I admit, i like Elemental Workshop 1 and 2. Not because 1 and 2 were good, but the premise, and potential for good future rewards after E.W.2 (Cough not the actual 3 and 4) Like, its this secret, forgotten, underground facility, where magic and smithing were being experimented with together, as well as things relating to your very being. Dealing with the base 4 elements to create the magical smithable material, and then imbibing it with the essence of YOUR MIND, and teased, Body, and then in rs3 they went for chaos and cosmic. Personally, I'dve chosen more things relating to the player itself. So, Mind, Body, Astral, Death, Blood, Soul, Wrath. Id ABSOLUTELY play a continuation of the quest that lets you effectively make a full set of elemental + equipment. Helm, cape, shield, body, legs, boots, gloves, weapon. Even if it was a 9 string of quests, (ele, mind, body, astral, death, blood, soul, wrath, final) To end up making full sets of each element/aspect, last quest being an improved version of the set being allowed to be made so lower tiers wouldnt be garbage, I feel like itd be a fantastic way to have neat niche effects for having the full sets each. the morytania quest line was the only quest line where i didn't spam space bar and was actually engaged in the story. The story telling of that quest was a 10/10
Mahjarratt questline into elder god wars line in rs3 was such a good story Penguin questline in rs3 is fun Pirate line is extended in rs3 is also interesting. Dwarf line to the final battle in rs3 was satisfying Slug questline was also ended in rs3. Fairy questline was ended with part 3
Having a quest cape on Osrs and rs3 it's really bizzare hearing you talk about questlines that have a conclusion in rs3 e.g the chosen commander storyline ect I honestly wish the osrs team would tie up some loose ends before releasing a new quest Also i'd count lost city in the fairy storyline
@@JohnFromAccounting eh, rs3 has continued to slap with quests. Even in the darkest hours of eoc. Also the scope of rs3 quests is insane and I think any osrs version of the rs3 quests would be very meh as the tools they have would make them more into budget quests. I mean i doubt osrs team could pull off wgs in any reasonable timeline and if they did cut out some fat etc... it would cheapen the quest.
I really love these type of videos you make on top of your other series. I love the explanations and especially for me who has restarted about 6 separate times on RuneScape because I lost my character somewhere outside of lumbridge and needs to live vicariously through other people, thank you!
Icthlarin's Little Helper might not be a terribly fun quest, but it is pretty funny. Probably some of the most Monty Python-like dialogue and writing out of all of the quests.
I remember waiting and waiting for the elf storyline to conclude in RS2. When the final quest came out (Within the Light was it?) it was SUCH a big deal! That mysterious, big empty area FINALLY getting content was amazing!
@@SympleSyn I don't play OSRS, but I do find it hilarious how different the two games are as far as lore-power/threat-scaling. OSRS has a pretty epic sea battle against the dragonkin at its height. RS3 has the creators of the universe trying to eat reality. Both are great, but shit is wild
@@Randomvideos3200 I enjoyed the story but I was disappointed how we were the World Guardian instead of just some dude that got involved in someone else's business.
@@JohnFromAccounting True. But that's kinda how you become the World Guardian. The player fucking around with some dude in a ruin ends up triggering the end of the Age the death of a god. If the player had just minded their own business then Guthix's tomb would have never been opened and the Sixth Age wouldn't have happened. You basically fuck around the world for so long that you gain some fame for a guy to ask you to help him open a door that results in deicide
Honestly guys if you feel like you need some of these quest lines finished up, make an RS3 account and playthrough them there. I decided to do so a few months ago and its been an absolute joy. This video has just reminded me how many great quests OSRS is missing out on
@@IkesThePyro OSRS doesn't have any of the amazing quests between 2007 and 2012, and even afterwards. While Guthix Sleeps was the best quest they ever made. I loved the pirate quests, the penguin quests, the dwarf quests, the vampire quests, Firemaker's Curse, One Piercing Note (the first voice acted quest), the TzHaar quests, and One of a Kind. The "main" story quests were interesting and had good gameplay, but I didn't like that after The World Wakes, our character became a hero, rather than a nosy prick that kept making things worse for people.
