I've flown on a Sun Country Boeing 727-200 like this from Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota to DFW, Texas then had to go from DFW to Dallas Love Field Airport on ground to.catch a flight on Southwest Airlines to Lubbock then in reverse to go back home. I love that UPS Boeing 727 in this livery, so many beautiful Boeing 727's as all other aircraft.
FedEx still flew 727s out of Atlanta up until 2013 I think. They sounded just like the DC-9/MD-80s when they flew overhead, which isn't surprising considering it used the same engines.
Love these old birds. The first time I experienced the exhilaration of flight was aboard one of these, an Eastern Airlines flight from National to Miami.
That was a wonderful airplane, and probably responsible for training 80% of the pilots and engineers (myself included) in my age group, 50/60+, that are still flying today. I was still in DFW in 2001, and these are fond memories. Those Emery's 727 were operated by Ryan International. What a workhorse. I think there are more -100 than -200 left flying between VIP and freighters, but still just a few. Excellent video, thanks for posting.
Always love the 727
What you said!
if boeing would redesign this beast and put new avionics and engine i think that would be lovely!
I used to load and unload the UPS 727's at DFW they were fun to work with!!!
The 727 looks beautiful when the flaps are down especially, all that detail
I LOVE the BOEING 727...a workhouse, and an industry ICON. Love that THREE-HOLER!
I sure miss the 727

Wow pilots really have to watch the flares and T/O rotation angles to keep from dragging that tail.
this channel is the best i see on youtube
Classic bird. Nice.
last time I was on one was back in 85 Air France from Miami to Martinique nice plane. Even the food was good on that flight.
I'm to lazzy to search this. I just wonder how many of the planes are still in service in the U.S.
Old school classic
My old airline (Ansett) operated all types for over 30 years 100/200Adv/200 long range. Engine failures only happened in the simulator.
My dad could've been flying one of the AA 72's
