Its interesting watching this. Look at him now. Hes so confident hes got his life together and his voice is still as good maybe better. Just a lovely bloke really.
What he's saying about believing it when he hears someone sing I feel that and see it in his eyes when he sings Save me. That song hits me somewhere deep and you can tell he feels what hes singing.
Brent is such a phenomenal human being. I’m so proud of him. He loves music the way I love medicine, Shinedown is so much more than a band!
Legend. There is nothing wrong with liking rap. I love rock, and i love rap and hip hop. I also love jazz, reggae, dubstep, metal, death metal, country etc. Just because you like one music genre doesn't you can't admire others.
True artist in all respects....and such a real person!

Brent is amazing, one of the best singers I've ever heard. To me, he is right up there with Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury. His voice just gives me chills every time. If I could sing like he does, I would never talk again, I'd just sing everything I said.
"I wanna believe you when you sing it to me" - couldn't describe it better, exactly what I think or feel when I listen to bands and singers.
And so cool that he searches that in music cause he is actually someone that I believe; every single word.
His lyrics are always so meaningful and honest.
Brent is one of not so many artists that impress me on so many levels. 💖
Such a brilliant voice, so down to earth, patient, kind.
He cares about his fans, wants them to feel welcomed and loved & he always gives his best on stage! Shinedown never disappoint 😈👏
No wonder I love this man. He has some amazing taste in music. Hello! Soul? Otis Redding? He's only like one of the best soul singers. Sam Cooke? Yes!! No wonder I love this person dearly. He sings from his guts and is a true music lover. If you haven't seen Shinedown...you must. Put it on your bucket list. You won't regret it. Brent will motivate, inspire you and you will leave the concert a different person. Favorite Rock band hands down!
Why do people make it sound like something is wrong with his speaking voice? He sounds normal. And his look 😍 👌 His taste in music is not stagnant. So many of the bands he mentioned, such as Bon Jovi, are my favorite bands. Brent can talk all day, and I would listen. 🎶 to my ears.
Just love listening to this! He is just such a great person. He is so believable.

I think some people forget artists like Brent smith are people too, not just voices
He sounds so different when he's talking to when he sing's, hard to imagine that voice coming form that, not sure i would believe ir if i hadn't seen it myself.
But when he said NWA he stole my heart all over again. It's like me as a dude!! Yessssss

Brent Smith is by and large my all time Favorite artist. Love his voice, I listen to his songs often and have a complete drive list for visiting my eldest child and his family , driving from East Texas to Denver, Co. His songs speak to me about numerous situations and I love the lyrics as well as the music. Keep up the good work! You are amazing and God has plans for your life!

I've seen these guys in concert and they're AWESOME. I was born in 76 and I ALSO loved the Dukes of Hazzard theme song too and watched that show EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY NIGHT and then of course had to sit and watch Dallas and Falcon Crest with my parents....lmao.
Brent you are great but I want the old Shinedown again. Please come back Jasin and Brad. ❤️

I'm also a soul fan as well as rock, and other things, my parents were Mods in the UK in the late 60's so it was all Motown and Northern Soul in our house growing up until I discovered the joy of rock music, (something my parents weren't too happy about, their son liking rock n roll, leather and denim, and motorbikes, everything the Mod despised lol) I'm not too keen on Northern Soul but could listen to Tamla/Motown all the time.
I love Otis redding, Sound garden, soul music and power singers. I guess that's why I love these guys.

i miss old brent... back in leave a whisper and stuff when he had long red hair he looked more like a boss.... and he sang with more soul it seemed like to me. he had more feeling in his singing.
That's what happens when you grow old and overuse your voice in the wrong way, damaging it.
Sorry, but I just saw him two times last week and he's a better artist than ever before?! The new style fully suits him, even comforts him. He's got amazing power on stage and he'll never lose his ability to touch the audience when he's doing a speech.
If you don't like the new record it's your choice - they went on in their career and wanted to bring in something new. And they absolutely did! If you listen closely, Threat To Survival is another masterpiece, especially lyrically!
AND-Imusic When did I say I don't like him as a vocalist..
I'm just pointing out the clear facts as disappointed as they may be.
I love the new album too then again, watch their live show on Jimmy Kimmel I believe where they play state of my head..
I don't think he did such a good job on there..
@theandiller I love TTS that album was really about Brent. He has admitted in interviews that he slipped up with his addiction and it was bad after touring Amaryllis. He was so bad Zach took him to a clinic to get clean.
