Personally I think the Q70 is still a really great buy over the Q60 especially for somebody who wants to have the 120hz technology which will 100% be the norm in like 3-5 years at a sort of budget price. Sure, I game a lot but also when streaming especially sports and f1, the interlaced signal is way more smooth at least to my eye compared to my 60hz older tvs. I also prefer the backlight on the tv as well. Colors pop like a Samsung should and while I’m not a vibrant color person (I like Sony’s natural tone) I still can see the reason of somebody choosing a Samsung. Great video! Just found you out and have been binging all your tv related videos. Helps that I work in electronic sales and seeing all the little quirks helps a lot when selling to clients.
I don't think 120 Hz will be standard on budget tvs within the next 10 years. Some years ago, you could still get affordable models with 100/120 Hz panels in the Samsung lineup. Now all of that is gone and you are forced to buy the significantly more expensive model. Same with PVR/Timeshift. Many budget Samsung TVs used to have it. Now? Only starting from the Qled models, nothing below that. Choosing a TV has never been more difficult if you can't or don't want to spend big money. My J6250 from 2015 has everything! How is this possible 😢😢😢
Thank you Tech Steve. I purchased the Q60C and started to second guess myself thinking I should’ve bought the Q70C but after watching your review I’m sticking w the Q60C. Thank you so much!!
I've been watching more of your videos, and I appreciate that you are reviewing TVs in the way that most folks use them. Out of box w/out pro calibration. Maybe they will change picture modes, but that is about as far as they go.
Just bought the 65 inch q70c today for my daughter for playing her ps5 for only $899. The q60c was for $799 @ best buy. The gaming mode sold me the a70c. It's replacing a Panasonic 50 inch plasma bought 2007 that thing is still working😂
My Soundbar is in front of stand. Make TV look like it has no base, or the soundbar is the base. Soundbar also hides all wires in back, no need to tie and pipe them.
Took my 43inch q60c back. Local dimming zones are a must. It’s worse than my cheaper 65 inch Hisense U6g and that’s two years old now. Ended up getting the LGC2 42inch instead. There’s just no reason for this tv to barely be much better than my 2016 4k Samsung from 2016 (I forget the model unfortunately but it was a cheap one from Amazon at the for like 500 dollars). This is the same price as the 48 inch LG C1 also. So it’s truly just not worth it. OLED and 120hz.
@@k.r.99 With the cost of THIS tv tho, it should have way better specs. And you can turn off local dimming. Black levels matter. The only time you really don’t want deep blacks is typically in FPS games. And my OLED let’s me raise my blacks and has an amazing FPS mode I can tweak to perfection. There’s no excuse to not have even the shittiest of local dimming on this tv.

Hey @Steve, I found the Q70C is the first model in Samsungs lineup to move up from the Crystal Processor found in Q60C and below. Makes a huge difference with streaming Xbox and game apps.
the black level being better on the 60C is a real shock to me. I wonder if others are saying this as well or if this is just an example of the "panel lottery"
Not huge difference but I went with Q70C for few reasons The Base in the middle than side legs. You won't need too wide table incase you aren't mounting. Base stand in middle gives OLED look( expensive) HDMI 4 ports with 2.1
For the average grown up people who don't play games Q60C is better choice. Picture looks better and i am sure that there will be Q65 version of this tv with central stand on some markets.
