Awesomeness.....Stepchild is more capable now and reliable in a different way....Jelly 🐶 is fast and was gaining on the RC @ the end.....one more rep Kevin 💪......Brittany always editing (keep up the excellent work) can't wait for the next vid....Safe travels
I got rid of the u joint straps on my drive shafts and drilled the yokes out and use u bolts. Still holding up after 20 years. Good video guys. It's easier to right an rc car!
Impressed that you can do all those repairs and modifications yourself. I’ve learned to work on my Jeep much more than any previous vehicle I’ve had before, but I can’t imagine ever being at that level. Impressive.
Kevin. Good job. You have a lot of knowledge. Sometimes it’s good to see y’all working on your Jeep like the real world in drive way on jack. stands. Good Job y’all be safe.
Enjoyed watching this video as usual and really thanks guys with all the current situations and how difficult to upload your videos but you still working hard to make it.
Kevin, CAUTION anytime you join 2 straight cuts, where they meet you create a stress riser. It is best to drill a hole at the intersection and join the straight cuts to the radius formed by the hole as cleanly as possible.
I’m into scale RC which is based off the type of platform he had there but his was a bare bones RTR. These RC trucks can be built to look exactly like the real thing with real winches and everything. Very fun. Rc has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid second to motorcycles, I’m just now getting into the whole 4x4 off roading thing with my 1990 Toyota 4x4.
Literally just dropped my rear Tom Woods 1350 , had all the u joints & ball replaced.. rebalanced and I am watching this right after I took it for a test drive. Why blue locktite? I thought red for drive shaft bolts? 🤔😳
Harbor Freight shipping blankets for the win. I always carry two in my JLUR. They are great if you need to get under the Jeep. Nice vid guys. Always enjoy your content.
Step Child is lucky to have you two loving "Parents"! I'm enjoying seeing your escapades! You are experts in finding local Equipment-makers...the new Spacers seems to be great workmanship! "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten"! Keep on Lite Brite Nation!
Did the money out thing with my cj7 and 1992 Cherokee and 1995 grand Cherokee. I’m older and wiser now and can’t be bothered. 2010 fj and 2000 4runner. Just a modest lift and bigger tires in the stock rims and I’m good to go. Yaaaawn...🥱😴😴😴😴
Great video as usual.i watched while sitting the parking lot of the doctors office, waiting on my 8year old to get checked out.thanks for great videos to make time pass by faster
Glad to finally see the RC again. I love my scale crawlers. It looks like someone needs to work on their scale throttle control. :) Stay safe out there.
Great video! I actually enjoy the install stuff from you two. That crawler looks like fun, it's funny I was just looking at those online last night, with pretty much all of New England being on lockdown and wheeling inaccessible, I was thinking of ordering one to pass the time with LOL.
@@RyanRKJ awesome! I don't really know too much about them yet, I've just seen a few RUclips videos. Which one do you have, and what would you recommend for a beginner? I was looking at the Traxxas trx4s, they seem pretty cool and have some good features. And yeah, there's no real wheeling close to me, so I would do more off-roading with the crawler than with my 4Runner, haha.
Michael Smith I have a Vaterra Ascender. Lots of videos of it on my channel. It’s been very durable. However, the product is at the end of of its cycle, and will soon be discontinued. I’d probably suggest the Traxxas TRX4 Sport to start with.
@@RyanRKJ cool, I'll have to check out your channel. I did see the Ascender pop up in my research, I really dig the Suburban body! I also really like the TRX 4 with the K5 body. I know it's just the body, but the K5 is one of my favorite vehicles of all time. Was allso just reading a review of the Redcat gen 8 Scout, seems like that's a pretty good one, and I really like the price, it's on sale for $269 right now. Decisions, decisions.
So how do you like the rock krawler compare to the metalcloak. I am currently unsure what I'm gonna go with at this point was liking the 3.5 cloak system but I like the beefyness of the RK ....?I know you have long arms now but still need some help. Thanks
Awesome video guys. Love the information. Would be nice to do a summary of "these are all the aftermarket things we still have on the jeep, these are the aftermarket parts we've replaced and why". I have yet to buy a jeep "still working on my Wife, but would be awesome to see a parts roadmap to tell me how broke I'll be. Hahaha
Great find. I'm going to look at the same width for my wife's XJ!!! Nice! Hahahahahaha that was the best ending of all your vids!!! I never go wheeling without my RC crawlers!!!🤘🤘🤘
Good video and good info looking forward to the next. I am curious about Sand Hollow since I hear so much about it. I seen y'all video wheeling there and looks fun also really beautiful views. Gonna have to add it to my trip west once this all over.
Why didn't you prime or paint the opening for the sway bar joint where it goes into the frame after you did the grinding? Seems like a big rust attractant on the frame to me. Good spot for some POR-15 or Rustoleum at least.
Very nice camera work Kevin, you guys have come along way. It dosen't matter what anyone says or thinks, weather you do your own work or someone else does it, or you know everything or get advice from others, it's about living the dream, enjoying life to the fullest, having fun along the way, teaching and learning as you go. So you pay for some and you get some for free, who cares. Your doing what you want and I for one enjoy it. I've learn so much, and so much more to learn. So when I win the Foster Child and let you adopt it, and I buy my JL, I know where to start with mods. God bless stay safe be good or at least be good at it.
Impressive Kevin. I like the fact that you don't mind getting your hands dirty and do things yourself. Then Brittany, Brittany, Brittany your knowledge is exceptional. two thumps up... 🤠
Hmm, now that The Stepchild is 1” wider, I wonder if y’all can get through “The Squeeze” again. There’s only one way to find out! I’ll bring the honey.😉 Keep the shiny side up and Happy Trails!
I would have died laughing if Kevins RC jeep at the end of the video knocked out its drive shaft on the rocks lmao.. In all honesty though i love you guys and I am glad things are going good for you. Keep up with the awesome videos!
A few months back, I destroyed my driveshaft on a pyramidal rock in a similar way... Feel your pain. BTW - Those bistro markers are water soluble erasable. Those marks may not be there when you need them.
It's funny that these videos are recorded before your last video was posted, so y'all already had the thicker-walled driveshaft I said I'd rather have even if it's heavier. lol. And you had to throw on a better swaybar system to boot. :))
Longer wider stronger.
Got it, so what you're saying is size DOES matter! 😉
Thanks for the content yall!
nice seeing the Stepchild fixed and upgraded! Stay safe and can't wait to see the next video!

