    Honestly you saved me with a little confusion I had running the hydraulic lines/ return line- thank you for showing exactly where everything went as my hd-9 is literally the same! The instructions don’t really specify the exact routes a visual was so much better! Thank you

    I will be installing this same lift in a few weeks. I had planned to make a video too, ... but it's starting to look like I might just be focusing on just installing the lift and video something else lol :) ... we'll see. Great video again tho thanks for putting in the effort, awesome job!

      Congrats on the lift purchase!! You’re going to love it! Trying to video and install simultaneously tends to be rather time consuming, at least for me. Explaining and installing/assembling is easily a 5x multiplier on time to completion. 🤣🤣 It is fun though.

      @@2JZAddict How true that is! both time consuming and fun. It's gonna be a one off for me so I'm going to take my time and try to do a good job capturing every thing on video, ... for others and myself later lol

    Ratchet straps work better as a sling when you have the ratcheting pawl locked

    This is awesome I didn't see you bolt it down do 4 pole lifts stand on their own without any need to be bolted down

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад

      Thanks! Glad you liked the video! I didn’t bolt it down because I wasn’t 100% sure where I wanted it positioned. If you plan on using it as a maintenance lift with the cross jacks then you’ll need to bolt it down. If you’re just using it for vehicle storage it’s recommended but not required.

    • @AndrewGorny
      @AndrewGorny 2 года назад

      @@2JZAddict I'm guessing the bolts are to just keep from lateral forces moving the poles around anyway. You could probably do basic stuff like oil changes without it bolted in

    Saving this video for my own install. Ordered an HD-9 yesterday, will be here next week! Thank you for posting this! By the way, how high is you garage ceiling?

    • @2JZAddict

      Congratulations on the lift purchase! My ceilings are only 9.5’. It ends up being just enough for both cars.

      Having 10’ ceilings would definitely have been better. Lol It really depends on the height of the cars you’re trying to stack. The Supra and the GT-R are both pretty short.

      @@2JZAddict Yes they are! And pretty sweet I'm sure! I am stacking my wife's Maxima(fairly tall) and a '21 C8 Corvette coming in April....

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  3 года назад +2

      Very nice! Congrats on the C8 purchase! I want one of those in a bad way. They’re awesome! You’re definitely right about it being a bit close. You should be alright though. Between the C8, Maxima, and platform thickness you’re at about 110” which means you’ll lock out around the 60” mark. That’ll give you 3” to the bottom of the ramp from the roof of the Maxima with room to park the C8 up top and lift it off the locks when you go to lower it. 🍻👍

    I'm finishing up my HD-9XW, just levelling and bolting it down to do.
    Did you adjust the cables at all so the runways are level with the weight on them? You mention adjusting the ladders but nothing mentioned about adjusting the cables.
    Also, the old manual said to lube the inside of the posts, the new ones don't, did you do that?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  3 года назад +1

      I checked the runway level without weight on it but they didn’t need adjustment. They were dead on already. I did lube the inside of the posts but only because it would squeak a little but down low.

  • @ixlosxi
    @ixlosxi 3 года назад

    How much slope did your garage have? I'm looking to grab one of these but wondering how much ladder adjustment you truly get.

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  3 года назад

      Mine was pretty level. I didn’t need any shims or anything. Fluid still runs toward the door and the ladders were able to be adjusted sufficiently. If there is a lot of slope in yours, you are able to shim the posts though I forget exactly how much.

    You didn't run studs into the ground?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  4 года назад

      Not yet. I’m thinking about moving it around a bit. Once I’m settled on a spot then I’ll probably bolt it to the floor. Technically I don’t need to since I’m nowhere near capacity but for my own sanity I’d certainly like to.

      Keep in mind for ALI certification this needs to be bolted down.
      I have the same one and could’ve used this video six months ago.
      I’ still want to find a final spot before I bolt in down also.
      Any issues getting cars on ramps ?
      I have a ZL1 and find even in stock height it’s too low.

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  4 года назад +1

      Sorry, just saw your comment. No issues thus far loading and unloading cars. My driveway is fairly steep so I do run boards before the ramps to help it align better and not scrape. If I bumped the lift closer to the wall I’m sure it would be just fine but then I’d lose work space. Lol

    • @stevezx900
      @stevezx900 4 года назад +2

      I have same issue with losing work space.
      But placing boards in front of the lamp fixed the issue.

    great video man! How wide is your garage and do you have enough room to park a car next to the lift? I'am planning to get HD9ST. My 2 car garage is 24' L x18' W with ceiling 10'6''. I have an SUV parked on the left side and do you think there will be an enough room for it if I get the lift on the right side?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад +2

      Possibly. You’d need to measure track width for where you plan on placing it to be sure. I can park a Touareg next to mine without issue. It is super tight but it’s doable. When measuring be sure to account for the side mirrors.

      @@2JZAddict thank you! Do you know how many inches is the space from inside the columns to the outside edge of the runways?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад

      Not off hand. You can look up the dimensions for each lift on the Bendpak site. That would have the most up to date information. I ended up marking things out with tape in order to approximate spacing.
