The interviewer was ready to just accept any answer Phil gave in response to the multiplatform strategy. The lack of pushback just makes it feel like an internal interview which I guess it is. We need an actual journalistic outlet that has no dependency on Xbox to ask these questions. Phil has yet to address any of the possible downsides of the multiplatform push and reassure fans in that aspect. People won't be calm until that happens and it is explained in a way that makes sense.
Destin Legarie is one of the few interviewers who will ask Phil tough questions. Ryan Mccaffrey did a terrible job at the showcase interview and pretty much every other interview is safe

I 100% understand how you feel I grew up playing both and I’ve always favored Xbox until the ps4/Xbox one gen but it’s time you switch to PlayStation and play amazing games like the last of us, god of war, uncharted those games will never come to Xbox wasting your money on Xbox.

In terms of Xbox games, it's still the best place to play. Gamepass is awesome. It's definitely bittersweet. In the end, Microsoft has spent nearly 80 billion over the past few years. In the end, it's a business. Microsoft will either soar or drown.
@@robertkirkpatrick3092 With gamepass price increase its not much better, most of what is released on gamepass is drivel or old, there are some gems and occasionally a great first party game like Forza Horizon or Phyconauts 2 but they are few and very far between, and then we have Hellblade a walking sim and redfall, and so many other missteps that it seems they don't even know what core gamers want. In the past I found enough games to justify the 180 a year, but now its 240 and who knows if it stops there. I can take that 240 bucks and wait for some sales and just buy the older games when they go on sale. Like many said gamepass is on PC so please tell me again why I need an xbox at all? I actually expect in the not too distant future a comment from MS that a limited version of Gamepass will be on Playstation (Just MS games like EA plus)

I am older and have very little time to game I want to turn my device on and be playing in a minute, not have to worry about each game I download fiddling with setting to get it to work on my particular setup, I am sure its easier than it was but i still hear plenty of stories of people having to figure out what is causing them to have no audio in game A or really bad performance in game B.

At this point, the next Xbox is has to be allowed to play all PC games Thursday. But anyway, you're gonna be able to play those games unless pulled which I don't think they'll do. Then you're gonna be able to play all PC games. Even if you have to use a mouse and keyboard or barely be able to play them with a controller plus you'll get mouse support. And? The deals will probably be about equal. You might have to pay like a dollar more on the console. So Microsoft does get a little kick back and it should be in theory cheaper. Because everyone said the Siri's X is basically as powerful as a $800 PC. And it's charged $200 cheaper, but it's just a closed off system. You should be able to at least run minimum graphics. 6 months ago, I lost trust in xbox because of all the untruths, false promises and lack of games, so I sold everything, 2 controllers, a memory card, a charging station with two batteries and about 30 games. Now I see that the lies and deception are getting bigger and bigger.😒😒😤

Xbox the console will probably die off but microsoft gaming will become the biggest publisher in the industry. Only reason I'm still playing on xbox at this point is because my gamepass is free for the next few years. Probably the last console generation I will have since pc is the way to go.

Why buy an Xbox people ask? PlayStation doesn't have Game pass and I don't know you but games are crazy expensive and I don't like to throw away money, where living hard times. @@ygu9425 There's a fairly decent chance that Disney (who owns Indiana Jones) pressured Xbox to release the game on PS5 in 2025. Also, Microsoft is a publicly traded company that answers to their shareholders. They spent $68.7 BILLION to acquire ABK. The have to recoup that expense ASAP. Releasing their games on PS5 will help with that.

As far as I’m concerned, this is the time when the Xbox brand needs our support the most. The hardware side of the business is still struggling in Europe, so they’ve had to make some bold decisions to ensure long-term profitability. At the end of the day, the business has to generate profits, and after all the insane investments they’ve made, they need to see those reflected in their P&L statements. I’m fully behind them and I’m not about to abandon a brand that’s given me so much entertainment. Don’t get me wrong, I’m also frustrated with the inconsistency in Phil’s statements, but I do believe he wants the best for Xbox, and that his decisions are driven by good intentions.

If you chose to invest in an Xbox instead of a PS5 when you had the chance, what has Microsoft really given you that’s new and exclusive to the Xbox brand? What’s the actual benefit for Xbox gamers? Why does it feel like a one-way street with these releases? Any word on Final Fantasy VII coming to Xbox? How about the upcoming Wolverine game next year? No? Exactly. Sure, you get a lot of filler games along with your Call of Duty and Forza, but as a console in the gaming space, Xbox honestly falls short. There’s no real incentive to stay loyal to the Xbox ecosystem.

As long as you have a seamless and smooth experience with the console and get a strong supply of games (and even at an outrageous low price with GamePass) everything should and in all honesty IS fine. People forget that its about having FUN when turning on their Xbox, they turn on their console and want to see things others don't have, fully focusing on the negativ aspect of gaming instead of just enjoying your time playing good games. I do not care if others also get to enjoy games I enjoy, even better when others fund studios that will produce even higher quality or more niche games with that extra money.