@@IkesThePyro Ah yes, I love games that are actively designed to be archaic and reject QoL. A game taking longer to play doesn't make it more rewarding, not if the tedium could be addressed with minimal impact on "the grind".
Lunar diplomacy giving some genuinely good life advice that, even in the slayermusiq guide I was watching, he also stopped to read and take in the dialogue.
Maybe this is just me, but I actually quite like the Elemental Workshop series. It was such a quiet and mysterious side area with all these machines. It felt eerie since it was abandoned and you don't interact with anyone there. Though I would probably say I'm not huge on the third and fourth installment...
And rightfully so. What absolute horrible, unimaginative slogs of quests. I can't believe they made 2 of those, and for a reward that's worth shit-all. The devs who slapped those two quests together truly did not give a single fuck about making a fun quest.
Lore is why I love RS3. They haven't forgotten any of the questlines and tied them up very nicely. Be it the penguins, pirates, dwarves, the desert, and even the Miscellania gets incorporated into the Frem series. And the vampire questline? The Lord of Vampyrium is one of the best quests ever released.
@@115UndeadAnarchy115 they did a little poke in the Fossil Island / Anachronia quests but the devs really don't want to make a city and they can't justify the quest without a city or so they've said
I love this video so much, you can tell just how much Jim genuinely loves and is passionate about these quests. Just great to see people doing stuff they love.
jimmy i think you should talk about rs3 quests at some point honestly because they are really good story wise and noone from osrs community really knows it
I recently started playing osrs for the first time since I was a kid. I finished Slug Menace a few weeks ago and was actually upset that there was no follow-up after all this time. My brother & boyfriend both play and said they didn't remember the questline, and I was probably the only one who really cared about it having such an unsatisfactory ending. Thank you for all the great videos, but a special thank you for the confirmation that there is at least one other person out there that cares about that storyline and wants some closure lol
Elemental workshop is God-Tier solely because it means I don't have to train smithing early on. I hope they release the third one so I can put that skill off for like another 10 levels.
If I had known it was an option, King Drunken Dwarf would have absolutely been my choice in the RS3 dwarf finale. The Sea Slug quest is up there as one of the questlines I want them to cover the most in osrs. Because if they did a quest finale good in RS3 that's fine, but rewriting a *bad* one seems to be where they make their best work, like how much better OSRS's elf finale was (but they got the better Prifddinas so I say we both win some lose some.)
great video on the wonderful questlines of runescape! have you even considered making a video on the lore and history of Gielinor? i think you could do it justice
Hi J1mmy I started watching your videos about a month ago and have watched nearly all of them on your channel. They've become a comfort for me. I appreciate your effort into all of these videos, they're the absolute best. Ps- I just spent an hour doing the fight cave and died in a single hit to jad so I'll be watching your videos until I fall asleep to cope. Thanks for the entertainment💜
I think the goblin quest series would definitely get bumped up to S tier if The Chosen Commander was part of it. I have such fond memories of that entire quest series tbh.
A few of these unlocked ancient childhood memories, like how much I hated Underground pass and Mourning's End part II, the stress of navigating Ape Atoll in Monkey Madness I, and I had the same experience with Fremennik Trials, hated that stupid puzzle room. I remember when I did Desert Treasure as a kid and could finally use the ancient spellbook, I loved that quest even more than Dragon Slayer.
Omg I remember when they released MENAPHOS in RS3! Honestly it was a bop back then. Lol. Though I never mastered the shifting tombs. Just hung out in the Ports district for days/weeks
My feeling about the elf and gnome questlines is that they have such massive difficulty spikes it's kindof hard to think of everything as being the same questline. If you go from doing a quest thats about a 1/10 difficulty to a 7/10, or from 3/10 to 9/10 you'll probably have forgotten a lot of the first quest by the time you can do the second.
