Always love to hear any background story from any band .. I would love to see these guys live...it’s always so cool to have a personal connection with your music, and fans ... that’s the gift of music that just keeps on giving
I love Brent's honesty! Hope they come back to my part of the country because I would love to see them again, that was the best concert I ever attended!
We or I do care about your day, but I appreciate y'all giving it your all every performance!! That's exactly what makes y'all SUPERB ENTERTAINERS!!! FROM, FLORIDA ❤️❤️❤️WINS❤️❤️❤️
zach is bored. I was in Saving Abel and Ingram hill. bands do interviews at least 3 or 4 times a day. I've known zach from when we started the fairwell together. He went to Shinedown, I went to saving Abel. zach and i met these guys when we were guitar techs for saliva. all these guys truly are who they say they are and even cooler to be around. it's different to watch this cause it's friends not just a band I like. really really great band to follow.
Daniel Dwight These guys are amazing men and their music and drive have saved my life, literally. I hope I have an opportunity to meet them someday and tell them myself. The talent is incredible in all of them. I hope the best for them and yourself!!
You guys TOTALLY ROCK! So down-to-earth and I love your music - it speaks to me and I listen to one of your four albums EVERY DAY - and YES I have them alllllllllll!!!! You sing what you feel and it is so much more inspiring that any band out there!
They better not end, they can keep going. There will always be more for them to write about. And more people to introduce their music to. Start the process of making people happy again with their music.
OK!!! I'm gonna try and see if some of you huys will see this BUT! PLEASE SHINEDOWN!! Come to Denmark. The last time I have seen you, was back at 2008 when you were opening for Disturbed, and your performance was much better than Disturbed, because you talk to the audience, you make us wanna rock with you guys!! COME TO DENMARK PLEASE!!
I would like to know if If You Only Knew and For My Sake were written about the same person? i LOVE their music! In my opinion this is the best band to come out in a very long time! THANKS FOR YOUR WORK.
OH my gosh! I don't think I ever conected to this band as much as I did right now. As far as the bully thing goes I was first taught how to punch and fight when I was 8 and everyday now I listen to bully and box. I stand up for myself and I feel what Brent said was true. You can't turn the other Cheek. Everyone says oh just walk away but I don't think you should. Yes I am a girl and I used to made fun of for loving rock and living this band and I defended myself. I think this music is brilliant and every single song is very inspiring. I get bullied each day and I try to change that but, yes I stutter yes I don't let people in my heart. Is that so bad? I would love for replys on what to do about that cause I am hardcore and they don't care. Anyways I find Shinedown amazing and even though I am really young ( not even a teen) I think this music touched me more than any song ever will. I even have a picture of Brent and a pic of Shinedown in my locker. I am a cold hard fan and I wish I could meet Shinedown or if one of them even replys I will pass out!!! I love Shinedown and even though Brent Smith is 14 days older than my dad (literally) they are the most inspiring people ever.
i have a qustion 1 i love the band it is relly good that yall are a team but in yalls vedeo called enemies do yall relly hit each other and if not how do yall make it soom like yall hurt each other and btw i like at the end cause the singer asked the drumer i think like that went well and he did not get hurt well into he puched him awesome
They didn't really hurt one another, however, Eric Bass truly did hit Brent Smith in the head with that coffee pot. It was special breakaway glass meant to break easily, but it still gave Brent that nice lump on his forehead at the end of the video.
Are the same band members in Shinedown now, here today the same members when they sang Simple Man, cause they don't look the same, The question sounds weird but I just started listening to them 2 yrs ago & now can't stop. The video when they sing Simple Man in that run-down house driving out in that pickup truck, is the one I'm talking about, maybe it's just cause there younger, someone help me in this question.
No, the lead guitarist and bassist from that line up were fired from the band before The Sound Of Madness recording started in '07. Eric and Zach (sitting on the ends) were recruited after the album was completed and have been in the band ever since.
Scott Bormann not quite. Brent smith and Barry Kerch have been in the band since day 1, but the original bassist and guitarist (brad Stewart Jasin Todd) were kicked out in 2007 I believe. From what I heard, Brad got depressed and didn't like the direction that the band was going with the sound of madness. Jasin was kicked out during the recording of the sound of madness and has writing credits on that album (devour, the sound of madness, the crow and the butterfly, junkies for fame and probably a lot more). Both were replaced by Eric bass and Zach Myers (the guys on the opposite ends of Brent and Barry) and have been in the band since then
@Rusell Shaw Brent started the band and Barry is the original and current drummer. The first band member that was recruited was the original bassist, Brad Stewart THEN Jasin joined the band and Barry joined last. Eventually Eric and Zach took over for guitar and bass.
Amber Parks that was nice of your dad to help Zach, but plz - you should not post that kind of info, seriously -you can get your Dad in Trouble, HIPPA Violation! Just saying, Blessed Be 🕊
I have found myself coming back to this interview more and more in the past couple of years and literally BLASTING it out to EVERYONE I can ...... Aside from the fact that I, have and always will, love their music... Brent nailed a TRUTH that more than ever NEEDS to be brought to the front and dealt with - people are becoming more and more sensitive and regardless of why they are, some things CANNOT BE CORRECTED USING "PC" METHODS. My Dad did exactly what Brent's Father did - only my training began when I was 6. My Dad was going to make darn sure that his baby girl could stand up for herself in any situation - never to start something, but if needed, I had better finish it. In the mid '70's being the only girl in a martial arts class was interesting to say the least. Now however people are getting butt hurt over some of the most ridiculous things and the REAL issues are getting lost in the deluge of everyone clamoring for their "15 minutes" - I KNOW SHINEDOWN (and a few other bands) will continue to focus on the REAL.
@@bobbilowery2975 of course! The expression on his face kinda reminded me of the whole Kathy Lee incident... 😬🙄 I hate it when people say stupid, rude things and make him look like that.

Shinedown fans care when one of you have had a bad day and we will never fault you. We 110% appreciate what you bring to us, your fans!
I just saw the band in Michigan on April 3 and it was a good experience and it was great seeing them love the music and the band

Totally agree with Brent as far as dealing with bullies.
These guys seem very genuine and cool.

If You Only Knew was written for his son, he's mentioned that in a few interviews. I'm not sure about For My Sake
For my sake is probably about the ex guitarist of Shinedown Jasin Todd.

ask a question for Barry
i heard sometimes you brent go off the stage and meet your fans is that true?????????
They should answer some questions about Jasin Todd

Genial.. odio las bandas en las que sólo habla el vocalista
Qué onda? zach se está durmiendo XD

"Very insightful for a rock star. I wasn't expecting that." Pretty condescending if you ask me.
