John 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” This has been my favorite verse in the bible since I was a teenager. I fell away from Christ for many years, but I truely believe this verse never really left my heart. This podcast came along at a time I was getting my life right in God's ways again, and continues to help me focus on God's Holy Word. Thank the Robertsons, and thank all of you who are a part of this Unashamed Nation for a beacon of truth and light for God, at least for me and my life. God bless each of ou who read this.
Believe that Jesus's death on the cross cleansed 100% of your sins and you are right with God. If you are "trying" to get right with God, then you don't believe his sacrifice was enough, and therefore you are trying to fill in the gap. If you believe Jesus only covered 99% of your sins, then you have to cover 1% of your sins, which will be done in hell, because one lie makes you a liar, and liars will not inherit the kingdom of God.
My wife and I have been married 33 yrs and together for 40 yrs. And we still love one another. More now than then. I believe God made us for one another, I truly do.
Amen, that's the verse that I used to always write on wedding cards: "Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:11-12
I really enjoy all the podcasts, but this has to be the best one I’ve listened to … and I’ve listened to a lot. Great job dissecting the line between grace, sin, and self-righteousness. Loved it!

An idol. I realized after 32 yrs of marriage, my family, my marriage was it was an idol. God wasn't the problem. We were both Christians, BUT, God wasn't in our hearts as individuals.
Sin and drugs/alcohol overwork was the key to destroying my first marriage pus the fear of not knowing how to raise 3 daughters in 4 years that ruined the plans of my professional path. After finally getting CLEAN and going to AA and conferences plus tripping to Akron,Ohio I then got on a new path single and learning to live with myself. I lost family respect and never saw my girls again up to this day but I did support them financially and spiritually. This marriage has lasted over 20 years compared to the 6 years of my first mainly because I was clean and in LOVE with a woman that saved my life and supported me. Bless you, ALL for being in my life today and helping me to open my eyes and soul~
Wow...this one is a bit old. But I don't mind! I love to watch this show. I have the utmost respect for you all sharing your bible study with us. I love Phil and have enjoyed watching him for years now. I kinda lost you all for a while, but I am glad to have found you all again! Jase was always my fav. of the sons, now I know why...I could relate to him and his personality and his walk with God. Does anyone in the family still make and sell duck calls? I was the daughter of a duck hunter, but daddy wouldn't take a daughter hunting. Sry he didn't get a son...but he could have made an effort to take me under his wing. I adored my dad and wanted to be just like him. I got to take care of him for 2 years and got to know him...and he wasn't really who I thought he was. I did constantly talk to him about God and my own testimony and I am so glad that he rededicated his life to Jesus and one fine day soon I'll get to see him again. Same with my mother, she too was saved before passing away. I really look forward to the day Jesus raises us all up and we join Him in the place he's gone to prepare for us. I'd say the biggest problem with marriage is people get married thinking it is a contract between them and the state. How many still see it as a covenant with God? State should not be involved, state promotes all that comes with marriage through divorce for full financial benefit to their system.

I don’t know if I’d say he was an agnostic in the sense that we mean it today. In “meditations” he does mention and thank the gods, though he approaches the Roman religion from his own stoic point of view. He was aware of the Christians as he also wrote about them in “meditations.” To what extent he knew about their religion is unknown, as Christianity was still a secret religion at that time. Marcus did write that he admired the Christian’s eagerness to die, but he criticized them for “dying for not justifiable reason.”
Mentioning wonder woman....my grandmother had a huge picture of a Spanish woman hanging in her din back in the 70's. My grandmother caught my uncle shining a flash light on her cleavage, so she took some finger nail polish and covered it up for the same reasons. My husband and I have been married 35 years and we are Christians. Yes have we made some mistakes along the way. We had to learn like everyone else to repent, ask for forgiveness and keep your faith in Jesus. Loving, patience, kindness....it all helps your marriage. Keep God in your lives. I love your podcast. It seems to me that in marriage, like Jase said, once we get to know each other is when everything changes whether we do or don’t have the knowledge of God. The knowledge of right and wrong is destructive without the wisdom of Jesus. Knowledge without wisdom is the culprit in any relationship or even any thought that is put in our mind. We have to make the choice in any of these circumstances to seek the wisdom of Jesus first before making our decisions. That being said, when we make that choice to seek Jesus’ wisdom, we have to ask the question does my answer glorify God? That’s the difference between knowledge & wisdom. It goes back to the garden.

It seems to me that in marriage, like Jase said, once we get to know each other is when everything changes whether we do or don’t have the knowledge of God. The knowledge of right and wrong is destructive without the wisdom of Jesus. Knowledge without wisdom is the culprit in any relationship or even any thought that is put in our mind. We have to make the choice in any of these circumstances to seek the wisdom of Jesus first before making our decisions. That being said, when we make that choice to seek Jesus’ wisdom, we have to ask the question does my answer glorify God? That’s the difference between knowledge & wisdom. It goes back to the garden.
Trivial question - why does Jase refer to his parents by their first names? I would have been clobbered for calling my parents by their first names. 😊

Thankyou all for another very insightfull show I could wach your shows day in and day out I have hrs and hrs of the Robertson's clan highracky descussing the relevance between things that have been sergested in the holy tex and day to day living and how you can exist quight easily by living your life as it is sergested to and oltematly there is no greater way to live life as to live day in and day out with no shame or disohner your in control of how you carry yourself in the eyes of others yet you should allow yourself to take notes of the way you are perceived and to show your brothers and sisters that to live rychesly is but only one aspect of your existence yet to follow unconditionally in the word and ways of Christ and his teachings is to live life as he has intended us to live and for this life should be cherished day by day and to know that you have eturnity to tech and to show others that you are able to cherish life always now and for ever this is how the Lord wants his children to be and to bring others to live in such a way that will please him and others that have chosen to welcome the holy spirit into there Hart's for eturnity and for this I believe holy that the man and women who follow on this manner shall live life as one in the name of Christ I thank all of those who follow THEASE words in jusus name amen.may 2023 bring you all love and fellowship where ever you may be ..

I couldn't put myself through college, my husband left me with 3 children under 4 yrs. I had grants & loans (that I paid back.) If you WANT to go to college, you can.