Completed the Call To Action RUclipsr questline! Mannnnn, the hours I spent grinding definitely paid off. Happy to sub, love the presentation and effort you put in this video. Cheers!
Great video, agree with basically most if not all of the placements. Wonder how the Jungle Quests stack up. On one hand, they're in a fresh location, tie into the legend's guild, on another, One Small Favour.
I'd say Recipe for Disaster does deserve its own entry on this list, as it's essentially 10 quests wrapped into one. Between having some solid utilities as its rewards and just some fun times had in general, I'd say it gets a passing grade. However, I cannot in good faith give it an A because of the asinine RNG segment that is the Spicy Stew made by Evil Dave's Mother. B Tier.
The Myreque quest line in RS3 was really good. Lord of Vampyrium we defeat Drakan and River of Blood the barrier is close to breaking and the Vampyres are about to invade the main land. We make a peace deal and everythings good. Slug quest is finished by a big pillar lol. Would like the desert questline and a few other quests OSRS has that RS3 doesn't to continue.

This is a rare situation where I'm positively surprised of the comment section. Most of the people think quests as a burden but it's nice to see that some people are able to appreciate the lore.
The puzzle room in the Fremenik Trials was actually my favorite part of all of Runescape. I loved the jug and bucket puzzle and then I saw it in Die Hard 2 and was like "I could do that, Runescape taught me this"

Vampire questline, as you said, could be S tier too, I really love the lore of Morytania and Hallowvale and the Justiciars linking to it, and to top it all of the Theatre of Blood being single most badass piece of content ever is awesome

FIRE!
just resubscribed to runescape for the first time in years and did song of the elves yesterday, absolute banger end to a banger quest series, and seeing prif for the first time after dreaming about going there as a kid really hits
Back in the day, the goblin questline was my favourite. When OSRS came out I felt sad it only had the first two quests. I'm glad they brought the others back too. I've always loved quests because I love stories, I think those annoyingly difficult parts like the obstacles in the Underground Pass add alot to the atmosphere of the quest. I've had my qpc for about a year now and purposely saved the most epic quests for last (MM2, DS2 and SOTE)
Great video dude! I agree the goblin quest line is great and underrated. I also really enjoyed A kingdom divided and Dragon Slayer 2. Song of the Elves had a good story and boss fight, but the library was annoying. Monkey madness 1 was incredible, and done by an intern too! MM2 was good, but it didn't have the special something that MM1 had imo. I also found it weird they just made the monkey speak amulet useless. My favorite part of MM2 was surprisingly sneaking around on the docks. If I had to choose a favorite quest line overrall I would probably pick the vampire series. I hope they continue it one day. I also want to see how A kingdom divided unfolds, because it ended on a cliffhanger. Questing is one of my favorite parts of the game, I don't understand why people just spacebar through them; they're missing out!
I think overall I agree with you. However, I might boost some up with how they are intertwining with other quest lines. For example, the Rune quest line connecting to Vampyre quest line via the stone of Jaz in Temple of The Eye. Or the Troll questline connecting to the Mahjarrat via Secrets of The North. Dragon Slayer II also connects with the Elf story and the Freminick story. All cool stuff.
RS3 has so little going for it, but some of these quest lines were continued sooo well at it's height. The mahjarrat line, the penguin line, the desert line. Even the pirate line.
The elf story is the most significant, most insane, most hated, least loved but it's an S tier because of that. When a RS nerd thinks of a runescape quest, they think of one of the elf quests.
temple knights is S tier for me - so many quirky references to other media i love, hilarious dialogue, goofy pun names for knights, weird turns you didn't expect, and the epic armour sets as rewards. probably my favorite line
The Fairy Quest series is my favorite quest series in the game by far and inspired the foundation of my biggest original piece of fiction, and it's a monumental SHAME it's left in such an unfinished state. Definitely feel Fairy Tale Part III is the quest I've wanted more then any other by far for yeeeeears now.
