fits into the lineup for capability and comfort also price them where you feel is right ive bought choppers for less than $100 that're far more capable than my $300+ Bark Rivers and in my own personal testing I've learned that a thinner blade just bites a whole lot deeper into material and is much less fatiguing to use long term like the Esee Darien machete or the Svord Machete both amazing choppers that're plenty strong enough to baton and push into any other role a blade should be used for and both having convexed bevels makes them excellent featherstickers! One is 1075 and other is 15n20 both good tuff steels on the same level as 52100 roughly but they're able to get them under $100 because they're stamped out of sheets in an alarming rate and machine made with hand finishing you are putting a lot more manual labor into yours so yes you should be charging more but if you price them at $300 I'm out and won't bother...
I really disagree with the mindset of "if you can justify charging 3x as much you should" all that is doing is creeping the price point up and up over time if you can get these into the hands of reviewers or loyal customers you wont have the issue of people thinking "oh its cheap so it much be bad". just look at moras for example the price creep is just meaning that fewer and fewer people can justify paying for it, and you severely limit your customer base to *only* the high rollers, just remember that if you can make a product that is every bit as good as the competitors at a lower price point, you will make sales. especially if you can get some good publicity from knife reviewers
@10 mike mike for this knife I would say that anything below $300 is fair I do agree that $135 is probably too low, but that doesn't mean that jacking the price as high as possible is a good idea

They are absolutely right about your pricing. Even if you sell half as many units, it would be better all around for you. Asking the comment section about business sense is like asking walmart customers if they want to pay more for their hot pockets.
The catch with it being at that cheaper price point is if some top level channels test it out and say it is as good or better than some name brand $300-$400+ knives than EVERYONE is going to want one and be able to afford one. Not everyone can afford a $300 knife, you open a totally new and larger market with that price point. Im excited to see the new changes!
The downside to that is that when everyone wants one you end up working yourself to death to produce something that by rights you should be charging a lot more for. So you end up working all the hours God sends but not really making any money from it.
I’m sure nobody is going to agree with this but I’m typing it anyway. It’s your knife. Your reviews of knives and thought processes on field use make sense. Your design choices are something I can trust and would rely on in a life emergency. Chamfering for comfort is honest and helpful, but the only guy sitting in the room saying he wouldn’t carry that backpacking isn’t. I would and will pay your price (whatever it is) for that knife and likely others you’ve got a solid knife. Great work

Something I was told growing up, ( if it's worth doing once then it's worth doing right, ) but i learned also you can do it right to the highest standards and do it right to a lower standard, regardless if you do it right people will want your work an to cater to the little man an the big guy you can do it right for a high standard an higher value but also offer a work with lower standards but still quality for a better value to the little man, if you cater to both markets they you will make money an get your name out there for make high quality knives that are worth 450 but also to the little guy who needs a 150 work blade to trust, but you got to change how you see your value an understand not to sell yourself short. Mr Thomas nailed the cellphone price point theory. I hadn't thought about it like that, but he's dead center bullseye... When Apple brought out the iPhone (I'm personally not a fan of their OS so I don't use their products), function & form became style.
i like the blade you made if i was able to make my own blade like that it would be alike a golok style blade with smaller blade but full tang with a convex edge thick spine g 10 liners and micarta handle scales and 1095 steel would be good for a ultimate blade type like the ray mears blades or the martin dale blades man i would love to try out your knife camping in a video great video subbed
Like the knife amd its good to see 52100 getting some love. 135$ is probably too cheap. But someone telling you what to set the price at is bull. What are you paying yourself and what is your profit margin? Also depends on what you want to do too. Do you want people to have more people to have access to it? 300 to 400 you have esee, bradford, survive, and a whole bunch under cutting you. William Collins makes fantastic knives in the 250-400 range. They truly warrant that price. Amazing. I hope to get one of your knives and if you get to the point where your knives warrant 400$ my hat is off to.

I use my phone for work & personally but I was a long term android user & iPhone screens break really easy but it’s painfully to just look for anything else that pays 45 dollars an hour. My rent is 2 grand a month for a loft. Long story short just be straightforward no bull sh1t. Sadly if I want to keep my career going am going to spend that 2 grand just for a phone. Once you work for a company more then 15 years it’s all you know. This world is slowly going to hell & a hand basket. Am be getting into prepping after 2021 ie Covid outbreak. I got a few camping supplies & looking into a motor home to convert into a bug out vehicle. So any tips would be great.

Would be hard to justify the price..but i could see it selling well for about 230-270$ imo. Hopefully whatever you decide works for you
