I was-my older daughter was a part of the Color Guard in the Mighty Sound of Maryland (the university’s marching band), and it was also High School Band Day, so my younger daughter was representing our high school’s marching band in the halftime show with the MSOM (she was color guard also; she normally plays percussion but couldn’t get an instrument from the high school). Since this was my older daughter’s senior year and they’re five years apart in school, this was the _only_ chance my daughters had to perform together (something they always wanted to do). Even if I could only afford a ticket in the nosebleed seats, it was worth it to see them achieve their dream!
