I admire your planning in getting the trusses and beams built then placed. Thank you again, Joe, and especially for taking the extra time to get the videography set for us to watch and enjoy.
Very impressive skill in setting those beams, Joe! That took real precision. Also, you were brilliant to connect two truss together for faster assembly and self-supporting! Great job setting the boiler, even if you did ding it up a bit. Looking forward to seeing the next video!
You're a very smart guy Joe. Doing two at a time, is not only faster, but it allows them to remain in an upright position for fastening with no one at the top side holding them. Very clever.
Thanks for this latest video. I really enjoy watching your projects and get a glimpse of all the planning that goes into each and every steps. I always get at least one or two little tip that will save me time and heartache in the future. We finally get to see your partner, Chef Celine as Dave would call your wife. Always nice to get good help. Cheers et Un gros merci
Very nice work setting those trusses .....very creative thinking this will be a wonderful wood shed and a GREAT home for your boiler !! Winter is slowly creeping up more every day. Great work Joe !!
Salut Joe et Celine!! This is a big job and it's good that you have the excavator. The breams were tricky to balance and get set but I liked where you used the 'guide' 2 X 4's on the tops of the posts. Then getting the trusses set was pretty delicate too get them right where you wanted them. And then the 'big loft' moving the boiler. I didn't realize it would be that heavy. You and Celine worked well together to get this work done!! Way to go. A la prochaine!!!
Thanks Mike! The boiler is indeed a big piece of equipment at 8ft high, 8 feet long, 4 feet wide. Sometimes, it takes more preparation time than the actual job. But if the job is done quickly, there is no problem in that. Thanks!
This is great to watch, thanks. Using the excavator with the forks works great for the trusses, I have never seen it done like that before but it seems so much better than using a loader. I will be interested to see how you do the weather protection for the chimney as it goes through the roof, when you get to that stage. This is a great project and good team work
Hello Joseph! That is indeed true, we see so very little use of forks on an excavator. Then nothing about lifting trusses in pairs. When I get to this point of the chimney, I'll make a video of it. Thanks!
Hey Joe, that excavator makes a great forklift. Great job getting those beams and roof trusses installed. It's like a giant Lego set lol. You will really like your outdoor boiler. I like mine very much . Great for inferior wood.
Only difference, we don't nail Lego blocks! It was a very easy process to set the trusses in place. Can't wait to heat using the boiler. I am still working on it! Thanks!
It was really stressful when you were moving these long trusses with the small width of the forks.... not even fastened to the beam. You managed this excavator in a non usual operation with skilful.👍👏
No... I've installed insulated glycol pipes in the ground to heat the whole house and the garage. It will also be used to heat the pool when needed. Thanks!
Thanks Leo! I've considered a microphone before, but that adds a lot of preparation time to make videos. So this is why I keep this simple for now, so I still have time to edit and publish videos... or at least, for now! Thanks!
I am looking at the blade on the excavator, thinking about how you could build a quick attach fork lift for it. I have several ideas. My wife of 25 years always tells me when I get her to help me and we're not on the same page, we'll it's me or by your self. Enough said.
That is interesting to think about the blade to lift something... Never thought about that! I sure enjoy working with my wife, only thing is that we don't seem to see the same thing on a worksite! Thanks Ed!

Thanks! It will be interesting to have wood protected from the weather. I don't want to fight the snow and ice to get access to the wood. Thanks!
Great job Joe. Nice to have the equipment and a wife who likes to help. Great team work.
Thanks! That is the kind of job that is better done in a team!
Awesome job setting them beams Joe! And the boiler as well. You are a one man construction crew! lol Have a good week my friend! See ya!
Thanks John! We were having an unusually warm fall, but the weather has now turned to "winter mode"... What a sudden change. Thanks!
That was very skillful maneuvering of the excavator Joe. That machine really goes good to put up a building.....Your doing very well. CHEERS
The excavator saved me a lot of work in that project too! Thanks!

Why not use the excavator LOL great progress on the shed! That wood boiler is HUGE! Cant wait to see it roaring!
That wood boiler is 4ft wide, 8ft high, 8ft long. I'll make a video when I work on its installation. Thanks Jay!
Thanks Joe, looks like the plan is coming together , weather is collaborating, we have had a great fall also, calling for snow this weekend.
If you are going to have snow this weekend, it's coming our way then! Thanks Mark!
You’re getting there 👍🏻, those custom forks are very useful 👍🏻, great job Joe 🙋🏼♂️🙂👍🏻
Thanks! I did not explain what I have done with the forks. They are extension made from C-channel. They extend my 42 inches forks to 60 inches.
It was really stressful when you were moving these long trusses with the small width of the forks.... not even fastened to the beam. You managed this excavator in a non usual operation with skilful.👍👏
Thanks! In fact, most of the weight is located near the center of the trusses. So it was not so bad. The worst part was with the 28 feet beams.
Looks like the excavator was a very smart purchase Joe. Hope the weather works in your favor. Later
So far the weather is great here. I am sure you had similar weather on your side. It's about to end though... Thanks!
It is always very nice to see my Yellow and Black Strips 👍😉👌🤣🍻
That is a great souvenir I have!
@@FromSteelToWood 👍👌😇🍻
Très belle job! Le chien sous la charge, ne semblait pas trop inquiété! 😂
Oui, en effet, mais rendu là, sur les beams, c'était rendu pas si pire quand même! Merci!
LOL! Nice job Joe! Is the wood boiler for only heating the pole barn itself?
No... I've installed insulated glycol pipes in the ground to heat the whole house and the garage. It will also be used to heat the pool when needed. Thanks!
Cảm ơn bạn chia sẻ video rất là đẹp. Chúc bạn ngày mới thật nhiều sức khỏe và luôn thành công trong cuộc sống 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cảm ơn!
