I get why people dislike the guy. I have always taken his words with huge grains of salt. So, I have never been disappointed with his work. I just enjoy how enthusiastic he gets about his stuff. I don't know if he "lied" on purpose. But I'd like to believe he was just throwing his ideas out there without thinking about the consequences myself. I just loved a lot of his work. That said, man, I miss fable. Definately no perfect games. Especially after 1. But I had such a good time with them. Absolutely a case of a series that completely got me with its setting and atmosphere. I have great memories of fable 1 and 2, and even 3 to a much lesser extend. Definately need to play those again one of these days. I genuinly hope he gets to make another one or even a spiritual successor, one day.
I absolutely love how honest Peter is throughout the entire episode. He is such a smart man and hearing what he has to say is fascinating. Thank you so much Ryan and Peter. What a wonderful interview.
Xgamer2462 Molyneux and honest don't belong together. He's charismatic sure, but his stories are full of exaggeration and hyperbole. Its the same attitude that got him the reputation he now has. He's the guy that caught that huge fish that got away. I'm only a little way in - can you believe this guy was literally at the bottom of every one of his classes in school? It almost sounds like... bullshit. Nah, it's just Molyneux being Molyneux. He's a great salesman.
Rafael Lopez I do think the overall quality of the games dropped with each game. And the games have always been kind of clunky. There were some serious issues with the pacing of 3 in particular, especially near the end when you become king/queen. But I still enjoyed fable 3 a lot. But 1 and 2 were definately my favorites.
Really confused about this comment section but then i remember that the age group that spends the most time on youtube is 7-17. Peter is such a cool weird guy.
It would be interesting to see Nintendo buy 22 cans and make Molyneux an executive for their company, similar to Microsoft and Lionhead. They seem to be kindred spirits when it comes to innovation and design.
Legendary? Tell that to this guy who won whats in the cube and was shafted by molinuex, thought we had forgotten huh? www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-02-11-the-god-who-peter-molyneux-forgot
well..he is one of the grandfathers of the industry, and like it or not,he's embedded in games history. take the good part and go game designing , keedz
How can he show himself publicly? How is he still invited and respected?? Lying about game features is one thing, but SCAMMING people with the Cube and Godus shouldn't be forgotten that easily.
You can love him or hate him, but man. I love listening to Peter Molyneux almost as much as the man loves listening to himself.
MtMarshi yeah he’s got a very soothing voice and accent.
"Got home, started playing with myself... on the pong machine"
Lmao
We definitely need another black and white, the concept of those games were so amazing. To this day we still don't have something like it.
i agree, its a horrible thought to think ill never get to play a game like that on todays computers.
yes thats so sad :(
I was blown away from B+W and extreme hyped for the second. I love both but the creature was in 1 better.

I miss his fantasitic games, hope Peter will stay in the business for long time
I served him in the place i worked a few months back, he gave a hint at what his next game was. A really nice guy!!
"I'll actually tell you the real answer" 2 seconds after saying "the actual honest answer is:" lol, lmao even.
3:34
The best and only part of the interview.
Ha, I've been replaying the Fable franchise recently on a whim, and now this video gets made. Fun coincidence.
One of THE most interesting people to listen to. Very few people on this planet can keep my interest and attention like this man.
Make a Fable 4 please
Lmao who remembers "Milo" and "project natal"
hire a good bullshitter for your bullshit device, eh?
This is amazing. Thanks Ryan.
OMG, what a great interview.
much respect for the guy to be honest! :)
The stories Molyneux tells are fascinating.
ill be the first to admit... i actually enjoyed fable 3. i mean it wasnt a good fable game but that doesnt mean it wasnt a good game at all
Rafael Lopez
It's my favorite of the three and one of my favorite games of all time.

The Richard Garriot interview was amazing. Look forward to listening to this one when it hits iTunes.

"Closed the door and starting playing with my self" 2017 PM
Closed the bedroom door, start to play with myself, BEFORE playing the pong machine
Molyneux is a legend.
a great liegend. hardy-har.
an interesting foundation at making some influencial games. It was all seemingly based off of happenchance.
The store chain on Theme Park that he was discussing, but couldn't remember was Electronics Boutique.
Peter is AMAZING.
Of course he is.
Gandalf The Grey at lying? sure. should of been a car salesman
amazing at overselling underdevelopped products
This guy's awesome.
Dungeon Keeper is best game for me ever
Say what you will about PM, there's something about how he tells stories that makes me smile.
fable games have been my fav first video games i plyaed played fable the lost chapters 20 times putting in 800 hours
It would be interesting to see Nintendo buy 22 cans and make Molyneux an executive for their company, similar to Microsoft and Lionhead. They seem to be kindred spirits when it comes to innovation and design.
So now I know why Dungeon Keeper went from awesome to no-so-awesome DK2.
I kind of see him as the excitable kid who raises his hand and confidently asserts the wrong answer. But he's made some great games.
Oh wow! His demise at Bullfrog is sad! Peter is still the greatest! ♥
@IGN Have have you guys tried to land an “Unfiltered” with Ex Bungie and Co Creator of Destiny, Joseph Staten? This would be EPIC, Thanks.
Quite an honest guy this Peter Molyneux.
Hmmm.
Legendary? Tell that to this guy who won whats in the cube and was shafted by molinuex, thought we had forgotten huh? www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-02-11-the-god-who-peter-molyneux-forgot
But its 100% live changing and true... that guy will maybe never fall for hype again.
Brilliant stories
Power Monger was done by him too right? I loved that game when i was in high school!
Them park made me love sim games
when he goes on about cigarette ash you can here him stop himself from saying huge piles of co. (caine)
Ow fantastic, I'll get my koolaid and fried chicken popcorn to watch this
well..he is one of the grandfathers of the industry, and like it or not,he's embedded in games history. take the good part and go game designing , keedz

Why are these know separate episodes, preferred just one episode even if it was longer
lol he bullshitted all the way through his career after all! but i still love the man and his works. thanks peter
When is episode 2 out?
the man bull-shat all his life to the top LMAO
Hes a visionary. But sometimes his visions and aspirations get waaaay waaaaay waaaaaay to big for the game's budget.
Hey, Molyneux, love your works, but vulcan is the god of smithing and fire.
Make Lionhead Great Again!
Really dude.. you have to ask Peter "How to bullshit through a game development" have you been sleeping under a rock the past 13 years?
I thought he wasn't going to do any more interviews
Rule of thumb: there are no facts with Peter Molyneux.
I wonder how much Molyneux cheated out Taurus Impex lol
Will there be an Ep 2?
finished godus game when?
how is he a legendary game designer? Never heard or played his shit.
how is this #18 episode 1
Jay Gunter episode 1 of #18 of the show
Why they keep calling this dude Legendary, I mean hes AIGHT i guess legendary nahhh.
you watched the intro right? He himself claimed "renowned" at most.
biggest liar after that guy from Hello games
always when you think you got ridd of that guy for good
Sounds like he was fooling people from the start... :)
Why is he wiping the table all the time?
BumTheGame there was this very dirty stain
one would think IGN can keep their tables clean. It's a bit rude to expect a legend to wipe stains for them
BumTheGame well it's ign after all don't you forget that.. terrible production values on their part, shame on you ign
Interesting, but not even close to being as good as a Kim Justice video.
He's made his career off of lying...
Did you not listen to his interview?
"ill actually tell you the real answer".. right away this fool proves hes a pathological liar smh. Peter youre old news
delusional
He lied
Lie lie lie
