I did my first metal castings this summer. I noticed that the Mold Max 29NV I've been using was rated to 400° F and I found some low temp alloys and decided to give them a try. I ended up going with the Tin/Bismuth alloy that had the most tin in it, as I wanted as close to a silver finish as possible. It was rated to melt at 220° F and ended up working pretty well. It's surprisingly heavy, but it does the job. I'm still making custom badges with it.
I'm planning on mixing some silver powder into my next metal casting to see what effect it has. My fear is that it will create an unusable alloy, but my hope is that the temps won't be hot enough to fuse the silver and have it act like a cold casting. I guess we'll see.

The Aluminum tape is a great idea. I saw the Evan & Katelyn casting video, but not this one. VOG (the Veg Oil Guy) has a lot of detailed 3D print to metal casting videos.
