for those who don't know, the opponent in wrong warp is based on a glitch in smb1 where you could be small fire mario. him turning big in his poses is directly based on the same thing happening when throwing a fireball as small fire mario, which happens there because there is no sprite for small mario throwing a fireball also the opponent in first level is called weird mario, for obvious reasons

I adore how Bullet Time forgoes the 8-bit retro style for the more modern style that the Bullet Bill flash games use for most of the song , while still having the opening and ending keep that 8-bit style like the rest of the mod. Then you have Destruction Dance which I love how there's the switch up where Foreman Spike dies to the bomb next to him only to get replaced by freaking WALUIGI since its the DDR Mario Mix version.
Now THIS is quality! Every single bit of this mod is out right perfection. Each of the new songs are fantastic with some being bangers outright. The secrets are amazing touches also. Not to mention the Konami cheat code, mechanics, references to old games, flash games and the cutscenes! You have classic nostalgia and modern music molded into one of the greatest mods yet.
Can we just talk about how the bonus songs are some pretty deep cuts? Like, Destruction Dance is a reference to Wrecking Crew and that DDR Mario game, Portal Power is a reference to Mari0, a literal Mario x Portal fangame, Wrong Warp is a reference to the Minus World glitch, and Green Screen is a reference to the Gameboy Camera, which was a damn accessory for the Gameboy. Dude, the fact that this mod and the creators included as many references as humanly possible is just incredible to me, well done!
I really wanna know how they made the sprites for Green Screen! Not only did they nail the video quality that the gameboy camera had but also made both BF and the creepy face guy look 3D. This mod is incredible!

Mario has been going for almost 37 years, and didn't give up! I like Sonic too, but... 1. Sonic doesn't wanna date Amy because he's in love with Elise and Sally 2. Sonic has a massive attitude and... 3. All he literally does is just saves the world, chill with his friends, and he doesn't give a heck of anything else when his friends are around. I kinda like Mario better, because... 1. He actually has a wife, which is Peach 2. Mario is way more nicer and... 3. Mario cares about his brother. That's sweet. :)
This is honestly extremely impressive, the animations and songs are high quality... And the mod changes the game so much that it's almost its own new thing! Absolutely love this one.
This update made the mod even better than before! The soundtrack is great (I like how groovy it is), all of the characters' vocals are surprisingly good, the little cutscenes of BF and the Bros' adventures are really adorable, the secrets and references, etc. There is just so much very cool contents in this mod that I wouldn't mind another, if not one last, update to see what other things this mod could offer. Also, that whole console war song and how Foreman Spike was one of the opponents only for his spotlight to be taken away by Waluigi were just awesome!

If you touch them, then(in this mod’s case) you lose hp or just straight up die. 3- The destruction dance that appears at the 2nd secret song is a reference to Mario mix where waluigi(instead of foreman) 4-The instead of showing the note quotes(sick,good,bad and shit) you get scores. The highest being the 1UPs 5- most of the background sounds of the songs involve smb sounds like a stomp on an enemy or when you hit a block when ur smol 6-in the bullet bill song bf rides the same cloud as lakitu does. 7-the boo battle has a little bit of thorns, why? They both are souls trapped on a video game. 8- in the sonic vs mario song when tails and Luigi appear, tails starts with the same notes as in the Triple trouble version. 9- in the -1 song, we can see that it is an obvious reference to the Japanese version of level -1 the American version is just… field……. 10- for last, we got the long Mario song, where a car appears behind bf. Cross console clash brings back all the old Mario vs Sonic memories. There where so many animations with Mario vs Sonic! The best one was by Scoutthedog. He did a really good job. Just like the creator of this mod. Definetly one of my favourites!
The description says that the Boo mechanics of being able to move during the song is the first of its kind. Which is kinda true. I saw a video of a Tricky mod where you had to dodge Tricky's spikes while singing the song. The mod wasn't actually released, so I guess the Boo mechanics are technically the first to be done.

Cross console clash brings back all the old Mario vs Sonic memories. There where so many animations with Mario vs Sonic! The best one was by Scoutthedog. He did a really good job. Just like the creator of this mod. Definetly one of my favourites!

it's so cool how depending on if you're not doing too well it changes your sprites to lose the current powerup.

The description says that the Boo mechanics of being able to move during the song is the first of its kind. Which is kinda true.
I saw a video of a Tricky mod where you had to dodge Tricky's spikes while singing the song. The mod wasn't actually released, so I guess the Boo mechanics are technically the first to be done.
Definitely not the first to be done, I'm sure there are others, but first that comes to mind is the Beautiful Day by Sr. Perez

Just so you know, that's not fire Luigi, that's just Luigi's color palette in the Super Mario Bros. In that game, Fire Luigi looked exactly like Fire Mario.
