I still can't get over how he honestly believes that nothing can happen without his consent.
LOL...Yeah, that's a hoot.
Just listen to the very last thing he says in this clip....."I don't even understand the true nature of the charges...." That just shows you that he is way beyond just being stupid. His kind of stupidity verges on evil.
@@kimberlyfrost4730 He jumped off that edge a long time ago.
@@kimberlyfrost4730 ‘verges on’? I think this dude passed the point of ‘evil’ long ago.
It's SovCit argument as they don't recognize any authorities/laws except the Constitution from 1776 (not with any supplement).
At that time both civil and criminal issues was dealt within the same court (military issues was dealt within the military - and still are) - maritime law or commercial law is also dealt with the same - but as society grow - the desire to get a more specific court system to aliegn with the demands to knowledge from the courts.
I have practiced law for 49 years, much of it in court, and Judge Dorow is at the top of my list of good trial judges. Her self discipline is astonishing.
Also my hats off to the Sheriff behind Brooks. That guy is the coolest cat I've ever witnessed.

I know he was an adult and as such her parenting days are over. However, she is STILL DEFENDING HIM , ENABLING HIM AND EXCUSING HIS BEHAVIORS.
She has culpability in this. I think she needs to have some kind of repercussions. I don’t believe she herself really gave any thing close to an apology to the victims. Her excuse of mental illness is disgusting.
His grandmother is also disgusting. She too is defending him with the mental health business.
For at least 20 years he has been a criminal. Neither one of these women have held him accountable. In fact, they have assisted him in in continuing with his lawlessness and criminal activities. They are both disgusting.
Darrel Brooks has absolutely NO redeeming qualities. He is barely human.
The one thing in all of this that actually hurt and bothered Brooks. Was that he was convicted of the charges for Nov. 20. Erica wins❤️
It was for what he did on the 21st. He thinks because they didn't charge him for what he did on the 20th, it never happened. But, I do agree he was pissed off that he was found guilty of the assault of Erika.
It pissed him off to hear Judge Dorrow compliment Erica.
He literally thought he could make her held accountable for what happened BUT, HE’S the one at fault for his behavior. Erika DIDN’T deserve to be abused & thankfully she won’t have to see or hear him again.
@jordanwilliams9984 he went ballistic, he despises women.
And his kids lose. They have a mother that's absent and a murderer for a father. Erika hasn't won in any way. She's no better.
Wow, Darrell is attentive 👀 when people talk about HIM, instead of the victims.
Disgusting, isn't it!
Yeah, he listening, but watch awhile. He just waiting for his time as soon as he heard enough of being talked down about.
He needs pepper spray in his eyes 😂
Yep
That is just the size of the whole matter. Darrell Edward Brooks was giving himself away by refusing the defense attorneys and representing his own self.
He absolutely hates that he is completely helpless and that all these years committing crimes and he’s finally going to prison and never getting out!
With a PD I don't think he'll hate jail. I think it would be a place where he'd prefer in that he has no reason to interact with anyone (unlikely he will be in gen pop) and the rules are set. So in some ways in prison you have total control as there are no decisions to make and less uncertainty.
What sucks is that she is totally ripping on him but he doesn’t understand what she’s saying because he is so ignorant.
He totally understood even Judge Dorow was saying. He built up rage and anger he just couldn't act on it.