Anyone playing osrs. I highly reccomend downloading runelite and downloading the plugin for quest guides where it highlights where you have to go for each step, includes everything you need, safespots and any other info you may need to know. For anyone that hates jumping back and fourth between the web and runescape and wants more immersion or an 'easy' mode for quests, this is about as good as it gets.
Song of the Elves definitely dropped the ball for me. Was so excited for it, but it just felt like deus ex machina backstabbing with no one really knowing how we felt when it left off.
That scene at the end of wanted with the ice barrage is to this day my single most vivid memory in RuneScape as a young kid, and how fucking terrified I was that I had to fight that guy
I would definitely put Vampire as S tier for me. That whole quest line with the story progression of the Myreque is god tier. Great character development
I loved the Elemental Workshop series as a kid, there was just something so cool about creating gear that you infused with some bits of yourself, be it mind or body. I do admit that it's a bit lacking now that I'm an adult, though.

Mahjarratt questline into elder god wars line in rs3 was such a good story
Penguin questline in rs3 is fun
Pirate line is extended in rs3 is also interesting.
Dwarf line to the final battle in rs3 was satisfying
Slug questline was also ended in rs3.
Fairy questline was ended with part 3
Having a quest cape on Osrs and rs3 it's really bizzare hearing you talk about questlines that have a conclusion in rs3 e.g the chosen commander storyline ect
I honestly wish the osrs team would tie up some loose ends before releasing a new quest
Also i'd count lost city in the fairy storyline
the chosen commander one of the best quest lines. reallyyyyyyyy want to see something like it in the game
It makes me quite upset that the OSRS backup was in 2007, not 2012. We lost some of the best quests they had ever made.
Fairy tale 5
@@JohnFromAccounting eh, rs3 has continued to slap with quests. Even in the darkest hours of eoc. Also the scope of rs3 quests is insane and I think any osrs version of the rs3 quests would be very meh as the tools they have would make them more into budget quests. I mean i doubt osrs team could pull off wgs in any reasonable timeline and if they did cut out some fat etc... it would cheapen the quest.
@@checker297Wgs is releasing soon. Let's see how it goes ig
I don't need a RS3 By Release, but I hope Jimmy is still checking out all the quests. Because holy shit, I know he'd love them.
The entire Sliske Arc is just chefs kiss
@@Randomvideos3200 Bruh, the whole Elder Gods arc is fucking nuts.
This video has just reminded me how many great quests OSRS is missing out on
Nah. OSRS is just better.
@@IkesThePyro get out of your own way
@@IkesThePyrostop being cringe and let people give it a shot if they want to
@@IkesThePyro Ah yes, I love games that are actively designed to be archaic and reject QoL. A game taking longer to play doesn't make it more rewarding, not if the tedium could be addressed with minimal impact on "the grind".
Lunar diplomacy giving some genuinely good life advice that, even in the slayermusiq guide I was watching, he also stopped to read and take in the dialogue.
"It's okay to think different. It's how good things happen, like war." jimmy thank you for my new favorite quote
Maybe this is just me, but I actually quite like the Elemental Workshop series. It was such a quiet and mysterious side area with all these machines. It felt eerie since it was abandoned and you don't interact with anyone there. Though I would probably say I'm not huge on the third and fourth installment...
Lol at the immediate unquestioned "F" rating for Rag and Bone Man 1 and 2 😂
Sooo true tho lol😅
The only reason I decided to watch the video. Had to see rag and bone man get dumped, hate them
And rightfully so. What absolute horrible, unimaginative slogs of quests. I can't believe they made 2 of those, and for a reward that's worth shit-all. The devs who slapped those two quests together truly did not give a single fuck about making a fun quest.
