    In this video, I finally show you everything I could think of for a very common question I constantly get. What program do I use to make my designs. This is a corel draw tutorial and I'll teach you where to get fonts. How to trace a design with corel draw. How to make an outline with corel draw. I use corel draw x4 in one laptop and corel draw x8 in another.

    I actually have a background in graphics but it's been years since I dabbled. I forget how much easier CoralDraw was. I stumbled onto on of your videos and your enthusiasm and real life approach is fantastic. I think I needed this at this point in my life. Thank you!

    I've used those same 2 programs for YEARS now lol. Thanks for showing me some new tricks. I gotta get back into designing, my buddy and I are trying to start up our own shirt line but finding the energy to do it is rough lately cause I just wanna game after a long day at work. But watching your videos and a couple other channels are keeping me inspired and ready to get back into it. So thank you!

      You're very welcome and atleast you know where you're getting distracted. Believe it or not, I have an addictive personality. I had to delete all gaming apps from my phone and gave my gaming systems to my nephew because I was spending too much valuable time on gaming instead of growing myself. But of course, do that whenever you're ready. I'm sure you're young, enjoy life

    I never comment on vids but I had to on this one. First of all, LOVE your voice and personality! If you want to use Google pics, do your search in images and click on tools, then the drop-down arrow on usage rights and select labeled for reuse. They're not always the best images but I usually find something good to work with. Or, I use a commercial image and change it! Then it becomes a Katt Original! ;)

    Reyes. to remove overlapping lines in fonts, try using the Weld tool. This is especially important for script type fonts. Just select all the text, go to the Arrange menu, go to Shaping sub-menu and click Weld. The overlapping portions merge together. You don't even need to convert to curves. Now your text is ready to cut. I can't say for sure if this works for every font. It depends on how the font is constructed. Free.99 knowledge.

    Bro. First of all great video. I'm actually going through most of your videos because you give good tips and advice. Thanks for that. You make it pretty damn easy and explain well. I want to give you a top for what I use for vector designs. Try Inkscape. There's a guy called nick and he shows how to make logos and other simple designs using inkscape or gimp. You can use that as well to make graphics or text png files. Thank you big guy for your videos. I appreciate the time and effort you out in to explain to us. Take it easy and keep up your hustle bro

    Corel seems like the prefer choice for t-shirt making but another software that is super affordable is Affinity Designer. You can do everything he did when tracing objects / images / pictures. However, it doesn't have a trace-vector tool like Corel or Adobe Illustrator (Vector Based Software). You would have to do the manual way which is the best way if you want to be anal about it being a "perfect" smooth trace. It does require practice but once you figure it out, it's fairly easy. The pen tool is daunting at first but once you get more familiar with it, it becomes an easy-fun tool to use.

    Just a tip to download a little faster your fonts:
    1.- when u click Download, a window is gonna apear on the bottom of your screen.
    2.- Don’t click Download Nooooo!!!! Lol, Click OPEN.
    3.- it’s gonna take u to another window, where u gonna open the file where u can see the font and on the upper side look 👀 where it said DOWNLOAD and now u can click there.
    I hope 🤞 I don’t forget anything 😂, and I hope it works for u, it’s a lot faster and that’s the way I Download my fonts too. ✌️

      Are you aware of the instructional manuals that's available? I have x6 and two of the manuals. Between those and RUclips I hope to be up and running real soon. Also there are online classes you can take. Like Lynda classes for $25.00 per month subscription you can study with Corel Draw experts. I'm taking advantage of as many learning resources as I can. Thanks for the tutorial. It's cool seeing how much you are able to accomplish with very limited knowledge of the software. You can spend a lifetime learning Corel Draw its a very powerful software program. I paid full price for the entire suite. It cost me $499.00 next up is Corel Painter $429.00 Between the two of them I'll be fully loaded with digital art and design software.

      I'll write that down on my list. The next video will be "Cheap and easy ways to grow your shirt business" and "equipment you need to start a shirt business from home on a budget." I don't like to commit to too many videos because I like making videos that i'm interested in at the moment but i'll put it on the list and i'll get to it when I get to it but thats a great topic video.

    You can find free images to reuse comercially on Google. Justgo (under search window) Settings - Advanced search - usage rights - free to use, share or modify, even comercially. Boom! There you go :)

    Inkscape is free and it looks very similar! It's all I use. Also, on the first font that you showed us the example of, would it look ok if you adjusted the spacing between letters instead of having to do all of that manual editing? :) Just a thought. Thanks for the video! I hope you are doing better because the last I know you were in the hospital.

    I don't know if this works on your corel version, but to delete the circle from the curved font, you could click directly on the circle line, not in it, and it will only select the circle. And then you can delete it.

    Informative for sure.. I use Inksape which is free and in my opinion a much more powerful program which does everything your doing but easier/better.. I really enjoyed your vid and the concepts you present, I kinda already employ most of what you are doing and fully agree with your suggestion.. I was wonder if your do any other type of decal..? by that I mean do you employ a printed multicolor type of decal that docent require stacking different color vinyls..??

    Reyes, I love your informative, motivating, and down to earth videos. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. Question: Do you ever utilize free vector graphics software? If so, which one(s) would you recommend, and are they compatible with illustrator and Photoshop? Ex. Can I edit an image a designer send me in illustrator, using free software, or Corel Draw?

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  6 лет назад +1

      I've open files from designers with corel draw without a problem. Free vector graphic software, umm the only one i've heard about from the comments below is something called inkscape but I've never tried it. If you find anything, let me know

I only ask because I'm leaning towards using them when i finally get the money for my heat press, the MPress, lol. I don't have the money for a cutter. Again awesome awesome vids. Try the contour tool help a lot with the outlines
    So you don't bitmap your design
    Just make a contour(same as an outline) as bigger as you want them break it apart (control_K) now you have two shapes the main design an the out line as a shape
    I'm leaning the t-shirt business trough RUclips so here I am saludos

    Very good video very informative, I just wish the tool bar on the left was more clear to see the tool you clicking on better, Other than that you showed me a lot and I have been using Corel for a long time
    I would like to ask you a favor .... can you please tell us how to make a video what software to use and how, I use screen recorder and is not as good. Please help

  • @mattandrade30
    @mattandrade30 2 года назад

    Also. I know this video is old but … look at the contour tool (near the envelope tool). Also when you have the outline and you convert it to Bing map and then trace it you can just write click the outline and click convert to object.

    With something that needs to be symmetrical like the crown, split it down the middle with a line, delete the worst side, tidy the other side up, then duplicate it, flip, rejoin and then delete the middle line. This will give you a perfect crown.

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  6 лет назад

      I know exactly what you mean. To be honest, I left a lot of techniques out because the video was already 40 minutes and had to prioritize just the basics but I might include that if I make a part 2. Any more suggestion would be truly appreciated :)
