And now he's the CEO of Liverpool Football Club. Clearly a boyhood dream to have such a close affiliation with the club, good for him, he seems like such a nice and genuine man.

110% agree, sadly I'd also include most of the other shows IGN does outside of this and GameScoop. Shows like Xbox Unlocked and Beyond etc feel awkward to listen to at their current state. I think we need better synergy towards the current staff or better prep themselves before recording. I understand they have lots to do and they're probably having a difficult time transitioning in the RUclips era we're in, but some of the shows/episodes are just not enjoyable, engaging or informative, with a lot of misinformation too. Maybe I've just grown out of them :-) still glad they've got some great shows/exclusive scoops.
This is quality content. Videos and interviews like this could revive the decaying games journalism industry.

Great interview, Peter Moore has a fascinating history and a great personality.
Watched this on and off over the course of an afternoon and morning at the office - great interview and insight into his journey through the games industry. Am happy for him to be joining Liverpool, but will miss him being a part of the games industry overall. He was willing to sit down and speak to pretty much anyone if his schedule allowed.
I've said it before but will say it every month! Great job Ryan! I listen to a lot of podcasts and interviews as I am on the road all day due to my job. I can say I know next to nothing about journalism but even so the interviews you do are my favorite. You seem really personable and honestly interested in those you interview. Biggest of all though, to me it seems your guests feel the same way because I have yet to see any of them be unenthusiastic to be there. Hope this segment stays with IGN for a very long time. Thanks for the entertainment Ryan!

Yeah this is what we need more of, genuinely interesting and informative content for adults. Not usually what you associate IGN with but they have the power to get these interviews so it should happen more often.

Amazing interview. I have criticized Moore as a turncoat and for his Xbox favoritism as the EA head, but he is a fascinating figure that is very well spoken. Very interesting discussion.

Really a great interview! I wanted at first to watch for a few minutes but just couldn't stop it! So I watched the whole thing, lol. Always liked Peter Moore. Great memories with the Dreamcast and Xbox 360. :)
This is some of my favourite games industry coverage and something we don't see that much of. I love following gaming news and the industry but it doesn't seem we get this mature content very often. Hope you get the views etc for this to continue being a thing, Ryan seems great on this at engaging Peter and the conversation flows really nice. Hope to see more stuff like this soon :)

Nail on the head. This is my biggest criticism of the gaming journalism industry. Very little mature ground level "deep dive" kinda content out there. Everything is getting smaller, and more juvenile. Love Unfiltered and it's tone. No opportunity otherwise for large audiences to learn about how this industry works.

They're a business. They have to be. Always. The second there's a big enough (predetermined) market for Fight Night or Skate, they're more than happy to add more fiscal quarter revenue.

They mentioned the name but as part of the dreamcast conversation, they just have ryo hazuki on the thumbnail cuz hes a mascot to the dreamcast along with sonic
Where was this guy's during BF 2042. BF Hardline gets pushed because it needed more time apparently. That decision needed to be made for modern Battlefield.

The segment about the demise of the Dreamcast, certainly gets me thinking about Nintendo with the NX. I wonder if they'd find themselves in a similar position should the NX fall flat on its face.

Hey Ryan, great job on the interview, but the reality of it is it's just too damn short. 1.5 hours is cool, but if it's Peter Moore I think 10-15 hours is probably at the very least skimming the top of everything in that man's mind. Loved listening to it and great questions. I'm always appreciative of anything that talks about the Dreamcast days because I think they're so highly overlooked and who better to talk about it than Peter Moore. Thanks for this series. Unfiltered is so, so great.

Good to know all the history of his career but when he starts talking about how good his decision were or how good EA is, is hard to believe because you're listening to a marketing guy who have done this for year, every 2 words might be a lie in between

We DO NOT NEED real players in NCAA Football. All the real players are gone after 4 seasons anyway. Just give us a new version with fake players that focuses on the Dynasty Mode.
The only problem to solve is the team starting stats. Besides that I can't figure out why they haven't bought it back. I still play ncaa 14 to this day.

I run a gaming community and had issues with the four Battlefield 1 servers I own and which are linked to my account. They were all down for a day or so and after numerous contacts they were unable to fix my servers and repurchased them and cancelled my old ones. This means I lost all my followers (we had the busiest hardcore servers in Oceania) lost our banlists and settings. As my only compensation EA offered me a 15% discount code for my next purchase, not across all servers just on 1 purchase. I have been really underwhelmed with EA since BF4 (last great PC game) I was considering not buying anymore games as the PC community seems to have been forgotten about (lack of server options and admin support). Anyhow since a lot of my community are going to be buying SW BF2 I thought I may as well buy the game using the discount code. Only to find it would not validate, after contacting support I was told as per the Terms and Conditions some games would not be valid for promo codes and that if I wanted to use the code to wait for a month after release and then buy the game. So I use cash to buy a service and when it does not perform as expected my compensation is a 15% discount code that I can only use on OLD games or games you choose to allow? So I requested they credit my account that the money came out of to use to buy the game and of course you can't do that either, go figure. So what can you do?"

There's the marketing man . . . bullsh*tting about the tattoo. Notice the play with words where he doesn't confirm it's the Halo 2 tattoo but "a" tattoo. . . . I 100% believe he has a tattoo there, probably a f'n dot, or at least nothing that's the tattoo he's implying he has; it's probably a tiny wee thing he got added just so he can spout out the exact line he just spouted out. lol
But of course he's "passionate" about the industry. How could you not be passionate about that which has made you a multi-millionaire.