The Rag and Bone Man quests are what most MMO quests are. You go to a place and kill things then go back to the quest giver.
Dragonslayer 2 was based on While Guthix Sleeps, the first Grandmaster quest in the game. Of course it was going to be incredible.
It seems like Temple of the Eye hinted some more with the Stone of Jas stuff
Lore is why I love RS3. They haven't forgotten any of the questlines and tied them up very nicely. Be it the penguins, pirates, dwarves, the desert, and even the Miscellania gets incorporated into the Frem series. And the vampire questline? The Lord of Vampyrium is one of the best quests ever released.
Did they finish the Gnome series yet? The last thing I remember is finding out where Arposandra is and thats it
@@115UndeadAnarchy115 Nope
@@DaleWrecker ffs its been like 7 years
@@115UndeadAnarchy115 they did a little poke in the Fossil Island / Anachronia quests but the devs really don't want to make a city and they can't justify the quest without a city or so they've said
@@emeraldpichu1 Yeah well they should have though about that while writing the quest into a corner like that
I love this video so much, you can tell just how much Jim genuinely loves and is passionate about these quests. Just great to see people doing stuff they love.
dang as an RS3 player it's crazy to see all these storylines they've left unfinished in OSRS
Dragon slayer II is an amazing quest. Mechanics and story brought me back to my childhood
Your vids are always so uplifting and make me feel happy to be a part of this community. Good stuff man
So happy you said DS2 was your favourite quest. Couldn’t agree more, really makes your character feel like a hero and the story is brilliant
jimmy i think you should talk about rs3 quests at some point honestly because they are really good story wise and noone from osrs community really knows it
I recently started playing osrs for the first time since I was a kid.
Would highly recommend you guys check out the Penguin storyline in RS3. It is fucking nuts lmao
I love how mad the Penguin series was. The funniest quest line.
1:03 'I miss discussing quests :-('
-> fluttn has logged out
Yeah, that tracks :)
There are multiple quest series that really should get sequels.
Duh
Omg I remember when they released MENAPHOS in RS3! Honestly it was a bop back then. Lol. Though I never mastered the shifting tombs. Just hung out in the Ports district for days/weeks
My feeling about the elf and gnome questlines is that they have such massive difficulty spikes it's kindof hard to think of everything as being the same questline. If you go from doing a quest thats about a 1/10 difficulty to a 7/10, or from 3/10 to 9/10 you'll probably have forgotten a lot of the first quest by the time you can do the second.
your description of the way monkey madness made you feel was spot on. made being able to wield the D scimmy feel so much more rewarding too.
Just bought membership. That's the last straw. Time to quest.
weird to see you here, hope you enjoyed osrs though. :)
@@realityDUBSTEP I quit so fast this time around hahahah
@@LanguageSimpThere is no quitting.
Completed the Call To Action RUclipsr questline! Mannnnn, the hours I spent grinding definitely paid off. Happy to sub, love the presentation and effort you put in this video. Cheers!
I wish the witch's house got a sequel, like what about all those experiments under her house?!
In grim tales quest those experiments drop more roots for the shrink potion or something
Great video, agree with basically most if not all of the placements. Wonder how the Jungle Quests stack up. On one hand, they're in a fresh location, tie into the legend's guild, on another, One Small Favour.
One small favour was traumatic
I'd say Recipe for Disaster does deserve its own entry on this list, as it's essentially 10 quests wrapped into one. Between having some solid utilities as its rewards and just some fun times had in general, I'd say it gets a passing grade. However, I cannot in good faith give it an A because of the asinine RNG segment that is the Spicy Stew made by Evil Dave's Mother. B Tier.
Loved this, love your video essays. These are always perfect. Take care, Jim!
I appreciate you, Ole Jimjam. I was bored and really wanted new content at this exact moment.
