    as a Australian to Slovenian parents... our parents didn't have discos... but they had something from their homeland that they brought across to Australia. every week end was occupied by births, birthdays, wedding and all types of Festivals and also coming and going to the homeland.... amongst all that there was sure a party to attend... These video moments are now only fond memories of my childhood and boy ... did my parents know how to party and we have the memories.

    thanks for the video. Ottavijo is the person who inspired me to learn how to play the diatonic accordion when I listened to his recordings on a local radio station back in the 70's. Went to his house in 2001. Unfortunately he wasn't home, but his wife welcomed us with open arms.
    A great time.

    I am not fluent, but can manage to converse, although as the relatives in Slovenia pointed out many times, I was using incorrect grammer at times, which was interesting since they could not speak English. They new where Ottavijo lived and we just drove there and knocked on the door.