You two have to get a GI Joe and a blond doll to sit in that RC🤙
Matthew Hatton lots of people build full interiors for their scale RCs. Kev tends not to drive his RC in a very scale fashion though...
@@RyanRKJ still be funny watching a GI Joe and a little blond bouncing around and it.

Nice upgrades to the step child! Stay safe yall!
That is a great place to social distance and an awesome place to play ! Jelly Belly ... she knows how to have fun
Thanks for the video 👍🏾👍🏾. I'm so glad that you finally got a beefy durable drive shaft. I hope it lasts many years. Take care.

Roman Wisniewski no doubt scale crawling is all about doing it slow just like the real deal. I have 2 scale builds myself both based off the scx10
@@jacobhendrickson8935 nice. I have a SCX10.2 and a TRX4. It's an awesome hobby!
Another great video and i liked the wheeling part too!! Get it Jelly!!
Anti-rock FTW!
That RC car wheeling looks like my Jeep on a trip to Fordyce. The crew called me Pinball Bob 🤣🤣🤣
That’s a nice spacer! His jeeps were also badass you should try and see what they’re up to sometime
Love those wheel spacers great job
Always enjoy your vids. Thanks, take care, and stay healthy!
Great comparison at the end
Cool idea to put the tires under the sides of the StepChild in case it falls off the jackstands.
Gary Goldberg
I saw that too, was going to ask why but now I know. Thanks!
Yes sir great idea.
I have been putting the wheels/tires under every time if I have to get under the vehicle.
The military teach you that in the uk it's not only to stop it falling on you but also allows you to put the jack back under the vehicle