Pretty good ranking overall, vampyres are an S for me personally
Same, I hope they continue the quest line soon!
im about 3.30 in and im gonna be honest, i love your videos ill always watch them ive got possibly the most plays on spotify for your tunes but wow, id never seen your knees before, it just tripped me out, like they are nice and all that for knees and i knew you had them but id never seen them, so it took me back abit actually seeing j1mmy with knees. buzzy
it’d be so cool if you could make this video for rs3 ❤️ it has undeniably better stories than osrs after all
This is a rare situation where I'm positively surprised of the comment section. Most of the people think quests as a burden but it's nice to see that some people are able to appreciate the lore.
I always wanted there to be a Fairy tale III: The Return Of The Queen
The puzzle room in the Fremenik Trials was actually my favorite part of all of Runescape. I loved the jug and bucket puzzle and then I saw it in Die Hard 2 and was like "I could do that, Runescape taught me this"
12:05 Could you imagine how easy life would be if paper was real?
Also fuck raid shadow legends
Can’t believe you did Rag & bone man dirty. It’s my favorite quest chain
This man will literally do anything but put out another by release
Bro, I got an Avatars Saga ad on a J1mmy video. I get to watch J1mmy do his intro, then do his paid sponsorship and then do an official ad. What a time to be alive.
J1mmy, you've got a lot going on and it's wild to see how far you've come from when I was waiting for you to drop the next by Release almost 3 years ago now.
Fkn crazy, can't wait for the SotE episode!
I remember unlocking the helm of neitiznot back in the day but I never remember doing the quest. It's bizarre because this was back when you'd have to unlock hints on the main website but I never remember doing the peer the seer step
J1mmy: "Just drop a comment if you disagree with my rankings."
Everyone watching: *laser eyes*
I did My Arms Big adventure lately. My Arm tells you how bad human names are, he gave a username and later that same user was on the boat to Karamja with us.
Take care of yourself. I know that type of stomach pain is some of the worst pain a person can have. I’m really hoping you stay feeling better and no more attacks. ❤
years ago dorgeshuun and vamp quests were my favorites, im so glad to see how theyve gotten more quests and of course vampyres getting looooots of content. great quests
Vampire questline, as you said, could be S tier too, I really love the lore of Morytania and Hallowvale and the Justiciars linking to it, and to top it all of the Theatre of Blood being single most badass piece of content ever is awesome
Im just here to post a comment on this video about J1mmy's musical skills! holy hell! I am literally playing his osr raps on repeat for hours while playing! lol i cant believe he made music for runescape sound so damn good! definitely checking more of your music out! listening to RNG and Codes while scaping! FIRE!
just resubscribed to runescape for the first time in years and did song of the elves yesterday, absolute banger end to a banger quest series, and seeing prif for the first time after dreaming about going there as a kid really hits
Underground Pass is one of the best quests in OSRS.
7:34 This part was epic because the RS main theme plays, but yeah RNG agility during a quest is the worst thing in any quest
Ngl bud, happy to see you happy/excited for new OSRS content.
Surprised that the karamja jungle quests don't fall under a storyline as such, also a guilds section would be nice as the guild quests are iconic
Good to see your back in the vids and feeling better 🙌
The elf story is the most significant, most insane, most hated, least loved but it's an S tier because of that. When a RS nerd thinks of a runescape quest, they think of one of the elf quests.
temple knights is S tier for me - so many quirky references to other media i love, hilarious dialogue, goofy pun names for knights, weird turns you didn't expect, and the epic armour sets as rewards. probably my favorite line
Great video as always! You are my favorite Runescape 3 youtuber. Glad your skill has finally been recognized.
Man you videos are soo good and definitely getting better with time. Keep it up!! its entertaining and different from the normal stuff!
I think you help out the osrs writers so much. Your ideas are stellar dude! Keep up the awesome honest work!
I'm willing to accept the video being late because you're working on a song. That's awesome man I'm sure everyone is pumped to hear it. No pressure :D
