  • The Chinese have mastered the quick weeknight meal with stir fry, and the master of stir fry is chef Grace Young. She’s got two favorite recipes - Chinese-Burmese Chili Chicken and Peppery Vegetarian Rice. Both are fast, easy and delicious. Plus, Grace’s great tips on seasoning a wok.

    Outstanding! I got so much out of this video, from two new dinner ideas to how to cook a good batch of brown rice. And I got a few ideas for food hacks! Having Grace Young in the kitchen was a real treat, and finishing with a bottle of Riesling to complement the meal was an nice and elegant touch! My noggin is just swimmin' with ideas now. Great video, and great presentation. Thank you!

    a wonderful recipe but what I find unusual is Grace doesn't use the Chinese Cleaver

    • @erichenderson6515
      @erichenderson6515 5 лет назад

      She might've left it at home.

      In China, we actually have two kinds of cleavers. The first one isn't really a cleaver actually, although it looks like one, because it's far too thin and would be ruined by cutting bones for example. It's actually really no different from a chef's knife besides its shape. A chef's knife is easier to find anyway. I think the kind of cleaver you're thinking about is the other kind. It's much thicker and is used like a Western cleaver. We use it to chop bones and grind meat, but not to slice vegetables for example. I myself use a chef's knife to do most of my cutting and use a Chinese cleaver ( the heavier kind) to grind meats.

    .............this is a very... "professional" production. some tips on coming to youtube(i say this because quality and production are tv levels of professional) if you want more views, people flock to youtube for texture over quality:3 try to be more open/natural instead of professional.:) good luck on your internet journey!

      Sara is very well known and has a huge following. She has had tv shows for years. Her production methods are an extension of here tv programing, she is spot on with her videos.

  • @longfade
    @longfade 4 года назад +2

    Whoever "Sara" is....the perfect example of the inept, self-absorbed, and insecure host that can't stay on point or show any real interest or understanding of anything. Muting her microphone would help this along, because she contributes absolutely nothing. Grace Young is great, as always.