That Besttop jacket is sick
Lol love that 4 wheeling at the end !
Wow he has a awesome place there in a perfect area.
Thank y'all for the content!
Kevin what hoodie was that you’re wearing at the end?? I want one
Curiosity - why are you not repainting the frame where you are cutting and grinding? Will that not lead to rust?
We did. Look closer.
It just magically was black!
Free stuff is cool and you earned it
Great video! I giggled the whole time you were running the mini-child (step fetus?) around.
You know Kevin RC4WD makes scale Milestar Pats for your rock crawler!! Baby Child needs new shoes...
At 22:33. Damn Kevin. Leave some swag for the rest of us!!
Solid upgrades, nice job.
It just dawned on me...no camper or RTT...where do you guys sleep? Hotels? How's that working out with the current shelter in place orders?

Better, Faster, Strongerrrrrrr
You need to convert that rear yoke to ubolts and get rid of those straps. Straps are not as strong as the ubolt style. Food for thought.
Didn’t say Kevin is a bad driver. He just has a Happy Right Foot. If I had all that power I would be doing the same thing.
I dig those spacers
Kevin enjoyed that mans hand all over his shaft! 😍
Love your install videos ❤️
Did you remember to put anti-seize on the spacers?
Yeah, use that copper paste anti seize stuff. Highly recommend, I run 2" bolt on spacers from BORA, on my 92 Nissan patrol
Are half shirts and half sweatshirts common in u.s.a?? I'm confused.
Yes, fro those who have the physique. Just look, politely, and enjoy!
Now that's what I am talking about. Like THE RC JEEP
Love you guys be safe
Have you experienced more body roll in the Jeep after the anti-rock install? Not just during wheeling but regular everyday driving
Indo Wrangler check today’s video!
Wow you still have you Axial scx10.2!! Nice drive shaft 😉 lol
Wheeling the rc car is roughly how kevin wheels the stepchild😂
I was going to say that's how Nate was driving his TJ in the last video when his locker broke...

Funny kevin drives the remote control jeep just like the stepchild lol . I wasn’t sure which i was seeing flying over the rocks 😂😂😂
i have the same rc jeep and a bad ass jeep i love them both keep having fun i'm stuck at home i mite go wheeling for easter happy bunny day

Nice, you got a "mini me" of your toy too, kinda thought I was just a little different that mine does.
Should put it on the Foster Child as well!
What hitch receiver jack is that? Anyone know ?
Huh... I assumed the new EV Wrangler JLs would be bigger then that! Rather impressive on the rocks though. 😉
No paint on the exposed metal ?
Y'all thinking about doing the same down the road with the front sway bar
Good to see Kevin finally getting his hands dirty again.
Awsome!! They closed are mountians here in santa fe new mexico or I wold be wheeling also have fun stay safe!
Are the axles stock length? I had to add 1.5 inch adapters to my jk. Still running semi floats though.
68.5” wide

Did I miss something what happened to the 6pk shocks?
Did you miss the whole rock Krawler long arm with 3link setup videos? Happened in December
You missed a lot! Go catch up.
Kevin, after the Antirock, how's the rear end body roll on the highway?
Still feels amazing to drive on the highway! Cruises just fine at 80mph
@@LiteBrite what about handling?
Stronger is the key❤✨ I actually don't know what to say cuz I'm not good at grammars😂

Beautiful views😍😍
Did you paint the cut parts? I hope
Yes
I say y’all go back and hit the same rock to see how it holds up lol to prove a point
Should of had that one with the Xtreme trails you do.
