I think people overlook stun threshold stat, Unwavering Stance is likely meant for shield characters, since incoming damage while blocking builds up stun. If there's an item or skill that allows to block even red attacks, this might be really good.
Looking at Avatar of Fire the orientation of dmg conversion os different now, poe1 is:phys>elem>chaos, poe1 is any direction, so you can convert chaos back to fire, or probably other elements or even phys.
"Cannot be stunned" cannot exist with active block. Also, they think I won't Path all the way to Vaal Pact on my Blood Mage? You underestimate my autism, GGG!
Unwavering stance - there will still be skills you can use to move away from attacks. You'd just have to be sure to avoid it completely and not need the i frame and you'd have to use a skill slot if you don't already have a usable skill already in your build. But with high life too your stun threshold would be silly.
very astute observation of urs. mind enliughtening me on how the fuck ur gonna get a significant amount of es when u are building 800 strength for ur weapons? dumb ass?
unwavering stance isn't bad if you are sword and board. It basically doubles amount you can block with no downside (you aren't gonna dodge roll anyways) Even an 80IQ andy could see thats what it's for.
i love how quin was arguing about attribute requriements when you could have opened any poe2 gameplay and looked at an item ingame and he would have seen a flat number like in poe 1 xD
the thing im thinking is, what are the str requirements for those top base two handed maces... it just sounds way too powerful for there to not be a big downside. and where do you get that strength from? you might need t1 strength on every piece of gear, speccing out of damage clusters and going for attribute nodes etc.. or you sacrifice the top bases for mid tier bases with good rolls?
Gemling 2handed swords for weapon switch. Because gemling is also high strength attribute class. Swords are 50/50 str dex requirement. I might go witchhunter first then gemling on late game. Like i did to deadeye to warden ascendancy because 2x tinctures is OP.
@Drogash the thing is it would be hard to play melee first on this game early on. Remember there is no 6 portals on map. They did a survey on what class die the most on poe2 test, monk rank the highest warrior is 2nd. Monk though is the coolest.
For blood magic, we'll have to see the life to mana ratio. If % hp regen is enough to cover the cost of a 6-link attack, blood magic will be a no-brainer. No need to invest in mana at all on gear and passives saves some affixes and points for something else. On the site that shows skill gems, an attack like sunder is 44 mana at level 12, so let's say 88 with support gem cost multipliers. 88 health each attack, with at least 2 or 3 attack per seconds is around 176 to 264 health lost per second. This is 5 to 7% of a 4000-6000HP health bar for a level 12 gem. A level 20 might cost a lot more. I guess we'll see once we have more data.
well youll just have to get leech from somewhere if it really cant be solved with just regen. Im excited to see how leech will feel with the base duration being 1 second now
This kinda sucks, it would have been much more fun to watch Quin play the game blind for the first time. Like it's just early access, who cares about solving the game before release? Imagine if Quin saw all of these things for the first time when he started the game up instead. Mathil is just playing D2R and not caring one bit about learning PoE2 until release. Sorry but that'll be so much more fun to watch.
I mean, first thing I'm gonna do in the game is spend hours reading the tree. So I could start Dec 6th, or start now. Prefer now. Quinn probably the same.
I mean better now than sit for hours stalling on launch looking at the tree. I know most will anyway and tree / skill gems aren't really huge spoilers. Looking at boss guides / uniques and other guides I would consider spoiling yourself.
abount giants blood quin looks at poe1 items where the highest are arround baselevel 69 we saw some crossbows preview with a base level of 93 needing like 300dex or some shit so these will be alot harder too equip with this note
Can you dual wield a sceptre with a 1H assuming you have the attributes for both? If so a gemling merc could stack strength and take giants blood for a 2H in one hand and a sceptre in the other. Or am I being autistic.
Lol theres already so much I dont get. Bro said I'd prefer a hot style flask... like I'm taking overleech. Wtf is overleech? And I like ele equalibriam. That's fun to think about lol that reworded from poe1 and more understandable. Right away, I guess something like explosive arrow is going to want on hit cold damage... that inflicts fire exposure for the explosion. In poe, just 1 spell inflicts exposure to the other 2 elements as far as I know so you want any onhit element other than fire. Actually, I guess that more restrictive in poe 2 because you can only have frost on hit.... or I guess maybe you want cold and lightening still cause the lightening damage will buff the on hit cold damage of the next shot.... GGG is so good at making games Lol
I am really confused about how attributes work, there is supposed to be a Cap on how many support gems of each type you can use based on your attributes, so it's confused that Using a Red Skill gem Gives you 5 Strength...... because then gems you had equipped would be self for filling it's own requirements wouldn't it...?? that just seems strange to me... And having to have 880 strength seems out of hand.... .. I mean we don't know numbers but thats every node being strength, every gem ( if they contribute to strength ) being red... every armor stacking strength, and now.... you have no room for Dex or Int and you'll really suffer for trying to Gem your gear appropriately given u can only have 1of each type on your character at once..
It seems out of hand because you're comparing it to PoE1 attribute values. Maybe attributes on gear go much higher. We don't know what the numbers are relative to. I do have some degree of confidence that attributes won't be as restrictive as you might be implying, because then the gemling legionare ascendancy just seems insanely more versatile than all the others
So it must be the case that we can't swap between keystones with weapon set points, right? There's no way Vaal Pact would be on the tree in that form if you could turn it on and off. Way too powerful.
I have to assume leech is still hard capped to 20% of your life per second. Old Vaal pact was busted because leech was uncapped so you could regen your whole health every server tick.
he based his idea on needing str for both weapons on what the guy said, and what was listed as the highest str requirement for a 2handed weapon that we know about. the guy said it would require 850+ str to dual wield the highest tier 2 handed maces, and the highest we have seen so far in poe2 is 220(?). this would only require 440 str, so why did the guy say 850+? so, its either the system has changed, or this guy doesnt know what hes talking about.
They might only have unintentionally summed up the doubled attribute requirements, it happens by mistake and that needs to be clarified. In a way it is simply a base "100% increased attribute requirement", dual wielding attribute requirements in principle works the same as in current POE.
Honestly in this case I think it should be a combined stat requirement. Just doubling and taking the highest of the two doesn't make sense and honestly it's not even really a downside.
If you check on POE2DB the highest level item I can see is a staff with a 205 INT requirement. So we can guess on that item, the highest weapon stat for STR is around 205 or higher. If you take Giant's blood expect to need around 500 STR on maces.
@@OrionDuCrosthey are additive for gems, i doubt that they are additive for gear, otherwise you would need to get like 500 of each stat to just equip all gear on your character
@@OrionDuCros It would make no sense for weapon attribute requirement to be added together before the multiplier The way keystone is phrased, you'd expect for weapons to have double attribute requirement, I don't know where this dude got 4x Your character needs to be twice as strong to be able to hold 2h weapon in one hand, whether you dual wield or not doesn't matter - if one of his arms is strong enough to do it, the other one should be equally as strong. Considering that numbers in the game are squashed compared to PoE1, I just don't see the requirement totaling 800+. It's 400-ish at best.
@@OrionDuCros We can only speculate for now so we just have to wait on EA and hopefully we get a much more reasonable attribute requirements for our gear when taking this keystone.
@8:00 if a weapon needs 200 str to equip one 2hdr and for Giant's Blood you need double the strength to equip another 2H then that would be 400 Str for 1 weapon thus 800 str total for TWO 2 handers. Edit, this is assuming the top tier weapon NEED 200 str to begin with. They may be only 100 if stats are reduced over all.
