Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Eneroth Unfold Tool in the comments below! :)

It's a great tool. In my case is very useful when I unfold things in order to create toolpaths for my CNC. Until now, I did that manually.
    Thank you!

There is also Jim Folz UnfoldTool (very old but maybe the best in terms of options), and Flattery (this one does not work well if you are not inside of a group, it took me a while to figure that out).

Very cool tools, the smash object is a nice one too...would be good for making linear maps out of gradient landscapes too I think...I'm no good with the organic stuff yet though so...

Nice. Does it work if the faces have a thickness ? Or would the thickness be unfolded ? Plywood box into cut sheet .

Unfortunately, nothing in Sketchup does that - you have to do it manually.
I've seen it only in Solid Works.
In Sketchup it sure may be possible with Dynamic Components, but you have to know some Excell programming language...

I am looking for something the opposite taking a flat surface to make a shape. Cheers, Thanks for the Video.

Jim Folz UnfoldTool and Flattery - I've tested them in the past and one of them does that (or both), you have to test and watch tutorials.

Is there any method to unfold the lines and curves on a curved surface together into a 2D plane?

Can you demonstrate this tool with a folded plate structure

is there any tutorial after u unfold to flatten, then wrap again to shape before?

Not really - I'd just create a copy of the object and unwrap that - then you have the original that's still 3d
