    • @whitewalker608
      @whitewalker608 3 года назад

      @yberez It has no complex rhythm, it's 4/4. Syncing is not an issue for a guitar player unless you're shredding. Right hand picking pattern in Neon is not tougher than his other songs that include Slap+note picking. Chords arent as tough as Who Says, Stop this train, Why Georgia either. Lol I'm pretty sure you're trolling who's just a listener and never tried to either learn Neon or any other JM song for that matter. It is not John Mayer's toughest song, beginners have overhyped it in the video comments and you are following it blindly.

    I don’t know but it seems everybody always forgets about Jenny Wren by Paul McCartney, it’s like the blackbird 2.0 but a lot harder since there are a lot more chord changes, hammer ons, and pull offs on that song compared to blackbird plus it’s a really beautiful sounding song where the guitar itself could sing the lyrics to you like here comes the sun or while my guitar gently weeps.

    Most guitarists are so used to the squeaky finger-slide noises between notes/chords that they don’t notice. A non-guitarist pointed this out to me and so I started playing more carefully. It sounds so much better. Now I notice when anyone else does it.
    These are some great tunes and they’re otherwise played brilliantly. 👍🏻

      @@lifeisshortdontwasteitread2830 Oh honestly? Learn any song you want to play but if you want to learn a certain technique, include at least 30 minutes of practice in your Daily playing. Just do the thing you want to learn and Focus on that. Don't focus on learning just one song in which you need to use that one technique. You'd learn a song but wouldn't get the overall ability. I realized that when I started learning Dragonforce- Through the Fire and Flames.
      Almost forgot: Always use metronome when training

    • @NorbertMachowski
      @NorbertMachowski 4 года назад

      @@lifeisshortdontwasteitread2830I used to think the same way you do. Believe me that if you'd start using metronome, you'll definitely change your mind about being "pretty good rhythm wise". I speak mostly about using it, when you PRACTICE. That is because most people tend to change the tempo during excercise, without even knowing it and it really makes it more difficult, frustrating and makes your progress coming way slower. Want to know how to use it? With a song: google its title and add "bpm" That's it.
      During training: Set your speed for the excercise and when you're okay in a certain tempo, then speed the metronome up a little bit.
      The essence of the metronome is that it should sound with your guitar like it was an additional percussive instrument playing along with you.

    To anyone starting out or maybe only a year or two in, don't obsess about how difficult something you can play is. It overall makes playing less enjoyable, if you're intermediate and you wanna play a beginner level song cause you love it, go ahead. Likewise if you're a beginner but you want to play a difficult song, try it out and if you can't do it just come back later when you've honed your skills a bit more or perhaps find an easier version to learn. You're gonna have a lot more fun if you learn songs based on how much you enjoy them. Nobody likes the person who goes "I just learned a song meant for someone way better than I should be" and likewise, to anyone already good at guitar don't say anything belittling to someone worse than you. They may look up to you for being a better player and if you say something mean that could ruin instruments for them for a long time.

RUclips seems to be a backpacking trip and long-distance marathon to go far and far alone. I didn't know that your video was very good until I met your video. Your video shines so beautifully, but it's a pity that you can't easily meet it without the RUclips algorithm. even after a long time
    I will remember your video deeply in my heart. The RUclips world feels like running into a rough field. I think I met your video at the end of that hill where a rainbow more brilliant than jewels lives. The moment I watched your video, the first feeling was very good. I did. I think you will be happy in the morning because of your video today. It is a feeling that you will surely achieve the dream you want to wake up to in the huge RUclips world. After watching your video, thinking about it now, your video came to the depths of my heart and instilled emotion and happiness in me. As you have worked hard for your dreams, I hope that your channel will gradually develop and become a very big channel. I am not lonely and I am so happy that I happened to watch your videos in the endless universe-like RUclips world.

    I'd like to mention that 'house of the rising sun' as arranged by the animals is played with a plectrum! And that you haven't played the notes in the right rhythm! The ascending part of the arpeggio is played faster than the descending. For a real fingerpicking version of house of the rising sun check out dylan or van ronk's version.. Cheers

    I love how Neon is classed easier than Dont fear the reaper xD

    • @whitewalker608
      @whitewalker608 3 года назад +2

      Because it is. Learn to play it and you'll see. People hype Neon a lot. So everyone else follows it as well without even trying to play it. Neon is not tougher than Classical Gas or even Who Says by John Mayer himself. I know how to play all these songs. Who Says took me 3 months to perfection. It has more thumb chords, tougher riffs, harder to master strumming technique. Neon's main riff which people hype so much took me 2 weeks to get clean with. Neon is mostly hyped by people who actually never tried learning it. Unpopular opinion.

    • @esatgursoy7076
      @esatgursoy7076 3 года назад +1

      Neon is an easy song at least for me since I am familiar with the idea of only using index finger and thumb you just need to practice chord changes and I believe you can do it with one day of practice

    House of the rising sun by the animals was done with a pick, it just was done with a sweeping motion to pluck the individual notes.

    However Dust in the wind (And other songs) is not beginner-intermidiated, it's even tougher than many other intermidiate songs on the list due to it's speed.

    Thanks. I've used your Blackbird and Fast Car to begin learning finger picking. There were a LOT of these songs that I look forward to learning. I guess with Tommy Emmanuel near the end, these must be ordered easy to hard. Thanks for that, too.
    I like your style of teaching and playing. Wish I had found you sooner.

    Been playing a little over 6 months and my first song of choice was "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You." I think any song is a beginner song if you're driven enough to learn it. :) (Of course I don't sound as great as Paige or Justin Derrico). Either way, this playlist/medley is super inspiring and I want to play all of them.

    • @SixStringFingerpicking

    All faberge egg-grade tunes,impeccably executed.I would have placed John Raymond's 'Lay me down' in there, the one sung by Crosby and Nash which is insanely overlooked.You got me inspired with Rhiannon.Sounds incredible on an acoustic and quiet eery when 'Never going back again' was tackled exactly at the...''l wonder if he'll do nev'' ?....point.

    Landslide is great because it's basically a beginner, intermediate, or advanced song depending on how you play it.
    Verse and basic version of chorus = beginner
    Learn to play the chorus the way Lindsey Buckingham does = intermediate
    Learn to play the live solo version = advanced
