As a fan of Zheng, I'll say this, I did not expect her to win but I'm more than glad that she did. Barbora is a tough girl. This win and the tournament should boost her rating. I hope she reaches Top 10 someday. Sooner better than later.

Very good for Zheng, it's good that she finally won this match and the title. She is part of the present and future of women's tennis. On the other hand, for such a good player and technically gifted, Barbora's mentality sometimes fails and she lacks a bit of courage.
Lacks courage? She's a Major champion. That's total nonsense. Zheng had the crowd behind her and she played amazing the entire tournament. Barbora has nothing to feel bad about.

Not a easy year for Zheng, not making a big progress at GSs, couch leaving out of blue, early leave at Beijing. At the end of the season, she instead breaks through the dilemma, Winning her first title, the Asia game, and now first 500 title.

Well-deserved title for Qinwen Zheng, claiming this gigantic championship on home soil is really special for Chinese tennis player. She proves the presence of China in the tennis sport. She definitely becomes a source of inspiration to the development of Chinese tennis. It is utterly a memorable accomplishment in Zhenghou.

Zheng was struggling in the first half of 2023 but she recovered beginning from July winning WTA250 clay court followed by quarter final at US open, Asian games champion and now WTA500 champion. Hope she continues improve in every department of her game and achieve more and greater successes. Well done Queen Wen.

It's quite interesting that 2 women players of Asian heritage has both achieved comeback wins (after dropping the 1st set) vs Czech women players in the final of recent Asian tournaments, with Qinwen winning here at the Zhengzhou Open against Barbora, and Leylah Fernandez defeating her compatriot Katerina Siniakova as the Hong Kong Open! Well done, Qinwen!
Pegula is also Asian heritage LOL as her mather was korean.
@@grand480 Oh certainly Jessica is of Asian heritage, no doubt, it's just that...she hasn't won against a Czech player in the final of the Seoul Open, otherwise I would have factored that into my comment 😁
If (finalist) Yue Yuan lost in the QF, Jessica could've (potentially) played Marie Bouzkova in the final! Then it really wouldn't be the best week for the Czechs 😀
Actually Leylah is at last showing the form that took her to the 2021 US Open final.
One simple mistake on the last set caused her game. Barbora was 2:1 and 30:15 last set. She should volley and lead by 2:1, 40:15 and then get another point n lead by 3:1 but she put it in the net. Zheng was far behind the baseline. That's when Zheng came 30:30 then 40:40 and equal that up with 2:2. And started getting the crowd behind her. And barbora realized her mistake and Lost her game momentum.
I am Barbora fan, she has 7 single titles including 1 grand slams and 18double titles including 7 Grand slams and 3mixed tittles. I am happy Zheng win her 2nd title in her home.

the opposite thing happened to Zheng in the first set, with that volley into the net after a weak attack, from then on it disappeared
I doesn't use to like Krejcikova thinking overrated after her French open victory and continuous losses.. but now When I see her hitting it feels like how clean she hits like her arm movement full stretch it's so pleasing to watch.. only thing is her full sleeves and her leggings .. lol but still he pleases with her shots..

Her ball flies too high during serve and she has difficulty to serve with precision. She should try to serve like Kudermotova.

Krejcikova wont show any sort of interest 90per of tournis she play ! But when she wanna win any cup ! She will win when she face worldno 1 in that tourni also !! For exmple swiatek ! But she cant lift title these time she aimed for cup but missed for the frst time !! Well played zheng

@@giulianovineis6730Pere RIBA and Qinwen had lots of disagreements before they decided to end it, I won’t say she regrets it, coz sometimes changes can be simply good for both. Maybe that’s what’s meant to be.
The match could be described as bad even the short Pegula x Yuan was way better but the title cerimony my freaking God I'd like to know chinese someday but I'm happy I don't yet 😂