Surprised he let her talk for that long. 🙄
Well, she was talking about him so he permitted it.
He thought that she was going down the road of mental illness being his way out. That’s the ONLY reason he listened. When he realized it wasn’t going in his favor his anger took over again. It’s his inability to control his anger and his complete disregard of anyone else is his problem. Evil has unlimited roaming room with these type of people.
Judge Dorow executed justice on behalf of every single person in this massacre. May God bless her, the prosecution team, families, first responders, law enforcement, and jury.
The way she talks is so satisfying I love the way she speaks such a articulate beautiful women ❤
He did it 100% on purpose and he knows it.
He didn’t plan it, but as he did it, he knew what he was doing. Ploughing through those people was an expression of the anger he was feeling at the time. And he was probably thinking “my ex and the police made me do it. This is THEIR fault.” His basic failure of logic is that he believes there was no other course of action open to him. His ex made him angry, the police chased him, so he did the logical thing in his mind and kept his foot on the accelerator as he drove through the parade. Those people should have got out of the way, they would have been fine if they had. So it’s all everyone else’s fault. The victims, the police, his ex. There’s no cure for that inability to take responsibility. It is not safe to allow him to be free. He needs to be locked away from the rest of society until he dies. Thankfully, he will be.
Judge Dorow deserves an award for having to go through all of this and keeping her cool the whole time.

"Snap" means she lost control. She did not lose control at all. She was fed up, did not get emotional with him, she factually and firmly told him what she was going to do with his continually arguing and interrupting.
“Snap” polysemously also has a meaning of “to utter harsh/biting words” etc
Judge, you have done THE best job with this case. I hope you are able to take a WELL deserved break and take care of yourself 💜

Such an incredibly patient judge. Props to her for how she handled the entire case. She is very well versed, and she tolerated Darrell's any outbursts wayyyy better than I could have.
The Sheriff behind him is probably the happiest I’ve seen him knowing the Judge Dorow was going to hand down a stiff sentence.
Watching this judge has been a beautiful thing !
The nerve of his momma to attend court and defend him, trying not to blame him, knowing fully well she bailed him out of jail a few years ago for hitting his ex girlfriend with a car.
I couldn’t find that part. I can’t believe that either 🤦🏽♀️
She didn't appear in the court room. She was on zoom. But I agree.
He hit the girlfriend with his car just a few day before this. That's why mommy had to bail him out.

I’ve never seen someone continue to dig their grave. He really don’t want to see the light of day as a free man ever again.
She makes a really good point about the increase in claims of innocence by reasons of mental disease or defect. It's almost like when people commit heinous crimes with no excuse other than they were mad/loaded/irritated, attorneys jump to claim they're crazy because "no sane person would". Legally sane people commit crimes because they are a-holes and lack the desire to modulate themselves. That's criminal not a mental disease.
Exactly.
Does he honestly think the face he is making is supposed to be intimidating?
He is the size of a middle school kid.
Regardless of whatever mental illness one has, if they have it in them to commit something like this, they should not get a pass. This type of thing is evil. You can call it mental illness, you can say they couldn't help it... that is evil. This man showed no mercy no sympathy, no regard for the rights, feelings, or emotions of anyone else.
Fathers, raise your sons to be men. When you do not, they grow up broken. They grow up without regard for anyone else. They grow up without regard for rules. They grow up without the ability to accept blame when they've done wrong.
This waste of a person obviously has some semblance of intelligence. He understands courtroom proceedings. He made a choice to disregard them because he didn't like what was happening. He had no self discipline.
He acted like a child because he was not raised to act like a man.
The problem is he comes from a culture where mainly mothers only raise their kids. This culture has many males just like him. There is no father figure in the home. The mothers don't really want a father in the home because they won't get their government benefits. This has been going on for a long long time.
For a mental illness case he has to show that he was not responsible for his actions. An example is someone has visual hallucinations which they need to defend themself from.
@@SacredFire777 wow the sheer ignorance of this statement.
I really think that it’s the moms job to raise the boys to around puberty. Then it’s dads turn. There comes a time in every teen boys life when dad needs to take them down a notch or 2. When I was 13 or 14 I got up in my moms face. My dad pinned me against the wall and made it perfectly clear this was never going to happen again. In todays world what he did would probably be considered child abuse. I consider it turning a punk boy into a respectful man
@@leadpilled5567 it's both parents job to raise the child. It shouldn't be one then the other. But mothers, who are irreplaceable in their own ways, cannot raise a man to be a man. I'm not saying they shouldn't be present. But they cannot offer the type of guidance it takes to be a man. That isn't to say a lot of single mothers haven't done a great job with the hands they were dealt. But it takes a man to make a man.
Tip of the hat 🎩 to Honorable Judge Jennifer R. Dorow for her professionalism, her thorough diligence, her priceless patience, her noble heart, her fairness, but most of all for her big heart 💙! Judge Jen Dorow really cemented him to a six consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole + a whole bunch of more years..Darrell E Brooks Jr. will never see the light of day! He’s been put away for good! Plus he’s been ordered to pay restitution for all the mental and physical hurt that he caused! 🎉💙💙💙💙💙 💙!
I wonder if Dorow knew he would react to her regarding Erica as a strong witness. The whole trial tried to find a reason as to “why” - and Dar-rell gave a reason why. He hated Erica and he was so angry he couldn’t hit her again that he deliberately drove into a crowd of innocent people.
After seeing Dar-rell’s grandmother give a character witness it is clear where some of narcissism came from. Watching her speak gave me a very uneasy feeling. There was a fakeness and calculated presence about her. I didn’t buy the wise old lady act at all.
Then there was his minister grandmother... She couldn't stop talking about her ministry.
"I don't consent to being sentenced anyway." Best line of the whole trial.
Note how he uncharacteristically stayed quiet until his ex was invoked. So much anger! A misogynist of the highest order.