@@robertkirkpatrick3092 With gamepass price increase its not much better, most of what is released on gamepass is drivel or old, there are some gems and occasionally a great first party game like Forza Horizon or Phyconauts 2 but they are few and very far between, and then we have Hellblade a walking sim and redfall, and so many other missteps that it seems they don't even know what core gamers want. In the past I found enough games to justify the 180 a year, but now its 240 and who knows if it stops there. I can take that 240 bucks and wait for some sales and just buy the older games when they go on sale. Like many said gamepass is on PC so please tell me again why I need an xbox at all? I actually expect in the not too distant future a comment from MS that a limited version of Gamepass will be on Playstation (Just MS games like EA plus)

I am older and have very little time to game I want to turn my device on and be playing in a minute, not have to worry about each game I download fiddling with setting to get it to work on my particular setup, I am sure its easier than it was but i still hear plenty of stories of people having to figure out what is causing them to have no audio in game A or really bad performance in game B.

Which one Like the stellar blade, developers are probably not gonna make one for the Xbox. When they finally have their exclusive contract in no point to, there's probably only be 10 million copies of the Xbox sold next one. If they don't have steam integration if they do. It's a game changer, cause this is how it is. You get Sony games unless Sony pulls their games from steam and as their own launcher, which is another legion. Why they're never gonna have PC games. On the PlayStation, 6 is because if they pull their games. Off steam, there's this no way they're gonna steam is gonna allow their launcher than go on PlayStation. But anyway, you're gonna be able to play those games unless pulled which I don't think they'll do. Then you're gonna be able to play all PC games. Even if you have to use a mouse and keyboard or barely be able to play them with a controller plus you'll get mouse support. And?
The deals will probably be about equal. You might have to pay like a dollar more on the console. So Microsoft does get a little kick back and it should be in theory cheaper. Because everyone said the Siri's X is basically as powerful as a $800 PC. And it's charged $200 cheaper, but it's just a closed off system. You should be able to at least run minimum graphics. I assume that it will warn you about messing with a graphics saying that only do the recommended ones and they might even warn you that you're counseled.Might get ruined if you do this if they do that and they have steam.I could see a lot of people buying it.Because you have the most games you'll have more games than actually sony has

@@ygu9425 There's a fairly decent chance that Disney (who owns Indiana Jones) pressured Xbox to release the game on PS5 in 2025.
Also, Microsoft is a publicly traded company that answers to their shareholders. They spent $68.7 BILLION to acquire ABK. The have to recoup that expense ASAP. Releasing their games on PS5 will help with that.

It's gonna take guys away from other projects that you could speed app the time to release the game which they always want to get the game out sooner. As far as I’m concerned, this is the time when the Xbox brand needs our support the most. The hardware side of the business is still struggling in Europe, so they’ve had to make some bold decisions to ensure long-term profitability. At the end of the day, the business has to generate profits, and after all the insane investments they’ve made, they need to see those reflected in their P&L statements. I’m fully behind them and I’m not about to abandon a brand that’s given me so much entertainment. Don’t get me wrong, I’m also frustrated with the inconsistency in Phil’s statements, but I do believe he wants the best for Xbox, and that his decisions are driven by good intentions.

If you chose to invest in an Xbox instead of a PS5 when you had the chance, what has Microsoft really given you that’s new and exclusive to the Xbox brand? What’s the actual benefit for Xbox gamers? Why does it feel like a one-way street with these releases? Any word on Final Fantasy VII coming to Xbox? How about the upcoming Wolverine game next year? No? Exactly. Sure, you get a lot of filler games along with your Call of Duty and Forza, but as a console in the gaming space, Xbox honestly falls short. There’s no real incentive to stay loyal to the Xbox ecosystem.

As long as you have a seamless and smooth experience with the console and get a strong supply of games (and even at an outrageous low price with GamePass) everything should and in all honesty IS fine. If not for Xbox and GP I would have had way less fun with gaming in the last 7 years. People forget that its about having FUN when turning on their Xbox, they turn on their console and want to see things others don't have, fully focusing on the negativ aspect of gaming instead of just enjoying your time playing good games.
I do not care if others also get to enjoy games I enjoy, even better when others fund studios that will produce even higher quality or more niche games with that extra money.

The hate on Xbox and video games continues and will never stops once again people and comments show ungrateful world when people are done hating on Star Wars Outlaws people move on on next game tv show judge and hate because it's Xbox series the hate will always come and it never stop but not surprised this how world is now judgment and hate will always come first no matter even if the does well with Assassin's creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws getting the joke treatment what next game on hit list people we are blessed to choose and play what ever game we can but others places they don't get that choice and have only 1 hour to injoy there gaming time it's sad the hate and disrespect video games are getting today but that's world we live in ungrateful generation

@@thaneros It was deliberately misleading, look I have both consoles because I like to play exclusives on both, but Xbox is time and time again removing the need to own the console, and they seem happy to do so! As a business model it makes no sense
