Very interesting content and nice "format". As a E90 M3 long time owner I've watched tons of M3 videos, this stands out mate. If you're not yet on M3post, you simply have to make a post about this project. Will stay tuned!
Madness. I just took delivery of an Alpine White E90 M3, no sunroof, manual, completely stock. Rod bearings, actuators and engine mounts all done as part of sale price as a preventative measure. It’s pristine. I paid £23k GBP. There’s only two others for sale at the moment both with high mileage, they’re dct, sunroofs and tatty as hell. I feel very fortunate.
Nice purchase! I bought a stock 2011 E90 M3 DCT for $24k. It had some blemishes (rock chips and curb rash wheels). Rod bearing and throttle body haven't been done.
Good stuff! Even after tackling all those line items DIY, thing will look, handle, and run so good for short money. It seems hard to find a decent E9X M3 for less than 25,000 USD.
Thanks Pete, thats the way i see it too because manual E9X are holding onto values really high and probably hit the bottom depreciation already. Thanks for following along!
Ha, I just bought a e90 M3, 81k miles for around $30k USD. And I spent around $12k US in just maintenance parts (including BE bearings, ARP rod bolts etc), so you are about right on how much it cost just to get the car back in like factory feel. Very happy with it so far though.
Passed on a 160k mile e90 m3 a couple months back. It was Le Mans blue on Bamboo. Salvage title with a rough exterior, interior was maintained well enough for the age, car was mechanically sound except for leaking valve covers. Bearings, TB, and engine mounts etc done. Seller was asking 16k Last time I checked it was listed at 12.5 and someone scooped it up. Decided to get a daily f30 328i and save up for a bit more of a nicer example. Also helps that the markets continuing to cool. Good luck on the build!
Thank you sir! For 12k that sounds like a solid deal, and yes prices are cooling down and might stay that way for next year too. Good luck with the hunt!
I guess I'm shortlisting this video to help PPI when I purchase an E92 in the next couple months. Really hope the one I get doesn't have half these issues because I won't have the time to do anything other than take it to a shop.
E34 is in final stages of reassembly, the paintwork took much longer than expected and small issues with painting trims etc have really slowed me down. Hoping final E34 reveal video to come out in May. Thanks for checking in!!
I am very close to get m3 but I am also concern what will happened with petrol cars in near future? I don't want to spend a lot of money and in a moment be forced by the system to own an electric car.
Used cars they cannot change the law, only to charge you to go into city centers like in London. I say buy it now before it becomes a museum piece and priceless!
@@DeadEndRestorations Not yet but soon a lot changes. People drive electric car but Driving an electric car is like driving a coffin with people who gave their lives to produce it.
Unfortunately yes, also oil & gas industry is very dangerous too. If you love the car i say buy it, you will always be able to sell it one day if you need to because its an M3 and will always be a classic
@@DeadEndRestorations I am pointing out the maintenance expenses. I have never been lucky in selling it fr more than I bought it even with sought after models. Currently trying to sell an SL.
Just finished changing out rod bearings, injectors, fluids/filters etc. Putting it back together now and the new video should be out soon (in next 2 weeks) . Let's just say considering the engine has 286k KM's the results are quite shocking... stay tuned :)
How are you gonna be mad that there are Dinan tips on the car and you can’t even pronounce it? Lmaooo can’t wait to see how this car is transformed though
Very brave of you to take on this challenge and hope that it pays off in the end; will definitely be watching the content you’re bringing!
Awesome thanks!!🤞🤞🤞🤞
I'm really looking forward to the next episode on both the E34 and E90!
Its coming very soon my friend!!
Love to see the e9x m3 getting some love glad this one is getting a second chance at life! Can't wait for the rest of the series
Thanks man, she needs a second chance!!

Lets just hope for your sake all it needs is PPI!! Good luck with the search
Think I will skip e90 and go for an F80.
No E90 or E34 activity lately. What happened?

that M tax tallys up real quick
Unfortunately its a real tax…
At least it’s not Porsche tax. That’s brutal
Love your content
Thanks dude glad you’re enjoying it!
Go for supersprint exhaust!

@@DeadEndRestorations From August, even the suburbs of London will be banned from cars
Ouch! Do you live there? So only hybrids and electric allowed?

jeez, that is one of the most neglected e9x M3s I've seen!
You bet! For a project of turning a car around it makes for a great candidate 🤞
@@DeadEndRestorations Very true.
Actually yes, E36 M3 for the US market. Why? It had the M engine rather than the S engine.
For that model yes, but even those are going up in value over $20k for decent examples

I like how a lot of cheap bmws are a few broken parts away from a full restoration just to be roadworthy😅
If theyre extra cheap then the parts list is two dozen long minimum 😂
I come for the car, but stay for the jokes. Tongue ring - classic!
You were always a sucker for jewellery 😂
No update?
Installing a surprise gift for the garage in preparation for the M3 rebuild… stay tuned 👀
That’s a ton of miles so you know a full refresh is in order but once it’s done you’ll have a new m3 under you and can’t go wrong with v8 mannn
If it survived this long it must be good right?? Lol thanks man!
Is the E34 all painted?
I wish my friend, my bodyshop guy has been extremely delayed with personal stuff going on. Hoping its done in next week or two… 🤞
is this the dead end of this channel?
No sir, E34 final reveal is coming very soon!!