I guess he didn't realize that saying you have a mental health issue is different from actually being diagnosed, probably why he was trying to act crazy🤣. His biggest issue is that he just can not accept that he is no longer in control of anything.
I like the sound of that. HE IS NO LONGER IN CONTROL OF ANYTHING!
His conduct is a prime example why some defendants are not put on the stand to testify on their own behalf.
I wish he did testify, the prosecutors would've ran him over
Though honestly I have never been in any court proceedings in my life but Judge Dorow is just fascinating. Her abundance for patience and respect is just immeasurable.

It’s more for closure for the victim’s families that judgement was served for THEIR slain loved one.
Its not about him.. the victims want to her their pain gave them.justice. they would feels some way if they said 1 life sentence what about the other 5 lives
"The combination of multiple sentences would lead to an increase of years until a defendant is eligible for parole. One of the main purposes of back-to-back life sentences is also to limit the eligibility of defendants to parole, increasing the number of years they must serve."" This is a common punishment for a defendant convicted of multiple murder in the United States. Depending on the jurisdiction in which the case is tried, a defendant receiving a life sentence may become eligible for parole after serving a minimum length of time, on the order of 15-25 years. If a back-to-back penalty is imposed, the defendant must serve that minimum for every life sentence before parole can be granted. Such a penalty also ensures that even if some of the murder convictions are overturned on appeal, the defendant must still serve the sentences for the ones left standing."
The many life sentences means he may NEVER EVER have any Parole. Will live and die in jail
This utterly contemptible sociopath will definitely get his justice in prison. A child killer is not very popular even among other punks and thugs. His sentencing statements are so self serving and narcissistic, it is hard to imagine he gave any thought at all to his victims. The judge deserves respect and appreciation from her community and the legal establishment for her calm demeanor and extremely thorough explanations as well as her professional preservation of the record. His arguments that he should receive counseling and medication in a treatment facility was completely discredited by the judge's meticulous reading of the psychological assessments of his disorders. He is anti-social and has no empathy or regard for others. His selfishness was on full display in that 2 hour navel gazing which did nothing but cement the need for him to go away forever.
Wrong. People have this fantasy that prisoners have this “code of honour” whereby child killers are given a hard time or subject to “street justice”. You may wish this to be true, but it isn’t. He’ll do his time quietly, learn law, turn to Mecca. Prison is full of people convicted of far, far worse than this pos. he’ll fit in no bother. The only attention he’ll get is because he’s “famous”, not because he killed six people. This isn’t the 1940’s where prison is full of “regular Joes” outraged by heinous crimes. You’ll never hear of this Cat again.ever.
